General Notes | Just a few months ago this sweet girl was found stray, starving, scared and veeery pregnant. She was initially so scared of humans that she would run away and hide if anyone took a step in her direction and would hardly allow anyone to touch her. She was still emaciated after giving birth, with all of her calories going to nursing. Fast forward to today...She is now thriving in her foster home! She is gaining weight and has the most beautiful, shiny brindle coat. But more importantly, she has gained confidence and trust in humans. She wants to make up for all the love she didn't get her first couple years with endless snuggles now. She finally gets to learn what being a puppy is all about- she's sweet and playful with her humans- big and little and her foster dog sister. She quickly learned to use a dog door and has never had an accident inside. If you want puppy playfulness without the hassle of potty training, then this gal is for you! Please consider giving this gal the second chance at a life that she deserves! Health Notes happy and healthy Other Dogs | Yes. She would love a home with another playful dog that can show her the ropes. Cats | Unknown Children | She is absolutely wonderful with her 2 young human foster siblings (2 and 4). Training | 100% housebroken. Will use dog door or whimper at door when the dog door is closed. Making progress on commands and leash (she'll do anything for a treat!) Already has learned 'sit' and 'come'. Rarely barks, not destructive and doesn't even beg. She can jump a 4 ft fence, so may need a home with a taller fence or without unsupervised, free reign in the yard. She will nip when overexcited or anxious but we're working hard and she rarely nips anymore. When she does it's with adults amd not the kids Leash | Yes. She now does great walking on her own and we're working on walking with her foster dog sister. Activity Level | Medium-high. She's playful and loves to run around the yard doing deck dives, but settles down as the day goes on. Personality | Shy at first, but really coming out of her shell. She's so sweet and happy just to be loved Story | Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $350 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $300 for 1-6 years, $250 for dogs 7-10 years, and $100 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $400. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $500 per dog). Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page! We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.
