Odín is a very sweet, shy, submissive boy that sadly, was neglected by his previous owner. He was under weight, had demodex, chronic ear infection in both ears and also tested positive for giardia. In just under a month ,with the proper treatment, this boy has almost fully recovery, and now has a clean bill of health. While he has recovered physically, he is still a work in progress emotionally as he was never proper socialized and is nervous and anxious around new people and new surroundings. He does learn to trust quickly and is very smart, he also likes other dogs and kids but due to his size we reccomend older kids. He has been okay with the cat at his foster home as well. Proper training and socialization is a must for this boy and with continuing TLC he will be an amazing member of the family and probably the best good-looking one! Kilo is one of the 4 pups that we sprung from the Manteca shelter. Kilo does not know he is pint size. He’s the first to jump in with the big foster brothers and bark at a squirrel, deer or a passing person. He is extremely alert and smart. He watches TV and if there’s a bad guy he growls and barks to warn something bad is about to happen - it’s hilarious how he knows! The other dogs look at him like he’s crazy! He is very confident. He wants to play with the big Danes and took a prized bone and proudly pranced to show it off to even the top dog in our house that he had laid claim to it! He is a love bug, he seems to bonds quickly with his humans and already feels that he should protect their house, strutting at the gate and being on “duty” seems to give him a lot of happiness. He will crawl into a lap, he also is ok to be on the floor by your feet. This boy will need a job, he would be great at scent training. He’s a special puppy and will need dedicated owners that understand his needs. Herbert hikes off leash and doesn’t wander far from his person. In the house, he settles right down and has never barked or whined. He has been exposed cats and geese without incident. He does best with friendly females and smaller dogs prior to neuter. When we met Bingley it was apparent he was stressed and confused. It was apparent that for the last year of his life or longer while his owner was sick he was there for her. While she was unable to give him the full care he needed, we were told how much she loved him, how he was always next to her and didn’t want to leave her side. His nails were long and curled, breaking off as he walked on the pavement. He has some bed sores from laying down a lot and he has some extra weight on him from being unable to go for walks. But through it all, he has sweet eyes and a big smile. Dakota, the owners son was skeptical and worried about the whole situation but after meeting Laura, Steve & Breann, he knew that he was leaving Bingley in good hands. He had closure that he was doing right by Bingley. Bingley now would get the support he needed. Bingley is a 5 year old black lab that was purchased at 8 weeks old from the exterminator after their family dog passed. He’s neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Even with the extra weight, he likes to go on walks and loves his veggies. We asked Dakota to write a “dating bio” for Bingley and this is what he said “ My names is Bingley and I’m a young dashing black lab male looking for a real commitment. I adore taking long walks on the beach or through the park. I enjoy nice meals and will sit at your feet and worship you. I will Netflix and even let you pick the girliest movie if you choose. At about 10 months old I had 11 puppies out side with no support. While I was with my puppies people kept comming by and taking them, I didn’t understand. Then someone came and they picked up my last puppy and I. Since then I have made new friends and I get to sleep inside on a dog bed. I have never had one of those before. I am scared but I love my foster mom. I can love and trust if you give me the time. The time to get to know you and your home. The time to decompress. I am looking for my special person. We were able to bring her into the rescue, so she did not have to deliver her pups in the shelter. It is now Jordans tern to find her forever home. Jordan is a well-rounded mama. She loves the family life. She gets along great with the resident dogs in her foster home. She does well with cats too! She absolutely loves children!
