General Notes | Lenny is a sweet and shy labradoodle looking to find his perfect family that will give him time to blossom into the social butterfly we know he will be. 🦋 He will need a person or people that are willing to be patient with him as he learns how to relax into his new environment. If you are looking for a shadow this is your guy! ❤️  Health Notes |  Other Dogs | Lenny has been around other dogs in the past. He would likely benefit from an older doggy role model to show him the ropes! 🐶  Cats | We are not sure how Lenny is with cats. Children | In his previous foster home Lenny was introduced to children and did well. Because he is still learning that people are his friends, we would recommend a family with older children, as to not scare him. Training | Lenny is still learning that people are safe. Once he bonds with someone, he is eager to be at their side 24/7! 💙  He is potty trained and hasn't had any accidents with his foster dad! Leash | He is working on not pulling while walking but loves exploring all the new smells and sights while out! 👃 Lenny is still learning to put on his harness, but once he adjusts he is ready to go. 😀  Activity Level | Lenny sleeps through the night and likes to snooze for at least 8 - 9 hours with his foster dad! 💤 While he is curious about the world outside, he also enjoys taking a nap here and there while he waits for his people. Lenny LOVES his backyard time and lives to chase balls (still working on giving them back). 🎾  Personality | Foster dad says he is so CALM and SWEET! Did we mention that he loves loves loves treats?! 🥩  Story | Lenny was rescued from a shelter in Texas. Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Puppies to 1 year - $425, 1-6 years - $375, 7-10 years - $325, and 11+ years - $175. Purebreds are $475 regardless of age. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $600 per dog). Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only.  To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page! Cats |  Children | Hero’s foster family doesn’t have children but he doesn’t seem to have a mean bone in his body so would likely be great with children. He is a big boy so may be better with older children.  Training | So far we have found out he knows sit and he comes when called.  Hero’s foster family is working on crate training. He may do better with an adopter who works from home or retiree as the crate makes him anxious right now.  He loves to be with his people!!  Leash | Hero walks well on a leash and responds to a gentle tug if he starts pulling a little.  He looooves going for walks!!   Activity Level | Hero is pretty mellow but does does give in for short play sessions when his foster brother wants to play but then he's ready for a nap.  He loves bones, squeaky toys, and a short game of fetch.   Personality | Hero is a big sweet goofy loving guy!!  His tail is always wagging. 😊He loves to be around his people and follows his foster dad around everywhere. Millie is incredibly sweet, calm and submissive. She adores all humans and wants to be as close as possible at all times. She gets along with dogs and cats as well. She is very comfortable in her crate and sleeps there at night. She is obedient. She learns quickly what is not ok to do. She loves being elevated for some reason, so she seeks out all couches and beds. She is getting better on walks, she scares easily and tries to bolt.    General Notes | Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Health Notes |  Other Dogs |  Cats |  Children |  Training |  Leash |  Activity Level |  Personality |  Story |  Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Puppies to 1 year - $425, 1-6 years - $375, 7-10 years - $325, and 11+ years - $175. General Notes | Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Health Notes | Overall seems healthy. Other Dogs | Willow likes the slow life and would do best with other calm dogs who give her time to get to know her surroundings. She has the most calm and gentle nature and likes to be near friendly dogs. She responds well to gentle playing and introductions, but she mostly enjoys being with her people. If you want to skip the puppy energy, Willow is your girl! Cats | unsure Children | She is a very gentle dog, so believe this would be fine. We have never seen her be aggressive. Training | Knows come, sit and no. She is potty-trained and crate trained! She sleeps all night in her crate. Leash | Willow enjoys walks and will let you guide her. If she is scared (dogs that approach without gentle introductions), she pulls a little but only to let you know she wants to stop walking. She is spectacular off leash. Activity Level | Willow mostly wants to relax and spends most of her time napping or being near her people. She enjoys daily walks whether it's around the block or a 3 mile hike. She is inspired by praise (she will run in from the other room if she hears "good girl"), food and chewy bones.  