General Notes | Super smart, fearless with big dogs, pool, steps, just about anything. Eating (mix of Pedigree and Hills puppy food), drinking well. She is a very sweet intense dog. She is wonderful to snuggle and very affectionate but also playful. She will jump off ledges and stairs and is not afraid to tumble. She has been pretty good with house training but we are very vigilant with her taking her out often. Waking up from naps, outside. When she is particualry onry she generally is either hungry or needs to poo. It is pretty obvious when you start to watch. She has been an excellent car dog, laying calmly in the passanger seat. No issues with loud noises, machinery but is not a fan of the heat we have been dealing with. She is not a leave outside dog, she is a companion dog. She likes to carry things and can probably be trained to be a paper dog. So far no wanderlust and will stay close in the yard. Nala is great and will make a great addition to the right family. Health Notes | Other Dogs | No fear of big dogs! Plays great with my younger golden, drives the older dogs nuts but thankfully they are good natured. Cats | Children | Great with neighbors 4 year old, but still is a puppy with sharp nails and teeth! Training | Has sit down, laydown and come...Working on more. Leash | Working on it in yard, so far pretty good for a small puppy. We have a large yard so she has been working on leash manners, she does quite well for a puppy and will do just fine as long as you continue to walk her consistently. Activity Level | Active will play and follow, but will also nap. She is an energetic puppy, meaning when she wants to play you need to play with her. She will wrestle with our dogs and chase balls and sticks. She needs supervision or very puppy proof home. At night we put her in doggie jail and she does fine as long as she knows you are there, if you have left she will cry. A simple pat and she goes back to sleep. She does ask to go out 2X per night but has never pee'd or poo'd in her cell. Personality | Old soul smart girl, a tad sassy, intense looks but can also be very snuggly. She is likely going to be a velcro golden. She wants to be where you are, whether it is mowing the lawn, washing the car, sleeping, or working she is always near. Story | From what I know she and 3 littermates were dropped at a shelter in Lufkin, TX. I picked her up from Abbott medical and have had her since. Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age. Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption.
