He plays in the yard with the other dog throughout the day. He also naps a lot. Personality | Very friendly and super loving. Just wants to be part of the pack. He'll bark at strangers, appropriately, but warms up once introduced. We have lots of people in/out of the home and he's good. He likes to be around people, would do best with another dog. Currently with adult who works from home and he has a lot of interaction with people. He wouldn't do well if he was left alone for long days and as an only dog. He's still a puppy, and a lab, so he will get into anything edible left out. He has a very large nice crate that would go with him for crating if gone for shorter periods of time, as needed. Access to yard is essential. He likes to sleep on the bed with his human but can sleep on his dog bed.  Story |  Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $475. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog). Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only.  To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. General Notes | Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Health Notes | Winnie has her shots and has been spayed. Winnie has big paws so I am guessing once she fills out she is gonna be big girl!  Other Dogs | Loves to play and gets along great with other medium to large dogs.  Cats | Winnie should not be in a home with cats   Children | She loves children and honestly people in general but is still very much a puppy! Winnie would love to be part of any family. We are working her on "off" when she tries to jump up and she has learned very quickly. She would do best in a home with confident children that have experience with puppy behavior. She did well with her foster human siblings are 11 and 13.   Training | Since Winnie is still a puppy we are working on training. She is very food motivated to train and is currently working on sit, down, off, heel walking with leash. Does well in crate for overnight sleep (8 hours) early riser to potty.  Working on potty training,  Leash | She is GREAT on the leash for her age! She may trip you as she zig zags but she does not pull at all. She is better than her 10 year old foster sister!  Activity Level | She has puppy energy and we are working with her to learn to settle. Definitely not overly hyper and loves to play with toys. She is all lab! Winnie loves to play fetch and carry her "babies" around in her mouth. If I had to guess I would bet she loves water too!  Personality | Winnie is super dooper sweet! She definitely would make a wonderful addition to any family. She adores people and loves to be around them especially when she getting her head rubbed! We are shocked at how quiet she is; she is not a huge barker. Winnie also loves to watch TV. She is adapting well to a life inside! Story | Winnie was a breeder pup that is loving her new life! Photos don't do her justice she is a beautiful full bred lab!  Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Puppies to 1 year - $425, 1-6 years - $375, 7-10 years - $325, and 11+ years - $175. Purebreds are $475 regardless of age. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $600 per dog). General Notes | If the word Goofy had a face, it would be this guy, meet Sloane!  Derpy Dude with a permanent smile, even sleeps with his tongue out.  Can't get any cuter!   Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.     Health Notes | Happy & Healthy! Other Dogs | Sloane loves a furry partner in crime & even won over the grumpiest foster family dog!  Now that was a win!  Seems eager to play and gets the zoomies when play begins.  Super friendly with other dogs.  The ice queen foster that growls at all other dogs has actually played with this guy!!  Tells you everything you need to know! Cats | So far so good.  Seems curious but stands back several feet and just watches.  The foster's cat was drinking water and he laid 4 feet back until she was done before getting his own drink.  What a gentleman! Children |  Training | Potty trained!   Sleeps through the night without needing to go out!  He seems to know the word "no".  Does NOT know his name.  Foster has trained him very quickly on the dog door, took about 24 hrs for complete comfort with it.  Other commands have never been established, however "sit" is there with a treat in your hand, so it will only take a little more work.  He seems very treat motivated, so training should be fairly quick and easy.  He is free roam in the house at night and during the day when you are away.   Leash | Great on a leash and loves going on walks!! Activity Level | Tends to be at whatever level you want him to be.  He will chill and sleep in the house, he will be eager for walks as well.  The Texas heat (already 90 in April) seems to zap him some.  Foster notices he really enjoys having antlers around to chew on during down time. Personality | Sloane is one laid back easy going dude! He relaxes and sleeps, but he's eager to join on walks and chores.  He is a SHADOW, and will move with you from room to room.  (Could be all of the new places for now)  He is so happy and goofy!  Sleeps with his tongue out, which is adorable!  He will get the zoomies outside in the yard with the urge strikes.  Loves chasing squirrels.  Quirky trait:  He prefers to lay down when he eats. Story |  Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age. General Notes | Sam is a puppy's puppy - he plays hard, sleeps hard, and loves a good snuggle. This precocious baby is extremely food motivated, which has made potty training and crate training a breeze! When he's not busy snuggling his humans, Sam lives by the motto "ball is life," and wants nothing more than to spend his time chasing a ball (or a rock or really anything round that he can get to roll). With a little practice, he'll be a master fetcher in no time! Despite his puppy energy, Sam is sweet and gentle and has been extra patient with his kitty foster siblings.   Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.   Health Notes |  Other Dogs |  Cats |  Children |  Training |  Leash |  Activity Level |  Personality |  Story |  Thank you! |  Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age.