Personality | Willow is easy to please; she loves cuddles, food, and napping! Very sweet and shy. Willow seems like she would do great with a family that likes to hang out at home as she really likes napping near her people while they work. She enjoys her daily rides in the car and now jumps in and out, without a problem. She has learned that she really enjoys taking walks and is even comfortable on the patio of your typical chill restaraunt/brewery but otherwise just likes to relax around the house and be near her people. She is pure dog zen--Very chill; we rarely hear her bark. Story | We can't say enough about how sweet and gentle Willow is!  Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Puppies to 1 year - $425, 1-6 years - $375, 7-10 years - $325, and 11+ years - $175. General Notes | Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Health Notes | Healthy Other Dogs | Skillet is great with other dogs! Appropriate with play and is able to do his own thing if the other dogs are done playing. Cats | Unknown Children | His foster hasn't seen him with children, but she thinks he'd do well. He jumps a bit but he's SO gentle about it. Training | He doesn't know much, but his foster has started basics. He's SO food motivated so it'll be easy to teach him anything you want! He's fully house-trained and has never even tried to go in the house. He can hold it for a good long while too! Leash | He doesn't quite understand how leashes work, but he doesn't pull and he's super responsive to where you are and where you want to go. Not leash reactive to humans or dogs at all. Activity Level | Skillet is great at adjusting his activity level to yours. Want to cuddle on the couch all day? He's down. Want to play or go on a walk or a hike? He's also down! Personality | Skillet is such a love bug. When he came off his long transport trip, all he wanted to do was hang out and snuggle. He's a leaner - he leans into you when you're petting him. He loves belly rubs and butt scratches and cuddles and and any sort of human attention. His tail wags in circles when he's really excited and it's adorable! Skillet is also VERY food motivated! He'll do anything for even just his kibble. That will make training him a breeze! Skillet will complain for a few minutes when you first put him up in his crate, but settles down after that. He sleeps through the night in his crate without an issue. He's fantastic in the car - lays down immediately and just hangs out. Overall, Skillet is a super easy dog who's looking for his forever family! Story | Skillet was rescued from an Arkansas shelter off of the euthanasia list. He was able to hitch a ride to Colorado to find his forever family! Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age. General Notes | Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.  Jasper is a healthy boy who has a submissive play style making him great for dogs of all sizes! He will let the other dog come to him first, and then gauges their intentions! Considering how good he is with other smaller dogs, I would bet he would be good with cats, too! He is also good with kids and plays very gently.   He knows to sit, give paw and lay down. He's such a quick learner and loves learning new tricks!  He is GREAT on leash, hardly pulls and never pulls hard. He likes to be as active or as mellow as you want to be! He could walk forever if you let him but can also cuddle on the couch all day. The best way to describe him is a gentle giant. He's a big love bug who loves to cuddle and do anything you want to do. General Notes | Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Personality |  Are you looking for a happy, energetic snuggle bug to join your family? Spider's your guy! A friendly, loving pup, his favorite place is by your side, or on your lap, or under your feet... or outside playing chase with another pup! Spider is eager for attention and loves fetch. He chews on appropriate things (even though he sometimes takes our shoes on adventures around the room - they're never chewed!), and is 90% house trained. (He's had the occasional accident, but this is mitigated by keeping him contained and under supervision). He sleeps well in his crate at night and goes in to rest during the day. As a young dog, his patience in his crate during the day is limited, but as long as he's not in there too long and is properly exercised, he settles well. He rides so nicely in the car - either lying down in the back seat or looking calmly out the window, and rarely barks. He loves to lie on top of his crate to look out the window, too.   