Rouge is a 2 month old male full bred Airdale terrier, we saved her and 3 of her siblings from a breeder who was selling them. We wanted to ensure they would find loving, caring furever homes where they would be taken care of and not chained up outside, or dumped later on. Which has been the trend in the south for some time. Rouge came from a litter of 12 puppies, another rescue took a few of the puppies in to their rescue, and some people bought puppies before we got there to save them. Rouge is a typical fun loving curious playful little girl, who loves everyone! We named her Rouge, from X-Men, her brother and sisters that we saved are Logan, Storm, and Jubliee Airdale terriers are large breed dogs. They grow to be between 40-70lbs. They have hair not fur, and are a large breed hypoallergenic dog, like a standard poodle. Their coloring is brown and tan, and all 4 siblings are nearly identical. They are good breed dogs, smart, average energy level, and good with people. Rouge and her siblings are only 2 months old, they are good with everyone and they will adjust well in almost any home they go to.Good with dogs, cats and children. These 4 pups will need to go to families who have fenced in yards. Rouge is currently working on potty training and crate training. show less

Spice is a 4 month old female black chi mix, she was an owner surrender. Her owner no longer wanted her, she had only just got Spice less than a month before, and rehomed her a meer 4 weeks later. Since being in her foster home, Spice has been having a blast playing with her foster siblings (who are also chi mixes). Her foster family adore her, they say she is very sweet pup no accidents in the home, and all around great dog. Spice is crate trained, housebroken, and good with dogs, cats and kids. Keta is a 2 year old female Cairn terrier mix. She was originally picked up as a stray at a local animal control in east TN. Keta was taken in by the humane society. The humane society was over capacity.. We reached out to the humane society and agreed to take in Keta, and Angel. Keta is a sweet girl, she likes her people and is affectionate. She can by shy at first meeting, and can have small dog syndrome (where a small dog thinks theyre the size of a great dane!) At the humane society she became friends with one dog, and one cat, but was very selective with other dogs/animals. Keta arrives in New England on 10/08/2022, and will need a foster home or adoptive home. Keta needs a home where she can be the only dog, OR a family who has rescue experience, and experience with shy, nervous small dogs. Keta adores her people, and would love to have a warm lap to nap in and call her own. Keta is good with people, but we suggest older kids, who can respect a dogs space. Keta is spayed., UTD medically, and is housbroken, and crate trained. She walks well on leash and does goo in the car. show less

We saved Angel when humane society was over capacity and we helped by intaking a few of their dogs. We were told they had adopted Angel to a family when she was 6 monthd old. They had learned 4 months later that the family was trying to sell her online. The humane society took this sweet girl back, and that is how she came into our care, Her foster parent says she is wonderful, good with kids, dogs, and is housbroken, crate trained and an over all great doggo! They said she is a 10 on a scale on 1-10! Angel is a 10 month old border collie mix, who deserves a family of her own, who wont try to sell her. She will arrive in New England on 10/08 and is hoping to find a furever home! show less

Sally is a 10 week old lab/shepard mix, whos is absolutely adorable! She came to Paws Rescue League Inc. as an owner surrender, when her family had an unwanted litter of puppies, due to not fixing mom dog. There were two puppies out of 8 who needed homes, the rest were given away. We were asked to help take 2 of the puppies in. By the time we got there to get them, one of the puppies was given to a family member. We ended up with little ole Sally! Who has adjusted perfectly with her temporary foster family. She has 2 fur foster siblings, a 60lb dog, and a 30lb dog and she keeps up with them! She sleeps well in her crate, with no accidents, she is working on potty training, and learning her basic commanfs. She is learning to live in a home, and be a big girl! Sally also has some other experiences she is getting used to thanks to her amazing foster family! She is being exposed to her person being in a wheelchair! This is great experience for Sally, it will help her when shes on walks in public places to not be scared by a chair, and possibly other mobile devices, like scooters, strollers, and bikes, it is especially helpful if she is adopted by a family who has a family memeber in a wheel chair. Exposing young puppies to all sorts of things in life prepares them to be the best they can be! Sally is good with other dogs, and all people, she is a snuggle bug and loves to nap with the other dogs, or with her people, on thier lap. She has not been cat tested yet, but she is young enough that adjusting to a home with a cat would be easy for her. Sally loves to play outdors, with other dogs, her favorite toys is a frisbee! Which is the size of her! Sally will grow to be a large dog, we assume between 40-70lbs. Sally needs a family who will continue with her training. show less

