Meet Carson! This is the definition of happiness! Seeing 7 puppies on their way to becoming healthy. It has been eleven days since the first break out of parvo. This little boy is the largest of the white puppies, but one of the most shy of the dogs. He watches from a far but does warm up and wants to be a part of the party. Carson likes to use his paw to tell you he wants more scratches and he will move closer to be a part of the action. I came to my foster as a completely blank slate but have made great strides learning the basics. As a newbie to rules and limitations, kindness and calm consistency works best for me. I get along with other dogs… I am very curious about kids… And knock it out of the park on walks with my endless puppy energy. Wilson is a ten week old Shepherd and Husky mix, otherwise known as a shepsky.Wilson was found along with his siblings in an open field in San Joaquin County. It appears the four puppies were left to fend for themselves. Wilson has not been exposed to much in his short life. We are hoping for Wilson to be in a home with another dog as our rescue believes in socializing all of our the dogs in the program. Wilson is learning to be house trained, crate trained and he has received the first series of his vaccinations, as well as dewormer and he is chipped. Odin, a 9 month old GSD mix. Odin came from the San Francisco shelter. This sweet, energetic boy has lived most of his life in the shelter. Odin is fully vaccinated and neutered. She is the medium pup and she is the most affectionate of all the puppies. She is still when you pick her up and enjoys her cuddles. Maisy is a survivor and she has some energy now she is feeling better. She is doing really well with house training. She is great with kids, other dogs and even cats. Rue is our female, 7 month old Belgian Malinois. Her story was that she found wondering around a Walmart parking lot and brought to the shelter. Rue is in a foster home, enjoying the play and company of her 5 four legged foster companions. She is learning to walk well on leash, jumps into her foster mom’s SUV and goes right into her crate for car rides. She is doing excellent with her potty training and sleeps well in her crate all night. Rue has great ball drive and very treat motivated so is very fun and eager to train. She also might do great with nose work. She also goes to play day once a week with her foster mom’s dog trainer where she hangs out with many different dogs. Rue can be a little aloof on first meeting but warms up quickly. She truly tries to please and loves to cuddle with her foster mom in the evenings. Rue is going to make a great, fun and loyal companion. Rue is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all of her shots. He is very tall and sort of lanky. He is the sweetest and most loving dog. He does do well with his fur siblings, but he does get jealous and wants all the hugs. Percy has one favorite ball he squeezed and will show you that it is his favorite toy. He will sit patiently to play a game of catch. He does love his food, he eats quickly and he came be a bit reactive around food. So he is fed separately during meal time. Percy is a dream on leash and loves to go on walks. He is very loyal and loves, loves, loves his people and being with them. Chest scratches are one of his favorite things in the world. Percy is crate training and has also had some formal training. He will have additional training available to his new adopter. He is fully vaccinated and neutered. No small dogs for Percy and no cats. Meet Scout! This baby girl is about four months old. She has so much love to give. Her happiest moments are when she is with her humans or foster fur friends.She is still learning basic commands and is a super-fast learner. Her potty training is about 90% there. We really think she would do best with a family who already has a resident dog. She sleeps well all night in her crate. She will even walk into it willingly for naps during the day. She is a big girl. We believe she will be a large German Shepherd. She does well with children, but tends to jump up, which her foster parents are working on. We believe she is cat workable. She is super eager to please and is a very fast learner! Training with her will both be rewarding for her and for her handler. She is learning that toys are fun to pay with and all squeakers need to be popped in them! She does have some prey drive, so no cats for her! She sleeps well in her crate at night and will willingly walk in it during the daytime for her naps. She is leash reactive with other dogs, simple corrections are all that is needed, and she is back on track. She has the energy of a Malinois but will settle well and cuddle on the couch.
