General Notes | Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP. Health Notes | great dog, seems very healthy. Other Dogs | great with my male dog, they play together really well. Usually play hard a few times a day and then relax the rest of the time. It did take a few days for them to acclimate to each other. So if you have another dog you would need to take the time for them to get to know each other, and he can play rough, wrestling, but never aggressive. If he was in a house with no other dogs he would adjust quickly, but would recommend making sure he got in some exercise daily. Cats | not sure Children | great with my teenage kids Training | working on leash training. He does pull. Crate trained, but able to stay out at night. Working on basic commands, he does know sit and seems really smart. He mastered the doggie door in record time. He still needs to work on being socialized with other dogs. Leash | working on this, he does pull. Activity Level | he plays hard and then snuggles. Typical lab energy, playful, but then wants to just sleep and snuggle. Personality A great personality, very friendly, loves to be around people, is fine alone during the day. He loves to play and wrestle with our dog, but then is happy just to snuggle and relax. He doesn't realize how big he is at times. Listens well, and figured out the doggie door. Happy go lucky, loves bones and chew toys. He is good with other dogs, but can be rambunctious. He definitely needs time to adjust to other dogs, as he's very playful, and will use his body to his advantage. He has adjusted really well with our 75lb lab and has settled in nicely over the 4 weeks we've had him. Story | Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $475. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog). Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page! We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.