Sweet guy, he’s easy going, but loves to play with other dogs and people and toys. If you play with him he thinks it’s the best thing in the world and lights up. Fully crate trained, had 1 accident at his fosters home on the 2nd day. (We expect him to have atleast one accident transitioning to a new home), not cat tested. Walks ok on leash, good in the car. Val was found as a stray in TN, most likely she was dumped by her owners for not being a good hunting dog. Sadly, it is a common theme for "working type" dogs to be dumped or shot when they are of no use to the owners. Val was fortunated to not be killed, and was picked up by animal control, and placed on a stray hold. We work with local humane society to save dogs from kill shelters. We placed Val in a foster home, where she immediately flourished and showed all of us her fun, sweet loving personality, and her very contagious smile! She is truly a happy dog, who just wants to be loved, and to have a family to love. Val is good with all people, good with all size/breed/gendrs of dogs, she has not been cat tested yet so we are unsure how she would do. She is good with kids, but we do suggest kids 8 and up as she is a bigger dog, and can knock a child over. Val is crate trained, knows some of her basic commands, like sit and down, and no. She is fully housebroken, and fully vetted. She would love an active family, as she is under 2 years old and is still a young dog with some puppy energy. She would love a family to take her hiking, or to the beach! We prefer adopters with GSP experience, or with working breed experience. show less

Willow, Pecan and Pumpkin were owner surrenders, their family had unexpected puppies and were not able to keep them any longer. We took them into rescue to find them forever homes! Frito is a 3 month old male Chihuahua who was saved from a breeder. His prior owner was a breeder, who aquired Ruffles with the intent to breed him. The owner chose not to breed him, and chose to contact rescue to surrender him to a rescue to find a home for him. We also took in his brother Ruffles who has already been adopted. We agreed to take the Chihuahua puppies, who we decided to name Frito and Ruffles, and have promised them that they will never be used for breeding, and we will find them the best homes possible. Frito is a 3 month old male chihuahua, were told he is full bred, but we believe he is mixed. We do not guarantee any breeds. All dogs are listed as most likely breed, based on educated guess. Heimdall was found as a stray in rural TN, placed on a 3 day stray hold. Paws Rescue League saved him and 5 other dogs from animal control the fiest week of September. Heimdall is assumed to be an Irish wolfhound/doole mix, or a "Irish Wolfadoodle", who weighs about 50lbs and about 6 months old. He is currently in his TN foster home, and awaiting another vet appointment. He will be arriving in New England on October 8th 2022! Heimdall is a sweet goofy, affectionate boy who is eager to learn! He is currently learning what it is like live in home in his TN foster home. Heimdall is good with other dogs, people and children. He is a large dog and loves to run, a fenced in yard wil be required for him. Heimdall is craye trained, housebroken. Neutered, HW negative and UTD on all his vetting. More pictures coming soon! Dorito is a 10 month old male Chinese crested/Chi mix he was found as a stray and taken into animal control, where Paws Rescue League Inc saved him. He is fully vetted heartworm negative and available for adoption in New England. Dorito is 95% potty trained, he can have accidents if hes not let out every few hours as he is a small dog and still a puppy. He is crate trained, and good with all people, all dogs, and children, and cats. He is a sweet boy who is hoping to find his furever family. All he wants is a furever home, and maybe a sweater for those New England winters! Dorito weighs about 11-14lbs, and wont get much bigger. show less

