General Notes | Loves kids, Loves Dogs, Loves to play and is soooo sweet!!  Come meet Aspen!  Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Health Notes | Healthy Other Dogs | She loves other dogs!! She is in a home with 2 dogs and loves to play!!   Her foster mom feels she would do best in a home with another dog to help get her energy out. Cats - Aspen is very curious about our cat! She wants to sniff her, get close to her, and of course she wants to play with her! However, our cat is not thrilled with the idea!  Children | Aspen loves kids, and wants to play with them. She snuggles in with my boys, and jumps on their beds at night time! She is learning to play ball with them and loves just being apart of whatever they are doing. Since Aspen is learning social skills, I would say she would be happiest with at least elementary school age kids and up. She will teach the kids to put things away, as she likes to grab shoes and stuffed animals and hide them in the backyard!! Training | She is house trained and is learning social skills. She has learned to use the doggie door and has had zero issues! She is learning to sit for a treat, and also feeding time. Leash |  Activity Level | Aspen loves to play, and is eager to please everyone. I honestly think she needs to be in a home with another dog her size. She and our lab Calvin play non stop. She will love to be out on hikes, and camp, and is full of energy. If home alone all day, she will get into mischief. Personality | Aspen is a sweet, sweet, loving girl. She fits in with us perfectly. She aims to please. She wants a lot of love, snuggles, and to be apart of the family. She loves to play and play! The best part is watching her in the morning. She goes into the backyard and waits for the squirrels to come out, and tease them. She sits, frozen and waits and waits! Then it's game on and a mad dash around the yard, to see the squirrels laughing at her and Calvin. The best part of Aspen and the first time I have ever seen this, was she was playing chase Calvin and jumped up onto our trampoline, ran around the outside of it, went into the trampoline, bounced, jumped out and ran around the outside of it. Then jumped off like nothing! She is a smart, smart, girl ready to tackle the world! Story | I do not have any history on Aspen. All I know, is she was in a shelter in Texas before arriving to Colorado. She appears to have had a litter. Aspen was extremely skinny ( skin and bones) when she arrived here and we have been feeding her 3 times a day. She is doing great with feeding, and drinking water. Lots of water!  Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age. General Notes:   Introducing Danny DeVito!! Like the famous actor is known to be, this Danny DeVito is incredibly kind, hilarious, not that tall, everyone wants to be around him and he's going to be a huge success!! I don't know how the actor is in a car, but this Danny DeVito is a dream!! He was very nervous when I met him at the plane and he'd gotten sick while he flew, but once we got into the car and got him buckled in, he fell asleep.  Danny DeVito was nervous when we went into our pet food store, but once he tasted the PC's Pantry treats, he was a happy guy. I got him a mountain collar since he's a Colorado guy now. He's not sure he loves wearing it, but that's just because he can't see how handsome he looks in it. He's doing great with Olive and the other dogs he's met. He loves people and seems to be potty trained. He found the toy bin, so he snuck a few toys outside until he realized they were all for him!! Now he is happily pulling every toy out and running around with them. He's chewing on toys as I write this. He has been going to daycare and everyone loves him - people and dogs!  As a matter of fact everyone who meets him in general, loves him!!    He is 4 months old, and he just couldn't be any sweeter and cuter. Health Notes |  Other Dogs | Great Cats | Not known Children | I do not know personally, but he's very sweet with everyone, so I'm guessing he'd be fine. Training | Potty trained, crate traine Leash |  Activity Level | Medium high Personality | So sweet Story |  Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age. General Notes  Bingo is as perfect as you can get for a one year old lab. Fully potty trained, knows sit, shake, stay - will need some work on lay. He sits and waits patiently for his food, sleeps through the night in his crate, he'll even put himself to bed. He plays well with the neighbor dogs and hasn't met a human he wasn't immediately in love with. He thinks he's a lap dog, so have to work on down/off. General Notes | This Buddy is such an angel and a lover!  He is really a sweet puppy!  Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Health Notes | Healthy pup! Other Dogs | Great with other dogs! He likes to play with his 2 year old foster sister - they play chase and tug all the time. He is also very nice with sharing toys. Cats | He was curious with our cat but did not chase her when she was finished meeting him. Children | Great with kids! Training | Buddy is very eager to please and food motivated.   This will make he fun to train!!  He is already learning how to sit and come and doing a great job!  He learned to sit by the back door for the bathroom but at such a young age, we did have one accident! He knows what potty means. He listens very well with a stern voice and command (if he picks up a sock or something) and didn't chew on anything other than toys.   He is learning to sit and wait for his food (see picture).   This is hard for a puppy who loves his food! He is crate trained - he sleeps through the night in it.  He also goes in and out it while it is open during the day. Leash | He has no issue walking on a leash!   Activity Level | medium, actually pretty calm for a puppy  Personality | Buddy is such an angel and a lover! He loves to snuggle up on the couch and get belly rubs. He loves humans and will follow you around or stay close to whatever human is near. He likes to play but tires out pretty quickly and loves a good nap. For a big puppy, he loves to be held like a baby. He's the cutest and anyone who adopts this sweet boy will fall right in love! General Notes | Hello! I am Benny and landed in Colorado a few weeks ago. I am still learning to dog with my foster sibling. I haven't had any accidents in the house and I'm learning how to play with toys, my foster dog sibling, and slowly but surely see that I can relax now. I am warming up to the idea that humans aren't too bad. I like to be nearby to study them as I build trust (and in case they drop some yummy treats for me)! I am still nervous since everything in this foster life is so new but really love learning and just need patience, time, and a safe space to really show how awesome I am! Want to adopt me and be forever friends? