General Notes | BONDED WITH MARYANNE - Searching for double the love and loyalty? Meet Ginger and MaryAnn, a delightful bonded pair of 7-year-old lab gals who are ready to enrich your Colorado home! These inseparable sweethearts share an incredible bond and promise to bring twice the wiggles, twice the snuggles, and twice the joy to their forever family. They've been together through thick and thin and are looking for a loving home where they can continue to share every adventure side-by-side. Want to adopt this dog & her bonded partner? Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Personality | Ginger is sweetness personified!  She can occasionally be a bit unsure of herself in new surroundings but she really justs wants to be loved.   Story | Ginger and MaryAnn were found on the streets of Houston.  It seems that they must have been very much loved at some point and then found themselves alone.  But not any more! Other Dogs | Ginger is quite social once she is sure of herself and surroundings.  She may need a gradual introduction with some pups. Cats |  Unknown.  She has shown a fairly strong prey drive with squirrels and rabbits. Children | Not tested but she is a love.  However, she can be shy at first and exuberant kids may scare her at first. Training | She seems to have the basics down and is very willing to learn.  She has been given free reign of the house while left alone with no trouble so far. Leash | She can pull a bit here and there and also may be stubborn at times. But overall she is fair to good. Activity Level | She has a great mix of energy at times but also is ready to nap at a moments notice. She is a fan of chasing balls and of playing with her sister.  Health Notes | Ginger is in good health and up to date on shots.  She should probably shed a few pounds but a good exercise regime will help. Thank you! |  Adoption Donations |  Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. General Notes | If you are looking for a dog that will love you endlessly and brighten your every day, Charlie is that dog. He is a gentle, easygoing dog who seems to understand how special his second chance at life is. Sweet, calm, and affectionate, he loves nothing more than being near his person, whether cuddling or simply resting close by. Charlie has a rare mix of playful energy and peaceful presence that makes every moment with him feel special. Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.  Personality | Timid at first, Charlie warms up quickly and shows his affectionate, playful side once he feels safe. He thrives on connection and loves to please. Food is his love language, making training enjoyable for him. Loyal and calm, with a spark of curiosity. He's also small for a lab at only 35 lbs and would make the perfect pal for someone looking for a smaller sized lab!  Story | Charlie’s journey began on a narrow, brush-covered peninsula along the Oso Bay in Corpus Christi, Texas where he was abandoned and alone until his finder spotted him while fishing. With patience, food, and gentle reassurance, she was able to gain his trust and bring him home with her. Charlie has repaid her ever since with devotion and love. She has loved every moment with Charlie, but with her older dogs needing most of her attention, she knows the greatest gift she can give him is a forever home where he can truly be cherished. Safe at last, Charlie is discovering the joy of trust and the comfort of home, letting his playful, loving personality shine through.  Other Dogs | Charlie has adapted beautifully to living with two older dogs. Respectful and gentle, he waits for an invitation to play, but once welcomed, he joins in enthusiastically and with great manners.  Cats | Charlie has not yet been cat-tested.  Children | Charlie has shown he’s wonderful with kids. He met his finder’s 5-year-old godson and was gentle, sweet, and calm. He would thrive in a home with kind, respectful children who would love him as much as he loves them.  Training | Young and eager, Charlie has taken to training quickly. He is potty trained and making great progress with crate training, Charlie will choose his crate for naps and will also go in willingly when it’s time to leave, especially with a treat. While he can get a little nervous when left alone, he’s improving every day and learning to feel secure. His willingness to learn and his food motivation make him an excellent student.  Leash | Charlie loves exploring the world on walks. He walks politely on leash without pulling, though he sometimes gets a little tangled as he likes to stay very close to his person. In safe off-leash areas, he does beautifully. He is always checking in and coming back reliably when called.  Activity Level | Moderate. Charlie enjoys bursts of playful puppy energy but overall is calm, easygoing, and content to relax with his people.  Health Notes |  Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. General Notes | Nothing compares to the love and devotion of a senior dog! Norbit is the best of the best - good with cats, kids, dogs, and truly couldn't be a more perfect gentleman. He lives for love, his people, and an afternoon nap! Personality | Norbit is the most laid back, loving senior pup you'll ever meet! He is well-mannered and easy going. Norbit loves all people and other dogs. Norbit has also lived with cats. He will be a great addition to any family. He can't wait to start his next chapter with you! Story | Norbit was adopted last year and lived happily with another dog and cat, but unfortunately and due to no fault of his own, Norbit is looking for a new family to love him forever. Originally Norbit was found in TX as a stray by animal control. He stayed at the shelter for 6 months. No one came to claim him or adopt 😔  Other Dogs | Norbit enjoys other dogs! He's still pretty playful for his age. He likes to play tug of war and fetch. Cats | Lived comfortably with cats. Children | Friendly! He loves everyone including young kids. Training | Norbit knows some basic commands like sit, down and come. He is well-mannered and doesn't require a lot of corrections.  Leash | Great! He is not afraid of the leash and likes to go on walks.  Activity Level | Low. Norbit enjoys a good play session with other dogs or walks around the neighborhood, but as an almost 10 year old, he loves his naps and lounging around. Norbit needs a home that does not have lots of stairs. Health Notes | Healthy! Norbit is up to date on vaccines, neutered and heartworm NEGATIVE! He takes pain medication for an old leg injury that did not heal properly. The vet did x-rays and ruled he is healthy to adopt, but recommends continue the medication for comfort.  Thank you! |  Adoption Donations |  Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age.
