Personality | Floyd is a beautiful chocolate Lab mix with a tender heart and a curious spirit. Floyd is nervous around new people and unsure about leash walking right now, but has warmed up quickly to his foster family and his happy puppy spirit is shining through. With time, patience, and kindness, he’s showing more confidence every day. If you have the heart and home to help Floyd blossom, he’ll reward you with loyalty and unconditional love. 💜 Story | Floyd was found as a stray puppy and ended up in a high-kill shelter before being rescued and brought to Colorado for a second chance! 🏔️ Other Dogs | Where Floyd truly shines is with other dogs—he LOVES to play with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a friendly, confident dog to help guide him.  He happily shares toys with his foster brother and takes correction well. Cats | Floyd hasn’t shown signs of prey drive. While we’re unsure how he is with cats, his demeanor suggests he may do well with a proper introduction. Children | Floyd has lived in a home with teenagers and does well with them—he may be a little nervous at first, but he’s always sweet. He hasn’t lived with young kids, so a calmer household might be best while he continues to build confidence.  Training I Floyd is crate-trained, house-trained, working on basic commands, and is treat motivated.  With patience, tasty rewards, and a loving environment, Floyd is sure to blossom into a loyal, happy companion. Leash | Floyd hasn't been exposed to the leash much in his life so his foster family is slowly introducing him to this concept. A secure yard and calm environment would be a big plus while he continues to learn.   Activity Level | Floyd has a wonderful balance of energy—he loves to play, especially with other dogs, but he also knows how to relax and enjoy some downtime. Whether he’s romping in the yard or curled up by your feet, Floyd is happy just being part of the action. General Notes | Handsome Henry is an active puppy who is so excited to help you conquer that half marathon, check all the 14ers off your list, and tag along on your next backpacking trip! This little man has the cutest upright ears, is on the smaller side for a lab mix, and is going to make the world's best adventure and snuggle buddy. He is goofy, happy, and adapts well to new environments! He's great with dogs of all sizes and loves everyone he meets. He does well in playing, and with nap time, consistently rotating between the two. Henry is as snuggly as they come, and loves to snuggle with both his foster parents while watching TV. He adores small kiddos, and would be happy to have a family that likes to cuddle and play! Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Personality - Henry is sweet, quirky and playful. He enjoys playing with his toys, wrestling with his foster dog siblings, and then cuddling up on your lap for a nap! He's also small for a lab and the smallest in his litter, so he's sized perfectly to fill up the corner of your tent on your next camping trip! Story | Henry and his 10 siblings and mama were pulled from a high kill shelter in TX, and brought to Colorado in December! His mom has the sweetest demeaner and passed that on to her babies. Henry has spent most of his life in a foster home and is well socialized! Henry's mom and siblings were all adopted and he's ready to find his forever home too! Other Dogs | Henry does great with both big and small dogs, and is super playful! He is being fostered with 4 other dogs and likes to snuggle up with them, follow them around, and entice them in play! He spends a good part of his day wrestling with his siblings and would love to have a doggy sibling! His mom owns a doggy daycare and takes him along, so he gets to spend his time having a blast playing with all the dogs!  Cats | Henry has not been cat tested.  Children | Henry loves little humans! He would be awesome with kiddos of all ages as long as they are gentle and kind.  Training | Henry knows how to use the doggy door and is nearly potty trained! Henry and his whole litter are super smart, active and very trainable! One of his siblings had a DNA test done and was mostly Lab and German Shepherd, which may mean he will be the most loyal and intelligent boy around! He loves food and will do anything for a treat! He's still a puppy and will need continued training as he learns how to be the best puppy he can be! He will thrive in a home that wants to teach him to do all sorts of tricks and new commands! Henry is still working on his crate training and is currently crated when his fosters leave the home. They leave him with a lick mat to keep him occupied. He may bark for a few minutes once he finishes his lick mat, but usually setttles in for a nap shortly after. He may be better suited for a home without shared walls over an apartment because of this. His parents think he may be mixed with Malinois due to his intelligence and athleticism, so he may grow up to be the perfect home security system!  Leash | Henry's leash training is in progress! Activity Level | High. This little guy has a lot of energy and would thrive with either a playful dog sibling to wear him out or a family willing to put in the work to exercise him both physically and mentally! Henry would love to be your new running or hiking buddy as he thrives off of exercise!  