Stormy is a two year old Belgian Malinois. She is extremely intelligent and very affectionate, but needs time to warm up to people. We think she did not have a lot of socialization prior to coming to us, so she is still learning to channel her anxiety and that the world can be a fun, safe place. Please note: We are a small rescue and do not have the resources to respond to inquiries. If a dog is on our website, it is still available. We can not arrange meet & greet without an application. Adoption fees: $450 for dogs 0 to 2 yrs, $400 for dogs 2 yrs, $350 for dogs 3 to 5 yrs, and $300 for 6 yrs and older. Are you looking for a sweet, intelligent, goofy, and extremely energetic dog companion? WELL THEN LOOK NO FURTHER!! Stormy the Belgian Malinois is all that and a bag of chips! She is a sweet, sassy girl that loves to play with other dogs (mostly male, but can get along with submissive females). She’s two years young and bursting with spunky energy. But wait, there’s more!! Aside from being unbelievably smart and eager to please, Stormy is very agile and can run, jump, and balance with the best of them! When Stormy isn’t zooming around showing off her fantastic skills or playing tug-o-war, she wants to be next to her human and is a very enthusiastic snuggler (she may think she’s a lapdog). Stormy would love to show off her stupendous talents to a home with working dog experience and with no small children or small animals because she has a lot of prey drive (never worry about rodents bothering your yard again!) We are accepting foster and foster-to-adopt applications for this girl as well (not because she’s a problem, because she’s bonding so much with her foster family we want to move her now to make process easier for her when she is adopted )!! She can’t WAIT to meet you! Stormy is about two years old and fully vetted. Stormy needs an experienced adopter that is familiar with her breed and committed to continuing her training and socialization, as well as giving her plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Consistency with her training will be extremely important for her to help build her confidence and security.
