Poppy is best described as the life of the party. You would never know that Poppy is a senior! She is spry, healthy and all around a happy go lucky girl. She is a lab mix, but in a mini body. She is a compact girl! Poppy is a real rescue, when her owner moved out they left her behind. She wandered to the next door neighbor and this family has been committed to finding Poppy her forever home ever since. Poppy whispered her wish list and it goes as following: “I am open to meeting new people, if you show up, don’t be empty handed. Not having treats will be seen as antisocial behavior and I will move along to the next person who has come fully prepared……..with treats. You can easily buy my affection, my loyalty and love……with a treat. I am very attentive and will sit at attention and will lay down when told….especially when it involves a treat. If you did not know, I like treats, my favorite are chicken, beef, salmon, peanut butter, coconut, apple, turkey, …..pretty much any treat, especially if you are offering. I am good with other dogs, but I like treats more! I would love a family that enjoys hikes and picnics. You bring the food and I will attend! We can walk along the beach and enjoy the salty air, we can stop so you can look at the ocean and I will stop for a treat. If you have a treat I know it will be the best day ever!! I am not really a huge fan of young kids as jumping around makes me sort of nervous. I think they might take my treats! Adoption fees: Senior: 6+ yrs $350.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHPP, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm each dog and chip. Lastly, we spay or neuter each of our dogs. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match.