Health Notes | Healthy and happy! Thank you! |  Adoption Donations |  Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. General Notes | Recently saved from a hoarding situation with 71 (!!!) other dogs, trapped and starving in crates in a school bus, Carly has now escaped to the good life and is doing well in adjusting to living in a home! She is always smiling and wagging her tail, ready to make new friends.  Story | A bystander outside of Galveston, Texas, noticed loud noises coming from a school bus and camper in a state park. When support arrived, what they uncovered was a horrific animal hoarding situation, including 71 dogs in crates stacked to the celing and on top of one another. All of the dogs were emaciated, covered in their own feces, and very obviously not taken care of. More than 30 were taken to the Houston ASCPA for medical treatment. Sweet Carly girl made her way to a MHLM foster in TX! Now she is living the good life, adjusting to a loving home, and can't wait to be a Colorado dog! Other Dogs | Carly was being kept in a crate on the bus with her two sisters. She does well with other dogs! She is young and learning cues, but plays with excitement and joy. General Notes | Parker is a happy-go-lucky yellow lab who offers an endless supply of cuddles and affection. She's ready to fill your home with love, long walks, and wagging tails! Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Personality | Sweet, adoring, and snuggly! Parker's foster says "Parker is a sweetheart and a big cuddle bug! She's a very easy dog and a quick learner- very responsive to commands. She's only had one accident and no chewing or barking issues. She easily gets along with all 4 of my dogs and is great with cats. She smells them when they walk by and rub on her, but she's very respectful and just kinda stares at them politely. Parker hasn't had any food aggression - she eats with the other dogs and is ALWAYS hungry. Parker is definitely a Velcro dog- she wants to be right next to a human at all times even when going out to potty she's always watching and stays close - like just in the grass in case you try to leave her. Parker is a low energy girl. She is interested in what the other dogs are doing, but she'll follow them around rather than play. She's learning what toys are, but would prefer to cuddle next to a human on the couch. She is easy going with men and kids- even strangers! She just hopes you pet her! She is so funny- she doesn't jump up on people out of excitement but occasionally she will stand on her two back legs and rest her paws and head on your shoulder like a hug to make sure you see her. She sleeps on the dog bed all night next to me and just rests when I am not home. "  Story | Parker was rescued from Texas, and can't wait to make her way to CO!  Other Dogs | Parker is GREAT with other dogs!  Cats | Parker is great with kitties!! Children | Parker likes kiddos and would love to have her own!  Training | Parker is house trained and well-mannered! She takes treats nicely and she knows the basics very well!  Leash | Walks nicely on leash. General Notes | Sweet silky Mama Belle is the best of the best. This gal and her four puppies are making a splash in Colorado after coming from Arkansas. Belle is absolutely lovely and can't wait to become a family mountain dog!  Meet Belle, a gentle lab mix who's ready to steal your heart! This adorable girl may be on the smaller side for a lab, but what she lacks in size, she more than makes up for in sweetness. Though she’s still finding her confidence, Belle is blossoming every day and coming out of her shell. She’s a gentle soul with a heart full of love to give, and with a little time, she’ll be your loyal companion. If you're looking for a gentle, devoted dog to share your life with, Belle could be the perfect fit.  Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Personality | Belle has been a great mama to her babies. This gem of a pup is quiet, calm, and house trained. Story | Hi, my name is Raisin... though, believe me, I'm nothing like a dried-up grape!  My foster mommy just calls me Little Sweetheart, Precious Baby and good, GOOD Boy!  I'm trying to be the best pup, so that I can find my forever home... maybe with you?  I'm about 4 months old... but don't get me wrong, I'm very mature and smart for my age.  I still have all my baby teeth, yet I don't chew up anything except my toys.  I have a very gentle mouth and will take a treat without destroying your fingers. I LOVE FOOD! My foster mommy has taught me "Come" and "Sit", and I'm learning new things every day.  I love my crate, eat my meals there and will sleep there all nite without a peep.  Once my crate door is opened, I will sit and wait until I get the OK to run out!  I don't pee or poop in the house, but I hope you'll give me frequent visits outdoors.  I get along great with other dogs and children of all ages... 4 to 104.  My foster brother is helping me become the best boy and showing me all kinds of awesome puppy behaviors. I'm learning to walk very well on a leash, and afterwards, I love to snuggle and get belly rubs!  I love treats, so if you're trying to teach me something new and have a piece of cheese, I'm ALL IN!  Maybe you can come visit me to see if you'd love to be my family???  I'd be forever grateful!  Thank you! Signed ~Raisin" Other Dogs | He is wonderful with dogs! Cats |  Children | His foster mom is as piano teacher....Raisin gets to hang with kids every day! Training | This is one smart puppy!