Junie is an adorable 1 and half year old beagle mix, she is full gorwn at about 27lbs, she is a medium dog, she has a wonderful temperament, she gets along with everyone, dogs, people, and children, She has been cat tested and is cat friendly! She is crate trained and housbroken. Her foster says she sleeps through the night in her crate without a peep! She has been in her TN foster home for the last 3 weeks, while she was vetted and getting ready for her freedome ride up north to find her furever home. Beagles are known for having amazing temperaments ( which is why those awful people at the testing facility in VA used beagles). Such sweet dogs, no dog deserves a life of being alive just to have experiments done on them. That is animal abuse. Fortunately for Junie she was not in that gruop of dogs. But she still didnt have the best start to life. She was found as a stray, and taken to a kill shelter, where she had 3 days for her owner to claim her, or for a resuce to save her. Just like many many of the other dogs we save. We save the ones who are at high risk if euthansia. These shelters have no space, whiich is why they will euthanize, to make room for mroe stray dogs. We saved little June bug and got her the vet care she needed, and placed her in a loving foster home. She is new ready to start her furever life! show less

About Lady Luna, I am a 4 year old Golden Lab, Im spayed, and medically up to date with my vet care. I am on pills each month to keep the creepy crawlies off of me. I am fully house trained, and crate trained, though I much rather sleep close to my people. My previous family called me a goofy, sweet natured, happy girl who likes to explore the yard, or on a walk, or any new place I discover! I lived in a home with human children, and I had 2 fur siblings, a 7 year old Husky and a 7 year old Shepard. I like to play with other dogs, also with my chew toys, a ball, a stick, anything i can retrieve! I love the outdoors, and belly rubs are my favvvoorrittteee! I am the worlds best cuddler ( I have trophys to prove it ; ) Even if i did make them myself out of mud, they still count! I love children, and other dogs, but I am too playful for kitties. I tend to chase them, or any other woodland critters who run very fast, I get the desire to test my retrieving skills! Who can blame me? Im just a dog. I've yet to catch any, my previous partents wouldnt let me. I can get very excited (like us Goldens do, and can jump at times out of pure joy of seeing my people!) I am a strong girl, and my parents had got me a nice shirt, they call it a harness, but it helps me walk like a lady. Lasly I am not a big fan of the vets office, where they poke and prod me, and I feel nervous and scared. If you think I may be the lady for you, please message the very nice rescue people and let them know you would like to meet me!! I am looking for a family, becasue sadly my family split apart. My dad wanted to keep me, but he isnt able to. He reached out to the very nice rescue people, and told them all about me, and they promised to find me a loving home that is a lot like my home I had before. show less

Cheeto is a shy but sweet, playful fun loving 4 month old puppy! He was found as a stray. He was at risk of euthanzia. As all dogs picked up by the county animal control have 3 days to have their owner come claim them, or somone to adopt them by the third day, or a rescue to take them by the third day. If no one saves the dog, the dog could be euthanized for space. Cheeto had arrangments to be adopted locally, but on Cheetos third day his new adopters didnt show. The local Humane society reached out to us and asked if we could take him into our rescue, as they were full. We of course agreed to take him in, we do not discriminate on breed, age, or medical conditions. Once we got Cheeto out of the Animal Control Shelter we had him vetted and placed in a loving foster home. He is a sweet boy who is shy and timid at first, but once he warms up he loves everyone and is such a good pupper! He is very smart, and picks up on routines quickly. He is an australian cattle dog (also known as a red heeler) mix, Cattle dogs/heelers are hearding dogs, are known for being highly trainable, and very smart. Heelers are on the more active side, and will require an adopter who can take him for walks, or hikes, or outings as well as romps in the back yard. Cheeto is crate trained, and working on mastering potty training. Since being in foster he is doing great, and utilizes the doggy door. Cheeto is good with other dogs, dog savvy cats (he wants to play with the cats) and children. Cheeto is still very young, about 13 weeks old, and needs a family who understands puppies, or has had experience with puppies, and a faitly active family, or couple. and is He cant wait to meet his family in New England! He gets his freedom ride to New England mid September 2022! show less

