General Notes | Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP. Health Notes | Sammy is a healthy and happy puppy! Other Dogs | Sammy LOVES other dogs and plays, plays, plays. He would be great in any home with any pups! Cats | unknown, he's super playful so he would probably need to learn, but he should be able to get along with them. Children | Sammy can't get enough of everyone, he would be great with children!!! Training | Sammy is SMART, he knows what he wants. He was the first in his litter to try anything, always the most brave and always the explorer. He is a confident boy that will flourish with basic training (sit, stay, etc.) MHLRM will provide 2 training classes with his adoption. Leash | This boy is fine on a leash, can use basic training to heel but he's small enough so far he's not an issue on leash Activity Level | Sammy is active like any puppy. He would make a great partner for running or hiking! Personality | Confident, spunky, up for anything fun! Story | Sammy was born in our care with his other 7 siblings. His Mom was found on the streets, a lab/pyrn mix that was happy to be saved and raised her pups in our foster home until she was ready to be adopted! Sammy is the last of his littermates to be adopted, we think it is because he was the only non-fluffy pup of his litter...he's more lab/shepard and he's waiting for his forever family! Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $350 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $300 for 1-6 years, $250 for dogs 7-10 years, and $100 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $400. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $500 per dog). Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page! We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.
