General Notes | Sweet Brody is truly the cutest and the most wonderful little man! He is absolutely adorable, extra snuggly, and does amazing with both kiddos and dogs of all sizes! Brody is as flexible and patient as they come - playful, observant, and happy to go with the flow of his foster family's needs. Want to go for a car ride? He's up for it! Ready to walk the neighborhood? He's at your side! This boy is happiest wherever you are. Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP. Personality | Brody is sweet, inquisitive, and truly adorable. His foster family is still getting to know him, but thinks he has a pretty typical lab demeanor. He does well following the lead of his foster family, and is mindful of their routine. He likes sleeping in his crate, white noise, and playing with the family dogs. Brody is also as goofy as they come, and loves to snuggle with both his foster parents and furry foster siblings in between running and getting the zoomies with toys. He adores kiddos, and would be happy to have a family that likes cuddles and games of chase too! Story | Brody was rescued with his nine (!!) siblings and mama days after his mom gave birth on the streets in Houston, TX. A concerned citizen noticed their pregnant mama Honey, and immediately put out a plea for rescue. MHLM jumped into action, and a dedicated foster drove over four hours and searched for the family in order to save them. Since his rescue, he has been in a foster home in Houston before recently making his way to Colorado! Other Dogs | Brody does great with both big and small dogs, and is playful but respectful! When his Chihuahua foster siblings growl or set the tone that they don’t want to be messed with, he rolls over or walks away. He is great at reading the room, and knowing their boundaries. He likes to snuggle, follows his foster siblings around, and encourages them in play by dropping toys at their feet. Cats | Brody has met the neighbor's cat and was polite but standoffish. His fosters think he would do well with cat siblings, and would be curious but respectful of them. Children | Brody loves little humans of all ages and sizes, and would LOVE to have kiddos of his own! He would be awesome with kids of all ages as long as they are gentle and kind. He will need continuous training as he grows, as this boy is happiest trailing little friends! Training | Brody's training is in progress. He's working on potty training (he's 78.1284875% potty trained), is learning basic commands, and is also sleeping in a crate at night and throughout the day! He has already learned sit, and follows his foster sibling’s cues for additional rules around the house. Leash | Brody is a bit too little to walk on a leash currently, but loves to ride in the sling for family walks around the neighborhood! Leash training will come as he gets bigger. Activity Level | Moderate - Brody is your basic lab puppy, focused on playing and resting, back to back! Health Notes | Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog). Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page! We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.
