Children | Lola met some kids at an adoption event and was so sweet and gentle. Training | Lola is a pretty blank slate.  She is starting to learn basic commands from her foster family and doing great with crate  and potty training. She's a quick learner and eager to please. Leash | Lola has not been exposed to the leash very much but she loves walks now!!!   Activity Level | Medium. Likes to play and run with the dog in her foster home, but will also lay down and be calm. Personality | She is timid at first but gaining confidence every day.  A few days in and she loves snuggling. 🤍 She has the cutest little smile and tail wag.  She likes chasing balls in the yard though hasn't quite figured out the bringing it back part.  🤣  She really wants to please her humans. Story | Lola and her 4 siblings ended up in a high kill shelter as strays in Lufkin, TX.  Mile High Lab Mission brought them to Colorado for a fresh start. Other Dogs | Friendly! Cats | Cat tested at shelter and did great. He has been up front with the cats and does not bother them. He has a high prey drive with rabbits and squirrels on walks. Children | Lived with children 7+. Training | Laker is a smart boy and eager to please! He has never lived inside before, so he is learning what it means to be an inside dog. After initial curiosity, he usually moves on and is quite the gentleman. We are working on building his confidence with stairs - one step at a time! He knows "sit" and "treats" and is food motivated. He is fearful of the car but can hopefully overcome it in time. Leash | Laker walks well on a leash. He zig zags a little but he does not pull. He expresses interest in dogs we see on walks, but does not bark or lunge at them. Activity Level | Moderate. He enjoys his walks but is happy to sleep and play with his bones during the day. Personality | Sweet and cuddly. This boy is a love bug and enjoys being close to his people.
