Adoption fees: $450 for dogs 12 months/younger, $400 for dogs 1-2 Yrs, $350 for dogs 2-6yrs, and $300 for 6yrs and older Say hello to Strider! Strider is a one year old 88 lbs German Shepherd. He loves to snuggle and gives lots of affection to his people. He loves to play all day long with the three other German Shepherds at his foster home, and also  with the human children there. He is working on his manners with other dogs, and would probably do best in a home without another dominant male. He loves to run and play and to snuggle up next to the couch with his foster mom and dad. Strider would do well in an active home and with a handler that is familiar with working breed dogs. He isn’t food or toy possessive, but he does like to try to steal his foster dog siblings’ food if no one is watching! Strider responds very well to correction from his humans. He knows ‘come’ ‘sit’, ‘down’, and ‘leave it’. Strider is super eager to please, and adores attention and ear scratches. He is happiest when he can be with his human. He is potty trained and walks well on a leash with a prong collar, but like most working breed dogs, Strider would benefit from consistency with his boundaries and continued training. Strider’s foster mom says he is a total teddy bear and will make an amazing companion to a lucky family. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please review our adoption process and then fill out an online adoption form at https://www.calpaws.org/adopting. Willow the woodle is looking for her new family! This sweet doxi-poodle cross is just over 5 years old. Her owner has fallen on very hard times, and is heartbroken to have to rehome her. Willow is spayed, house trained, kennel trained, and is a low shedding mix. She does require professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. She is a huge fan of snacks, belly rubs, runs around the yard and does a decent job on a leash. She would thrive in a home with other polite dogs with proper introductions, but this is not a requirement, she really is a people pup. She enjoys children who are kind, and has never reacted aggressively toward any. Willow has not been heavily introduced to cats and would most likely chase them. When very excited, she will let you know by being pretty vocal and in a high pitch. To those who love her, we find this a grand compliment. Your neighbors might not be so fond, so a little fair warning to them, and perhaps apartment living would not be ideal. We suspect an adult male human might not have been very nice to Willow at some point, and she can be fairly shy with new men in her life. Don’t take it personally, she will warm up and she has never been aggressive....just nervous at first. Ps....you will want to avoid plush toys, rope toys, and sock or unmentionables with this lady, she likes to eat them whole. Willow can’t wait to meet you and shower you with all the snuggles and kisses you can handle! For a video of Willow, click here. Zoey 5 years old. Fully vetted..  Hi my name is Zoey, my Foster family calls me ZoeBug. I'm looking for my forever home. I'm a precious Pittie that just wants to be loved and be with her forever famoly. Once I was slowly introduce to my Foster Brother and Sisters I fell in love with them and I love being part of a family. I love to cuddle, but also conntent on chilling on a couch on my own. I will let you know when i have to go potty with a small quite wine/whimper. I am adjusting well to a crate. When my Foster parents leave for awhile  of course a treat to get me in helps.  I am also fine to be left in the house without being crated, however I am a bit of a counter surfer. Once I am told no/down I do. I love to give kisses and will put my face into yours for kisses and snuggles. My Foster Mom can go on for days about me, she fell in love with me on day one. She says I am precious. And its the truth, after all she is the one that wrote this.   if you are interested in adopting this dog, please review our adoption process and then fill out an online adoption form at https://www.calpaws.org/adopting.
