General Notes | Donner is new to the world, but not new to stealing hearts! This little man is as cute as they come, and is going to make the world's best adventure and snuggle buddy. He is sweet, curious, and adapts well to new environments! Donner currently resides with a big lab foster brother, his brother, Blitzen, and a foster kitty brother. He's great with dogs of all sizes, and is learning to follow their lead and their cues. He does well in playing, and with nap time, consistently rotating between the two. Donner is as snuggly as they come, and loves to snuggle with both his foster parents and furry foster siblings. He adores small kiddos, and would be happy to have a family that likes cuddles, too! Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP. Personality | Donner is sweet and playful. His foster family is still getting to know him, but thinks he has a pretty mellow demeanor, outside of typical puppy shenanigans! He enjoys chewing on soft and hard toys on your lap and then taking a long nap on your lap! Donner is very loving and doesn't want to leave your side! He has a shorter coat and gets cold easily which just means that's he would prefer to spend all his time cuddled up with the humans to keep warm! He isn't sure how he feels about Colorado winters yet, but his foster parents got him a winter coat to keep him warm! Story | Donner and his 10 siblings and mama were pulled from a high kill shelter in TX, and brought to Colorado in December! Donner is still very young, and is learning how to be a dog. He's spent most of his life in a foster home and is well socialized! Other Dogs | Donner does great with both big and small dogs, and is playful but respectful! He picks up on doggy social cues and has been good about giving his grumpy, 8 year old foster brother plenty of space! He likes to snuggle, follows his foster siblings around, and entices them in play all the time! Cats | Donner is being fostered with a cat and is doing great! He mostly leaves the kitty alone and doesn't get in his space. His fosters think he would do great with a kitty sibling. Children | Donner loves little humans! He would be awesome with kiddos of all ages as long as they are gentle and kind. Training | Donner’s training is in progress. He's working on potty training, basic commands, and is also sleeping in a crate at night and throughout the day! He's a smart little guy and would love a family to continue teaching him how to be a dog! He's learning how to keep himself occupied on his own but definitely prefers being on his human's lap over being alone! He's already sleeping 8 hours a night in his crate with his brother without a peep! Leash | Donner is too little for leash training currently, but will work on it as he gets bigger. Activity Level | Moderate/high. Labs are high energy breeds that need plenty of exercise. He's fairly mellow now, but will need more exercise as he grows bigger and stronger! Health Notes | Healthy and happy! Thank you! Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525.
