Mr Grizzly! Grizzly is approximately 3 months old. He is super sweet and super smart! Grizzly knows sit and he knows to waits for his treats. Grizzly sleeps nicely in his crate and first thing in the morning he knows to heads outside to go potty. Grizzly is amazing about knowing when and where to go potty. Grizzly has a lovely disposition, he is independent, fun, but he is still very much a baby. He really loves his cuddles. He will curl up in a ball and fall sleep on your lap. Grizzly is great with the resident dogs and the multiple fosters. He is good on and off leash. show less

Trixie is smart and very affectionate girl. She’s mastered “sit,” responds to “crate,” and has a solid recall — all with minimal effort from her foster parents. She also sleeps quiety in her crate throughout the night and is nearly potty trained. As for her breed? Let’s just say it’s 100% Certified Cute with a strong mix of Smart Cookie. Trixie is social butterfly. She loves her people, adores snuggling (especially for naps), and gets along well with dogs of all sizes and ages — from a pushy pup playmate to a chill senior companion. Meet Prince Harry of the Royals Litter! Harry is the smaller of the two boys born in this litter , but do not be fooled by his small stature. Harry is rambunctious and active. He loves to play with his toys and be right in the middle of all the puppy shenanigans. Harry is as sweet and cuddly as they come! Harry came to CalPaws at just days old and was born in mid March 2025. He was bottle raised by his fosters and as a result is very affectionate with his fosters. Puppy: up to 1 yr $450.00 Our dogs are spayed/neutered and a registered chip. For our puppies they are up to date on vaccinations. Once adopted it is the new owner’s responsibility to continue the remaining vaccinations with a veterinarian. Say hello to Zelda! Zelda (aka Zelly Belly), is a gorgeous four year old Belgian Malinois. She is extremely loving and adores getting cuddles from her people, especially snuggling up on the couch. Zelda is extremely smart and has high food drive, but her prey drive is even higher so a home without small animals would be best for this girl. She does well with other dogs with proper slow introductions, and is currently being fostered with male and female German Shepherds as well as a Dutch Shepherd and does great with all of them. She is such a sweet social girl! Zelda is not food possessive and does not resource guard her toys from her humans which is a great treat for a Malinois in a family environment. She is being fostered in a home with a seven year old and a fourteen year old and does great with both. She has also had visits from younger children and does well, but can get overexcited and accidentally knock them down so a home with children over five would probably be best for this sweet girl. Zelda would thrive in a breed savvy home that is willing to continue her training and give her lots of love. She craves attention and thinks she is a lap dog! She would also do well in a home with a yard for her to run out her ample energy. Zelda is crate trained and walks well on a leash. She also rides well in a car. Alfie Meet our little meatball Alfie! He is a perfect mix of bully, some Pyranese, some Shepherd and a few more other breeds. Alfie is a very confident and smart boy. He is always down for a good time or a cuddle. He comes to his name and his favorite place to be is with his people. Alfie currently lives with two large male canine foster brothers, a senior feline foster brother and two of his littermates. His humans are two adults, a teen and a five year old. He adores all his canine buddies and shows the most interest in the cat. He is usually respectful and if he gets a little extra excited he corrects quickly. He adores his five year old human the most but also just loves everyone in general. Alfie would do very well in a home with another dog who is confident but patient. Living with kids is his jam and he would need a family that has the time to spend with him. Alfie definitely doesn’t prefer a lot of alone time. He will bring laughter, snuggles and joy to any home. Timber is good boy. He is new to our program and we are still getting to know if him. But what we do know is that was rescued from the euthanasia list at the Stanislaus Animal Shelter where he was a shelter favorite for his easy going temperament. They used him to test if other dogs were dog friendly because he gets along with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Timber is people friendly and gaining confidence in meeting new people. He is good with children, alarm barks appropriately, is quite in his crate throughout the evening, and is overall easy going. He will make a wonderful addition to most households. show less

Say hello to Porter. Porter is actually the dog that our volunteers trapped in Byron a couple of weeks back. He had been hiding in the orchards for almost three weeks, but would sneak into a nearby neighborhood to watch the kids play at an elementary school. Anytime someone approached, he would scamper back to the orchard. It took some teamwork, but we were able to secure him safely. Well Porter has completed his stray hold and is now in a foster home decompressing and learning the ropes! What his foster says: "Porter is a little shy with a sweetness that shines through super strong. He is settling into the house nicely. He is house trained and does like to rest from time to time in his crate. Porter walks nicely on a leash currently. He plays well with our 55 lb dog but is unsure of the energy level from the 153 lb puppy in a dog's body who lives here too. He seems to really enjoy our teenager and follows her around. He likes to play with toys and rides well in the car. He is going to be a great dog to the family who opens their home to this handsome boy." Are you ready for a new furry family member? show less

Mercy is a lovely German Shepherd Dog, and a very special soul. Mercy was rescued from the shelter after her and her litter of puppies spent 2 months there. One of her puppies became ill and her entire litter was euthanized before rescue was notified. We were able to rescue Mercy, however, before her time was up. Mercy is a little gem. She is soft tempered, rides well in the car, and sleeps quietly in her crate. She loves dogs and people, is housebroken, and is working on her basic obedience. She attends our adoption events where she is a perfectly behaved lady. She's also visited busy restaurants with loud music and been very, very good. Mercy is a loving girl who will fit into many different households. A girl this easy going is unlikely to be available for long. show less

Ava Ava is sassy but sweet and reserved. Ava is gentle and quiet but will find her voice when necessary. She loves all her canine buddies whether it’s the two large foster brothers or her two littermates. Ava definitely identifies as a big dog even though she’s the smallest of the crew. She has a confidence about her that you can sense but she doesn’t show it off. Ava is respectfully curious of her senior feline brother and will correct well if she gets too excited. She is sweet and gentle with her 5 year old human foster sister and will gladly snuggle and let her carry her around but she also stays back when her little human gets too spicy for her. Ava is smart and knows her name and loves to follow her humans around seeing what they are up to. She loves to kiss her big dog foster brothers and shake her toys around. Ava will do great in a home with older children or calm younger ones. She definitely would thrive in a home with an existing dog and cats are no issue for her. Addie Our sweet Addie girl. Addie was the slowest to warm up. We had to prove to her we were safe and in true bulky fashion, it didn’t take long. Addie has become our sweetest love. She is calm, gentle, an absolute snuggle bug and very independent. She loves her two big canine foster brothers and when she’s feeling a sassy moment, she will engage in their shenanigans. Addie has a senior feline brother and she is respectful and not too interested. She loves all her humans. Addie will gladly be carried by her 5 year old human sister or cuddle on the couch with the others. She’s the calmest of the crew and will often times go off and do her own thing. She comes to her name and is excited to see her humans every time. Addie would do great in a home with kids of all ages, cats and a doggy friend.