Daisy is a beautiful female tricolored border collie mix, she is 1.5 years old. She is full grown at about 45lbs. Daisy is a sweet girl, who is good with dogs of all ages, shapes and sizes, good with children, and all people. She has not been cat tested so we are unsure how she would do with kitty friends. Daisy is fully housebroken, crate trained, and has been attending doggy daycare for the last 12 months. She is very well socialized, and well behaved. She is hoping to find her PAWfecr furever home in New England! Daisys perfect home would be with an fairly activty person who can keep Daisy engaged, and physically and mentally stimulated, or a young couple who can take her on adventures, as well as walks around the neighborhood, and play sessions in the yard! She would also do well with a family, who is fairly active, and can take her on family outings, walks, and playing in the yard. Mahliah is a very sweet affectionate girl, She is about a year old, Australian Kelpie/Shepard mix and has the ears to prove it! She is adorable, and friendly, loves people, and other dogs. She has not been officially cat tested yet, but we feel she would do well with dog savvy cats. Mahliah is full grown, and weighs about 33lbs. A beautiful black and brown coat, with tan feet, that look like shes wearing shoes. She is crate trained, housebroken, has great indoor manners. She knows sit, and is eager to learn more! She is currently beign fostered with Chico (boston terrier mix), who she is besties with. Tortilla came to Paws Rescue League Inc, after he his owners tried to rehome him. At just 7/8 weeks old we had been shared Tortilas story and family contact info, we tried to save him, but we were told he was already being picked up by someone else. They rehomed little Tortilla to a home that was not a great home, and within hours of the new family taking Tortilla the original owners asked Paws Rescue League Inc if we could help with taking Tortilla into rescue. The new owners who just took him did not want to keep him and were threatening to place him at a kill shelter if someone did not come and get him immediately. Poor Tortilla wasnt even in this new home for more than 4 hours before they decided they did not want him. We immediately jumped in to help this little baby, and we provided him with deworming medication, and vaccinated him, and to a vet. Tortilla is now avaialbale for adoption, and will be making his way to New England mid September 2022. Tortilla is thought to be a husky/aussie shepard mix, he will grow to be anywhere from 30lbs - 70lbs full grown. He is an adorable red/white husky with green/blue eyes. He is a very young puppy still, so he is not trained, or housebroken. He is good with all aniamls, people, children, and should be fine with cats since he is so young. Tortilla would do best with a family with husky experience. One thing that Tortilla def has from his husky traits is he looooovvess to talk. He will talk while eating, playing, and sometimes even sleeping! How adortable can one pup be?? show less

Artemis is the sweetest, silly girl! Her TN foster family absolutely adore her! Artemis was an owner surrender, her owners took her to the shelter (which is a kill shelter, that will euthanize owner surrenders after 24 hours). The voluneers at animal control said it was heartbreaking watching Artemis watch as her family she knew, turned her back and walked away from her, leaving her alone in a strange and scary place. Artemis, (is the name she came with, and knows) was extremley confused and sad, but immediately sought comfort from the volunteers as she cried. We pulled Artemis from the shelter the next day and placed her in a loving foster home, where she loves to be with her foster parents and join them in all their activities, probably due to fear of being abandonded by someone she loves again. Artemis is about 1.5 year old boxer/hound mix who is absolutely adorable, and very regal looking! She will make an amazing best friend, or a perfect family dog! She is crate trained, housebroken, walks ok on leash, knows some commands, and loves to play with other dogs, children, and to be around her people. Artemis will be in New England and will be ready to go to her furever home! show less
