General Notes | Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.     Health Notes | Healthy, with the softest fur and the most handsome face Other Dogs | Good with dogs. He isn't into roughhousing with them, but can co-exist peacefully.  Cats | Good with cats. Current foster home has a cat. He likes to sniff her and she loves to rub against him. When she needs space, Moomin gives it to her.  Children | He lived with small children at his previous home. Current foster home has kids and he is gentle with them.  Training | He is housetrained and knows sit and shake and can hold a treat on his nose.  We are still learning what other tricks he knows. He is great in the crate.  He was left out of the crate at his foster in Texas when left alone and was fine free roam.  Leash | We are working on leash training with him and he is getting better every day. He loves his walks and gets happy excited when he sees the leash. He responds well to a prong collar.  Activity Level | medium- He likes to play with toys (as in, he likes to pull all of them out of the basket) but also likes to sleep a lot. Personality | He is very sweet and loooooves people!!!   He doesn't want you to stop petting him. He is so soft you almost don't want to stop petting him either. 😊 He would love to have a home with a yard. He is not a big barker either.  Story | He was surrendered by his previous family because they have to travel a lot for work.   Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age. General Notes | Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   You’re looking at a recent GRADUATE! 🎓👏🏼 Congrats, Trudy! This beautiful (smart) girl just completed an extensive month long training program and is ready to show off her new skills with a foster or adopter 🤎 Is that you? Keep reading to find out! Trudy has just completed a month training with the Colorado Cell Dogs (CCI) a Denver based prison dog training program. CCI Program Manager and trainers cannot stop raving what a smart, trainable girl our Trudy is! With her completion, Trudy & her adopters will receive weekly 1 hour continued training for free for life and up to 2 weeks board/train every year to keep our girls skills sharp. This program is highly respected and has a waiting list, so you just skipped the line by adopting Trudy! 🙌🏼 Not only is she smart, she’s also cuddly! Trudy love snuggling and wants to find a lap to call her own 🥰 She LOVES people, including young kids! You’ll always have a shadow with Trudy around as this sweet girl wants to be right next to you at all times. She also loves to play with toys, balls and bones. Doesn't believe they belong in the toy basket! 🎾🦴 Trudy would love a backyard to play in every day. 🐶 Trudy likes other dogs and is very playful! Structured introductions to help set boundaries with is necessary when introducing any new pups. She worked hard on this at training! Trudy will most likely never be the type of dog for a dog park as she can become too overwhelmed by so many furry friends at once. Trudy is an incredibly sweet, playful and gentle independent companion. She will excel with an adopter that can give her the structure and environment she needs to be a happy pup. General Notes | Annie (Cheyenne) is a happy loving accepting sweet dog! Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Health Notes | She is gaining weight and looks great! She is beautiful with the softest ears and fur!  Other Dogs | Great with other dogs. She would love a friend to play with! She is respectful of foster dog's personality. She will play by herself by throwing her toys up and catching them or shoveling her bone around the floor.  Cats | interested in cats. Not sure yet how she will do. First foster left resident cat alone but have not had enough encounters yet to know if cat friendly. Second foster does not have cats Children | This dog is so sweet and is fine with kids. If they are at her level, she might try to lick their face!  Training |She could use some basic training but is working on "sit" and "come". She now understands "outside". She will come to me when I whistle for her. She is generally not destructive (may get interested in fluffy shoes :( ) but has not had an accident in the house and has been left for hours out of the crate. She is not showing any interest in the crate since we have been giving her free reign. For a few weeks she could/would not master the stairs, but is now a pro and will now sleep upstairs with us next to our dog.   Leash | She loves going for walks and allows us to put her gentle lead on. She may do a little whirling dirvish if she sees another dog that she wants to play with, but generally she walks fine and gentle.  Activity Level | medium. She has bursts of energy and twirls when she is happy. She is always happy to hang out and chew on an antler or look out the window at the squirells! She is just learning about toys, chase and tug-a-war. She would love a playful friend to continue teaching her about being a pet! Personality | Sweet and calm. Rarely barks. If she does, she is usually asking for something. She is very gentle. Not food aggressive and is food motivated.  She loves to get head hugs, loves being pet, and loves to give face kisses!  Story | Found as a stray with her brother in a field. She is now happy to be an inside dog with regular meals! Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Puppies to 1 year - $425, 1-6 years - $375, 7-10 years - $325, and 11+ years - $175. General Notes | Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Odin is a loving companion. He is a great snuggler and has loads of love to give his people or dog friends. He's young and has lots of energy. Odin does well on the leash and seems to be picking things up quickly with the help of treats. He's very food motivated. Health Notes | Healthy. Appears to be in great shape. Other Dogs | Loves other dogs Cats | Very curious. Barks and pulls when he has spotted our resident cats. Has not been allowed off leash around the cats. Children | Seems to love all people. Some herding behaviors with young children who run around him. Training | 90% housebroken. Goes potty immediately following meals and on walks. Does well as long as he is let out regularly but has had accidents/marked rugs. Odin does well in his crate during the day with a PB treat or chew toy. At night, he sleeps through the night on carpet or on the bed in the bedroom. Odin is working on not jumping up, chewing only on appropriate things, becoming 100% housebroken, learning commands, and not counter surfing. Leash | He is doing well on the leash. Loose leash about 80% of the time. Activity Level | Moderate. He doesn't go crazy on walks but saves some energy for when we're at home so he can snuggle and play. Would likely be a good running and hiking buddy. Personality | Odin is the sweetest. His tail is wagging most of the time and he loves to cuddle and be pet. He can't always decide which toy he wants to play with so he may play with all of them in the span of 10 minutes. On walks, he would really like walkers to pet him and dogs to play with him, but if it doesn't hapen he doesn't waste much time before moving on. General Notes | Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Health Notes | Winnie is a healthy and happy 3 month old lab mix.  