General Notes | Bolt is a blue-eyed gem! He is cuddly, sweet, and wiggles his whole body when meeting new friends! Bolt sleeps through the night in his crate, spends most of the day napping in a bed by his foster dad's feet, and loves playing with his foster siblings (both small and large dogs). He is great with both cats and dogs, is respectful of their boundaries, and is truly as cute and chunky as they come. Bolt leaves the Christmas Tree alone, knows that toys are the only thing for chewing, and adores being near his people. He will make a phenomenal adventure partner, and with the size of his paws, is going to be a BIG dog! Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP. Personality | Bolt is mellow for a pup, and quite relaxed. He loves children, being held, snuggled, and experiencing new things. He's very "go with the flow" and loves car rides, settling in for naps, and learning from his foster siblings. Story | Bolt came to Colorado from Houston after his mom was left at a shelter. He has settled in to life in the mountains and is enjoying time outside! Other Dogs | Bolt loves other dogs (as large as 120lbs and as small as 20lbs) and does great with new introductions. He is respectful of boundaries, and seems to be submissive and easily bossed around by his foster family's small dog! Cats | Cat tested and did well. Children | Bolt LOVES children and has the most fun playing with them! Training | Bolt is crate trained and sleeps through the night in his crate. He is working on basic manners like sit, lay down, off, and drop it. Leash | Bolt is still a little unsure of the leash and walks like a typical puppy (all over the place!) but is learning every day. Activity Level | Moderate to low. Health Notes | Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $475. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog). Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page! We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.
