General Notes | Copper is the cutest little low-rider puppy who's excited to find his perfect family in Colorado! He'd be perfect for someone looking for a smaller breed puppy as he looks just like his mama who was a small low-rider gal! Copper just recently was brought into a foster home in Texas before traveling to Colorado and it took him a few days to learn that humans are kind and trustworthy. Currently in his Colorado foster home, in only a day he is following around his foster mom and seeking pets and praise! If you're looking for a devoted friend whose heart is bigger than his little legs, Copper can't wait to meet you. Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Personality | Sweet and playful! He gets scared if people come at him too quickly and would prefer to come sit in your lap versus you trying to pick him up. He loves to play with his squeaky toys and throw them around and chase them. He also loves to run around in the backyard❤️ Story | He came from an oops litter in Houston, TX. His mama is a cute low-rider and dad appears to be a purebred, yellow lab. He spent his first 2 months living outside with his siblings and is now learning all about being loved on as an inside dog!  Other Dogs | Great with other dogs! Currently living with a 5yr old lab and Copper tries to get her to play with him but she has zero interest in silly little puppies.  Cats | He is young enough to adapt well living with kitties!  Children | Copper is currently being fostered with a 6 and 8 year old and he is very sweet with them and very gentle. He doesn't nip at the kids or try to steal their stuffies or their food.  Training | He has already learned so much! He sleeps all night a crate, like 9 hours!, without a peep! He can already walk on a leash with a harness. He takes treats very gently. He is doing great with potty training! If the backdoor is open, he takes himself right outside to do his business and then comes back in. He just needs to figureout how to tell us that he needs to go outside because we don't have a dog door and it's getting too cold to leave the back door open Leash | Copper is great on a leash! He needs more exposure, as he can get spooked by unexpected people or dogs on a walk but he's still a puppy and will be a great leash walker in no time!  Activity Level | Copper is actually pretty mellow for a puppy. He gets the zoomies in the morning and wants you to throw toys for him to chase, but then he's pretty chill for the rest of the day.  Health Notes | Copper is a healthy puppy! He still will need two more rounds of puppy vaccines, but he is a great eater, and appropriate weight for his size and age.  Thank you! |    Adoption Donations |  Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. General Notes | Ditto here: I'm a half Lab, half Boxer who has come all the way from Arkansas to Colorado. I am so happy to be here sporting my new Colorado collar and my snazzy winter scarf. I am super, super sweet and affectionate. I love: my foster people and following them around; hugs and pets; and resting on a bed near my new family or in the sunny spots around the house. I am also a champion canine wrestler and have been wrestling above my weight class of 45 pounds (the perfect size) and simply crushing it! When I wrestle and play with toys I make the best little grumbling noises. One of the resident canines makes A LOT of noise when people walk by the house but I don't chime in and I believe the squirrels have a right to be in the tree so I don't bark at them either. I like my crate and snooze through the night. As you can see from my photo, I am very handsome and have an awesome white stripe on my chest (with black polka dots peaking through) and some white flecks throughout my oh-so-soft coat. My coat is so amazing that I keep it on my body rather than spread it around the house. I also have the most beautiful brown eyes (each a slightly different shade) and my foster mom says I can see right into her soul. I have a crooked tail from a break that was never fixed from my pre-CO days but it doesn't bother me now and it is a testament to my resilience. When I first got here I wouldn't go down the stairs and wouldn't walk more than a block. In just a few weeks I'm launching myself down the stairs like they are part of an agility course and am up for a several mile walk. I'm very smart and learning "come, "sit," "leave-it" and "off" from my foster parents and "leave me alone" from one of the resident canines. I'm over-coming my fear of noises and can be in the kitchen when the blender is going, walk alongside a fence with a barking dog on the other side, and walk along busy streets. I'm ready to be your perfect match and with some patience and love I know I will thrive and will give my forever people so much love and affection. My sister got adopted quickly and now it's my turn. Please swipe right on my picture even though I may look a bit more like a boxer than a lab - I promise you will not be sorry.  Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Personality |  Ditto is a very sweet and loving boy without an aggressive bone in his body.  He is a little shy and cautious at first but is coming out of his shell with more exposure to people he meets on walks and at the pet store. He warmed up after just one day to the resident college kid when he came home for Thanksgiving. Ditto is a great dog who loves playing with other dogs but now that he has toys to play with he's learning to have fun on his own. Story | He was in an Arkansas foster home with his sister.  We don't know his story before that. Other Dogs | Good with other dogs, wants to play with them and made a new doggie friend last week  - they had a blast. He's not reactive towards other dogs that approach on walks but is cautious about them.    