General Notes | Dolly is smart, curious, and quietly brave. She’s not just looking for a home—she’s looking for a place where she can finally exhale. If you have a gentle heart and a quiet space for a puppy who’s learning to believe in the good again, Dolly may be the one who’s been waiting for you all along. 🤍 Apply to adopt Dolly today, and give this precious girl the safe, loving future she so deserves. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP. Personality | Dolly is: ✅ Fully vaccinated ✅ Great with other dogs ✅ Friendly with cats ✅ Eager to please and eager to learn ✅ Exceptionally loving once she feels safe She adores snuggling and will give sweet, grateful kisses once she feels secure. She’s still learning to feel comfortable outside—having only known the outdoors as a place of fear and survival—but with time, patience, and someone by her side, we know she will blossom. Story | At just four months old, Dolly was abandoned at a gas station in Conroe, Texas—left to survive on her own, scared and unsure of who or what to trust. She’s been let down by people and picked on by other dogs. She carries a few small marks on her body from that experience, but far more telling is the quiet resilience in her eyes. And, despite everything, Dolly’s heart remains open. A compassionate good Samaritan saw her and offered what she’d never known before—a warm bath, a full meal, and a safe place to rest. That act of kindness reminded Dolly that there are still gentle, patient people in this world. We were contacted to help, and now Dolly is searching for a forever home where she can truly begin to heal. Other Dogs | When indoors where she feels safe, Dolly loves the company of other dogs! The sound of dogs barking outside is a bit scary for her right now, although her bravery is growing by the day. Cats | Friendly Children | Dolly has not been around any children that we know of Training | Work in progress! Leash | The concept of a leash is very new to Dolly. She will need patience and constant reassurance that she is safe and protected when leashed outdoors for a walk - although as she is so young and willing to trust we have no doubt she will be a pro at walking next to her humans quickly! Activity Level | Moderate. Dolly is still a puppy and will likely be a big fan of play and toys once she's able to decompress and learn that her only responsibility now is to be a dog. Health Notes | Dolly is healthy and up to date on her vaccines! Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog). Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page! We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for one year from the date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.