Other Dogs | Spider loves other dogs, but loves to play hard. He's probably a best fit for other young and/or energetic dogs. On leash, he's interested in other dogs but is not leash aggressive. Cats |  Unknown Children |  Unknown, his foster family does not have any children. Due to his size and energy, he would likely do best with older children (or kids who are very dog-aware). He's very friendly and loves people. Training |  Spider is working on his basic commands. He's mastered "sit" and "get down" (to stop jumping up on something), and has learned that sitting / calm greetings will earn him pets and affection. He is easy to recall from the backyard to come inside. He is strongly food motivated and very responsive, but short training sessions are best - he sometimes gets overexcited. He'll do best with an adopter that is ready to set boundaries and provide consistent training.  Leash | Spider's leash training is a work in progress. He doesn't mind the leash at all, but he's still learning how to walk without tripping the person walking him. Now that he knows the routine, he happily pops his head into his harness when it's walk time. Activity Level | He definitely is still a puppy and has the energy to match. Would do best in an active household, perhaps with another active dog to play with. That said, he can settle when needed and is content to rest under my feet when I work from home. He's learning that the outside is for playtime and that inside is calm. Health Notes |  Story |  Spider was rescued from a shelter in New Mexico and has been in Colorado since mid-October. General Notes | Pearl is extraordinarily obedient for a rescued pup. She's probably around 3-4 years old. Very friendly with my children (who are grown), but cannot imagine that she would be  rough around any child.  She's very playful with my dogs, unfortunately I cannot say about a cat...I have none. She weighs in around 65 pounds.  Super sweet and sits, lays and fetches without hesitation.   She does wonderful on a leash and around other dogs...she just wants to sniff and check them out. She's extraordinary trained for a rescue.            Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Health Notes |  Other Dogs |  Cats |  Children |  Training |  Leash |  Activity Level |  Personality |  Story |  Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Puppies to 1 year - $425, 1-6 years - $375, 7-10 years - $325, and 11+ years - $175. General Notes | Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.  Scout may be older, but he has a lot of energy and loves to get out and play. Scout was rehomed due to no fault of his own and loves meeting new dogs and people. Scout does walk on a leash, but pulls to the point where he makes himself cough (would be best on a harness). He doesn't mind cats being around. He loves to have his chin scratched. My name is Courage and I'm looking for my furever home. I was found as a stray in Roswell, NM and it's been a wild ride since then. I moved to Colorado not knowing what was going to happen. When my foster mom picked me up, I was so scared, I couldn't move! I was so hungry, tired and confused but after a week of decompressing and love, I am starting to open up. I'm still trying to learn the whole "walking on a leash" thing but I really like going outside and just exploring. I also figured out how to do my business outside so there haven't been any accidents in days and I am so proud of myself! I also really like cuddling with toys and napping all day on my comfy bed. I know I have a long way to go but if you give me a chance, I know I can be the best dog ever! If you think you'd like to meet me, please send in an application!  Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Puppies to 1 year - $425, 1-6 years - $375, 7-10 years - $325, and 11+ years - $175. General Notes | Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Gunner is an active pup.  He loves people and other dogs.  He would do best with an active owner or an owner with a dog that likes to play.  He LOVES fetch....and yes, he brings the ball back.  He also loves being outside in the yard and entertains himself chasing leaves, checking out every bush, and just lying in the sun Health Notes | Good health Other Dogs | Loves other dogs Cats | Unknown.  But my guess is he would want to play Children | Good.  Although I do not have young children, he has been great around the kids he has been around Training | Gunner is about 80% potty trained.  He uses the dog door and has only had occasional accidents.  He knows sit and responds almost always.  Gunner is learning down and stay and is VERY treat motivated in training.  He sleeps in his kennel every night without a peep.  Also kennels when I have to leave during the day. Leash | He is doing pretty well on leash but needs work. Activity Level | High.   Personality | Gunner goes from puppy zoomies to head on my lap for a nap.  He's a fun pup that loves people but needs to have more training to become the great dog I know he will be. Story | He was picked up as a stray in South Texas and taken to a shelter where Mile High rescued him. Thank you! | Thanks for checking Gunner's profile.  He's a great pup with lots of love to give.....just needs his person Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age.