Cats | He met a kitty at his foster home in Arkansas and seemed curious, but polite!  Children | Respectful older age children should be fine. We haven't tested him with younger foster children (foster home has older adolescents). Training | Still learning the basics but Ditto is smart, wants to make his people proud, and responsive to patience, consistency and positive reinforcement. He's already picked up leave it, off and sit.  He's housebroken. Leash | In just 3 weeks he has gained so much confidence and walks have gone from 1 block to 2 miles. Walking alongside another doggie has helped him but isn't necessary now.   Activity Level | Ditto is moderate energy. He is playful and active with other pups and is learning to play on his own with kongs, rope toys and balls. When not playing he loves to rest in the sun or on a comfy bed near his people. Health Notes | Up to date on vaccinations, Ditto is neutered and heathy! Thank you!  Adoption Donations |  Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. General Notes | Dolly is smart, curious, and quietly brave. She’s not just looking for a home—she’s looking for a place where she can finally exhale. If you have a gentle heart and a quiet space for a puppy who’s learning to believe in the good again, Dolly may be the one who’s been waiting for you all along. 🤍 Apply to adopt Dolly today, and give this precious girl the safe, loving future she so deserves. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Personality | Dolly is: ✅ Fully vaccinated ✅ Great with other dogs ✅ Friendly with cats ✅ Eager to please and eager to learn ✅ Exceptionally loving once she feels safe She adores snuggling and will give sweet, grateful kisses once she feels secure. She’s still learning to feel comfortable outside—having only known the outdoors as a place of fear and survival—but with time, patience, and someone by her side, we know she will blossom. Story | At just four months old, Dolly was abandoned at a gas station in Conroe, Texas—left to survive on her own, scared and unsure of who or what to trust. She’s been let down by people and picked on by other dogs. She carries a few small marks on her body from that experience, but far more telling is the quiet resilience in her eyes. And, despite everything, Dolly’s heart remains open. A compassionate good Samaritan saw her and offered what she’d never known before—a warm bath, a full meal, and a safe place to rest. That act of kindness reminded Dolly that there are still gentle, patient people in this world. We were contacted to help, and now Dolly is searching for a forever home where she can truly begin to heal. Other Dogs | When indoors where she feels safe, Dolly loves the company of other dogs! The sound of dogs barking outside is a bit scary for her right now, although her bravery is growing by the day. Cats | Friendly Children | Dolly has not been around any children that we know of Training | Work in progress! Leash | The concept of a leash is very new to Dolly. She will need patience and constant reassurance that she is safe and protected when leashed outdoors for a walk - although as she is so young and willing to trust we have no doubt she will be a pro at walking next to her humans quickly! Activity Level | Moderate. Dolly is still a puppy and will likely be a big fan of play and toys once she's able to decompress and learn that her only responsibility now is to be a dog. Health Notes | Dolly is healthy and up to date on her vaccines! Thank you! |  Adoption Donations |  Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. General Notes | Meet Buddy/Muddy! The cutest little guy who has a boundless spirit and believes every day is like Christmas morning! He's a master of smiling, and his favorite food groups are hugs and belly rubs. This sweet boy is a little bit of a human-raised-by-elves, ready to sing his way into your heart and fill your home with his unwavering love and cheer. Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.  Personality | Sweet, playful, snuggly, happy! Muddy currently resides with a big lab foster brother, and two little dog foster siblings. He's great with dogs of all sizes, and is learning to follow their lead and their cues. He does well in playing, with nap time, and even during independent time in the crate. He truly is the whole package!  Story | Muddy was brought into care as a stray pup at a large high-EU shelter in TX. Thankfully, a partner rescue stepped up and he was placed in foster! Now this sweet boy has made the leap to Colorado and is thriving as he settles in! Dogs | He is exceptional with dogs of all sizes. He’s playful but respectful, and when his foster siblings set boundaries, he's a pro at reading the room and rolling over or walking away. He loves to snuggle and follows his furry friends everywhere.  Cats | His foster home in TX had a kitty who tried to terrorize and slap him around but he still tried to play with her! Muddy is kitty tested and kitty approved!  Children | Would love kiddos who will play, snuggle, and give ALL the kisses! Muddy loves little humans of all ages and sizes! He would be awesome with kiddos of all ages as long as they are gentle and kind. He will need continuous training as he grows so he knows who and who not to flop and lay on top of, and to make sure he gets over his puppy shark phase! Training | In progress but he is kennel trained and sleeps in it at night. He's working on potty training, basic commands, and is super smart and motivated! Leash | Learning day by day! Muddy thinks its WAY cooler to tug on the leash than walk currently. ; ) Activity Level | Moderate. Typical puppy who loves to nap, play, repeat!  Health Notes | Healthy and happy!