Other Dogs | She holds her own while playing with the other dogs in her foster home: a 150lbs Great Dane and two 75lbs labradors! Dog friendly — confirmed!  Cats | No experience with cats yet, but foster mom thinks she would be fine, especially with a dominant cat.  Children | She’s had limited exposure to children and was slightly timid of their quick movements and loud noises, but we believe she’ll be fine with them after proper introduction. Training | Winnie loves her crate. She sleeps in it for 9 hours at night in a separate room with a night light. She’s had no accidents in the crate and is *almost* house broken. She also crates for her meals! Leash | She needs more exposure and practice. She is food motivated and will be easy to train! Activity Level | Typical puppy. She likes to run and play, but also happy chilling by herself and chewing a bone. She’ll even come up on the couch and snuggle you! Personality | She has the sweetest face and personality to match. Foster mom says Winnie is very sweet and sometimes submissive, but has no fear! Winnie is a pretty perfect puppy and any adopter will be lucky to call her their own. Story | Winnie was found as a stray with her two siblings in rural Texas.  Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Puppies to 1 year - $425, 1-6 years - $375, 7-10 years - $325, and 11+ years - $175. General Notes | Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Health Notes | Healthy, no known conditions, vet checked.  Vet believes him to be approx. 2-3 years old, because of body growth and how laid back and calm he is.  His teeth indicate younger, as they are super white and clean.   Other Dogs | Gets along wonderfully with the two female dogs in his home. He was nervous at first but warmed up after a couple of days.  He doesn't appear to know how to play with other dogs, but loves following them around and just hanging out.  Laying on the floor with antlers or bones to chew on seems to be the way he bonds with his foster family dogs. Cats | Very good with cats - no aggression. Children | The foster home does not have children but he is very friendly towards humans. Gentle and calm, takes treats very gently. Training | Housetrained, great on a leash (no pulling/loose leash) , does not get on furniture, knows "sit" Leash | Walks very well on a leash by your side, does not pull at all.   Activity Level | He is more laid back than your average lab (not a bad thing!) Sleeps a LOT, doesn't get in a hurry much.  He would be ideal in any home, but would make a great companion for someone who was unable to be very active.   Personality | Calm, mellow, gentle giant.  Loves to sleep on his dog bed and loves to lay outside watching the sights, especially in the evenings before bed.  He does not get on furniture at all.   The only time Buddy gets really excited is when he sees buzzards flying overhead, other than that, he doesn't run around much or get too excited.  Not sure if Buddy ever had toys in the past, he seemed unsure what to do with them, but he now seems to like to move them around the house.  He has never had an accident in his foster's home, sleeps through the night on his dog bed, and has never chewed on anything other than a toy or bone.  Buddy loves loves loves people and enjoys hugs or scratches.  If you are sitting on the floor with him, he will lean his head into your shoulder as if to hug you and snuggle.  He does enjoy his space, though, and will not lay on you or overwhelm you.  When he naps he always goes to his bed. Story | Buddy was found running up to cars on a rural road near cattle pasture and adjacent wooded property.  He was fully house trained, though, and already very well behaved.   Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Puppies to 1 year - $425, 1-6 years - $375, 7-10 years - $325, and 11+ years - $175. General Notes |Such a sweet girl! She is full of love, with the right amount of spunk and sass. She loves to be around other dogs and her people. She will sleep through the night in her crate. She hasn't had any accidents in the house and goes to the door when she needs to go potty. She is currently teething, and sometimes on human hands. She's a curious little thing and likes to taste test everything, so needs to be watched when out exploring. She's super smart, so training would do great things for this girl. She's independent but wants to know where her people or fur friends are at all times. She loves to sit in the yard and watch the world around her.   Health Notes | Healthy & happy puppy Other Dogs | Loves other dogs and wants to befriend them all. Loves to follow them around and is always up for a game of tug-o-war, chase, stealing the ball, or laying next to other dogs for a cuddle. Would do great in a home with another dog companion. She plays a bit rough with her foster Yorkie, so a dog who is closer to her size, and ready to play would be best. She may do best in a home with a dog that is a bit more submissive as she can be a bit bossy Cats | She would love to befriend the cats, but they aren't so into her puppy energy Children | Loves her foster teens... Training | This little one is super smart and eager to learn. She is food motivated, so she quickly learned to sit and lay down for treats. Leash |  Does well on a leash with a harness, she is not fond of a collar. Zig zags a bit on walks. Activity Level | Puppy Energy, always ready to play, but calms down after playing and walks and will relax next to you on the couch. Personality | This little one is going to make for a wonderful companion. A very sweet, curious, loving, outgoing girl, who loves people, dogs, food, and her belly rubs.  Story | She recently came to Colorado from Texas with her mama and adorable siblings. Since in Colorado, she's been loved, snuggled, played with, and shown how happy life can be for her.   Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age.
