Health Notes | Kersey has a seizure disorder that is controlled with medication twice a day. She is housetrained but a dog door would likely be best since her seizure medications make her thirsty so she takes a lot of bathroom trips. Other Dogs | Great with other dogs! Cats | Unknown - Kersey’s foster family does not have cats Children | Good with kids including 2 toddlers! Training | A couch-friendly family would be preferred by Kersey because she absolutely LOVES hanging out on the couch. She sleeps on her dog bed overnight. Activity Level | Leash | Personality | Kersey is silly and sweet. Story | Kersey has had a rough life and there’s not a dog more deserving of a loving furever home. Kersey was transferred to Colorado from Texas after being dumped in at least 5 different homes and shelters. It turns out she has a seizure disorder, which is now controlled with daily medication. Years of untreated seizures have left her with some balance and spatial recognition issues, but nothing that stops her from a hike in the mountains or a walk around the block. She is equally happy running and playing or hanging out and snuggling. Kersey is incredibly sweet and loving - if you are looking for a furry best friend and companion, Kersey is for you. She has stolen her foster family’s hearts and she will steal yours too if you give her the chance she deserves. Health Notes | Rosie is heartworm positive and Mile High Labs will pay for her treatment at one of our vets. From the x-rays taken while she was pregnant, the vet shared that her heartworm was in the initial stages and not advanced. Other Dogs | Rosie likes to pick which dogs she wants to be friends with and will avoid those that she may feel threatened by. Cats | Unknown - her foster family doesn’t have cats. Children | Great with children. Training | Rosie is so chill and such a great partner. She won’t jump on people and can be trusted in the house alone. Leash | Activity Level | Personality | Total Lab personality - so sweet and easy-going. Rosie is a great companion dog and loves to be by your side. Rosie has had a few litters of puppies and this last one she had will be her last. Rosie enjoys hanging out, being loved on and her daily 3 mile walk. Story | Rosie came from a shelter out in the country outside of Houston, TX. She was taken in the day before the winter storm. No one realized she was pregnant and she had 3 puppies back in March. She has a fun and playful attitude and will pick up toys and play with them by herself. She is mildly interested in the ball and has waded into the wading pool by herself.