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Health Notes | No health concerns. Other Dogs | Learning from other dogs, loves them and follows them for guidance. Picks up their habits and behaviors very quickly! Cats | All are friends! Children | Gentle and cautious. Fast movements and loud noises are scary right now, but he is happy to find a safe space to watch children from! Training | Loves treats which makes training easy!  Leash |  Gaining confidence and getting better every day. Activity Level | Medium. Likes to play with toys and other dogs then nap nearby. Personality | Not a mean bone in his body. He is still taking his new surroundings in and will take time and patience to fully allow his sweet personality to shine! Story | Benny came from a high-kill shelter in New Mexico. He's excited to start his brand new life here in Colorado! Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age.   General Notes | Not just a beauty, Agnes is 100% a good girl too! This pup is fantastic Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Health Notes | Good health Other Dogs | She is greeat with my cranky old lab.  Will play when Mags is in the mood but knows when to quit and leave her alone.  She seems friendly with dogs that walk by Cats | Unknown Children | Unknown but think she'd be great with kids.  She loves people. Training | Totally kennel trained.  Sleeps all night in her kennel and goes in during the day with a couple of Kong treats and is fine.  She knows sit and is learning down and stay.  I love that she doesn't charge the door when it's open....she waits.  Someone left the gate open the other day and she came right back when I called her.   If I tell her NO,  she stops doing whatever and readjusts.  Totally potty trained and the other day I forgot to open the dog door and she needed out and she rang the jingle bells I have on the door to get my attention.......I've never trained her with that.  What a smart girl.  She loves treats so her training should continue and she'll do great. Leash | We are working on leash.  She's not bad but weaves a bit. Activity Level | She is an active pup and loves her yard but settles down and can chill with her toys when I watch TV. Personality | Agnes is a happy pup that loves exploring.  She would make a great walk, run, camping, hiking buddy......she's up for anything  She checks out every square inch in the yard and sometimes runs around the yard with her nose in the air.  She loves people but is fairly independent too.  She so loves people....just wants to be close.  Agnes is becoming more independent evey day and entertains herself with her stuffies and toys.  She is just a great labbie pup. Story | She was picked up in Arkansas and taken to a kill shelter.  She was due to be euthanized and a lady went and picked her up and fostered.  She then contacted Mile High and she was transported to Colorado.  She is such a beauty.    Thank you! | Thank you for checking out Agnes.  I believe she's going to grow into a wonderful dog.  She has webbed feet and such a labbie look.  Also, a beautiful coat and coloring. Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $475. Lucy and her foster dog play all day together. Once the older one tires out, Lucy is content playing with toys or chasing balls. She would be great in a home with or without dogs. Cats | No cats at foster but very good temperament. Don't think there would be an issue. Children | No kids at foster but same as above. Has met children out and about and has done very well. Training | Jumps when excited. Working on adjusting that and puppy biting. Crate training going well. Goes in easily and doesn't make a peep throughout the night. Will go in on her own during the day with a toy. She has figured out the doggy door and uses it to go potty. Knows she needs to go outside. Prior to figuring out the doggy door, she would go to the door to signal she needed to go. Leash | Mostly good. Still a little excited and jumpy at times on a walk.  Activity Level | Puppy energy. Loves playing, running after toys or dog. She then cuddle ups right next to you. Personality | Lucy loves people! She wants to be so close to you! Very sweet and cuddly. General Notes | Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Health Notes | Baby appears very healthy Other Dogs | She is great around other dogs.  When playing hard she can be very vocal, but she is not aggressive.  But some dogs could be intimidated. Cats | Not sure, but I think she would be fine with a good introduction. Children | Not sure, but I think she would love kids.  She can jump a little bit, but just needs a little training for that. Training | Baby can sit and lay down.  She comes when she is called unless she is on a strong scent outside.  She really needs very little training,  BIggest training issue is she jumps on new people sometimes.   Leash | She does very good on leash and is eager for walks. Activity Level | Baby is fairly mellow, but she has plenty of spunk and energy as well.  She is so happy to lay on the couch with the family and is a snuggler. She is more of a chaser than a fetcher, but she enjoys it greatly.  She will tear up softer toys, so we have removed a few toys from the bin on her account.   Personality | Baby is so sweet!  She is good natured and confident, and ready to please.  Loves to be nearby people.  She is very gentle with treats.  I honestly can't imagine how a dog this great ends up in a shelter.  She is special! Other Dogs | Chrissy does well with other specific dogs - AFTER a slow introduction! She prefers a med - large size dog, laid back, dorky and playful to hang out with. She is unsure when dogs run up to her, but does great with friendly dogs who are not alpha or aggressive.  Cats | She has not been around cats.   Children | Chrissy is gentle and sweet around children. She has been in foster homes with young and older kids without any issues! 💜  Training | She knows a few commands like sit and come and is working on learning more! She does not need to be crated when left home alone.  Leash | She enjoys walks and sniffing around the neighborhood. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $475. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog). Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only.  To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page! We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.  Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.  show less
