💕 Meet the Bambi litter! 🦌  Faline, Thumper, Owl, Mr. Mole, Flower, Aunt Ena, and Mrs. Possum This ADORABLE litter of 7 mixed breed puppies were born to mama Bambi (the sweetest mama EVER) on 9/19! They will be 8 weeks old on 11/14, and we are accepting applications on them now! 🐶 Mama Bambi is still awaiting her spay appointment, but she will be available for adoption soon as well! 💗  Mama Bambi is a medium (~40 lbs) Cattle Dog/shepherd mix, and we suspect that dad is a Great Pyrenees mix. Several of the pups have the Pyr double rear dew claws. We expect them to grow to medium/large dogs. These cuties are typical happy/playful pups who love everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs.  Apply to meet these sweet puppies today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! show less

Meet Mercury (aka Bodie), a super handsome 9 month old neutered male husky mix! Mercury was born to mama Aurora on 1/30/2025. He was adopted as a young puppy and, through no fault of his own, he was recently returned to the rescue (the resident dog in the home was not a fan of having a puppy sibling and the adopter decided it was in Mercury's best interest to rehome him). We welcomed Mercury back to PRL with open arms, and we know he will find a perfect furever home, just like his mama and littermates have! Mercury currently weighs about 40 lbs and is expected to grow to a medium sized dog (our guess is probably ~50-60 lbs adult weight). This blued eyed boy is full of energy and personality! He is friendly, sweet, and social - he loves being near his people and is eager to please. He is also very smart and treat motivated, which is a winning combo for a trainable pup! Mercury loves to run free in the yard, playing tag with his foster bro and burning off puppy energy. When it's time to wind down, he snuggles up in his crate, which is his cozy safe space for naps and sleeping through the night like a champ! This boy would make a great running and/or hiking buddy, as he is always up for an adventure. Most of all, he just wants a furever home of his own! From Mercury's current foster:  "We have been fostering Mercury for about 6 weeks now and he’s been an absolute dream! He’s really such a well-behaved boy. He’s improved so much with leash walking and loves to find a new stick on his walks.  Mercury loves a good car ride and immediately falls asleep or lets the wind run over his face. He loves to play with dogs and humans alike, and had a successful puppy play date with 5 other dogs! Mercury is such a sweet boy and is ready to make a family very happy 😃" He is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. If you're ready for a furry friend who will keep you on your toes and steal your heart, Mercury is the pup for you!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. Meet Amanda, the CUTEST little furry lovebug! We think she is a yorkie poo (we suspect she may have some havanese in her as well). This tiny girl weighs 7 lbs and is estimated to be about 5 years old. She is the perfect blend of sweet and sassy and is oh so loveable! 💗  Amanda LOVES attention (you might even say she demands it 😬) and being near her people. She is a true lap dog who would be thrilled to spend her days cuddled up in your arms. Amanda does great with other dogs, although she can be a little nervous with bigger dogs. She has not been cat tested, but we feel she would likely be fine with cats. She would thrive in a quieter, low-key home without young children, as she doesn’t enjoy human chaos—but she doesn’t mind the playful chaos of her furry friends! Amanda is what we lovingly call a “door-darter,” so she’ll need to be watched closely when people are coming and going. And for an extra dose of charm—Amanda will stand and spin like a little ballerina when treats are involved. 🩰🐶💕 Amanda’s dream home would be with someone who’s happy to sit and snuggle with her all day long. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who will fill your life with love, Amanda might just be your perfect match. She is medically up to date, housebroken, and pad trained. Meet Maeve, a super sweet 2.5 year old spayed female mini poodle! She is the perfect portable size at 10 lbs and is just as cute as can be!  Maeve was a local owner surrender. She has been well cared for and loved, however her owner made the difficult decision to surrender her due to not having enough time to give her the attention she deserves (due to no fault of Maeve's). Her owner wanted to ensure Maeve's well being by surrendering her to a rescue.  This tiny gal is super friendly and loves being around people! She is an energetic girl who loves tennis balls and soft toys, and she enjoys playing fetch. She would do best with an active person/family who can give her adequate physical/mental stimulation. She would also LOVE to have another young doggo in the house to play with and keep her company! She is smart as can be - knows basic commands and listens well, very treat motivated and easy to train. She is good with other dogs of all sizes, people, and kids. She does have a strong prey drive and likes to chase small critters, so we think a cat-free home would be best for her. Maeve is medically up to date and mostly housebroken. She does her business outside, but she does tend to have pee accidents indoors  when she is stressed or excited. She is not a huge fan of the crate, but she settles in it after a short while. Meet Smidgen, a super sweet senior chihuahua mix, weighing about 10 lbs! This little old lady was found on the side of the road in east TN, eating garbage. She was placed in a loving foster home, where she has been enjoying having a full bowl of food and a warm bed. She is now ready to head north to find her furever home! Smidgen is a little love who is happiest when she is on your lap! She loves to be close to her people and is a wonderful companion. She does a cute little howl when she is excited that sounds like she is singing! 🥰 She is good with other dogs, cats, people, and older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space (due to her age and small size). Meet Sizzle, a super sweet ~7 year old neutered male chihuahua mix, weighing about 13 lbs! This friendly guy gets along great with other dogs and cats. He is good with people, we recommend older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space (due to some resource guarding tendencies with food and toys - this is common and we always recommend feeding/giving treats separately from other dogs to avoid any issues).  From Sizzle's current foster:  "Sizzle enjoys playing with my other three dogs. Doesn't care at all about my two cats. He will scratch you with his paws when he wants attention. And sit on his hind legs to get his tummy rubbed. Does great on a leash. Gets right into his crate when you put a treat in first." He is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. A 100% good doggo! **OCTOBER SPECIAL** This dog is eligible for $100 off the listed adoption fee, valid through the end of October! Offer applies to select dogs only, and adoption must be finalized by 10/31/2025 to take advantage of this offer. Meet Colt, a ~4 year old neutered male hound/boxer mix who's been putting in work....on his diet, that is. This 70lb chunky monkey is shedding pounds (slowly, and with great protest) to become the lean, snuggle machine he's destined to be! When he's not busy being adorable, Colt loves making friends, two legged and four legged alike! He attended doggy daycare and training classes in his TN foster home, and he earned himself a certificate in "Goodest Boy-ness." He is a friendly, good natured boy who gets along well with other dogs, cats, people, and kids! From Colt's current foster: "We’ve been fostering Colt for 3 weeks now and he’s one of the easiest fosters thus far. Although he can get a bit rambunctious and starts barking when he sees other dogs he is generally a chill guy.  He does well with our cat, he is not actively trying to get her attention since she’s a grumpy lady but when they have to co-exist in the same room he respects her space and leaves her be. If it were up to him we would cuddle all day! He’s recently got into the habit of trying to get on my desk chair to be next to me when I work at home. That being said he does tremendously well alone! Now that the school year has started I’m not home often so he’s had to stay in a separate room alone for a good amount of the day. The max we’ve done is 5 hours and he slept through it all!" Colt is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. If you're ready for a partner in crime who will bring joy and laughter to your life, Colt might just be your guy! Thank you for your support and understanding! show less

Meet Dottie, a beautiful 1 year old spayed female Australian Cattle Dog/Rat Terrier mix! She is the perfect portable size at about 25 lbs and she has stunning heterochromatic eyes - one blue eye and one brown eye!  Dottie can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly (can take a little longer to warm up to some men) and is a very sweet, loving pup! She walks great on leash and is always up for a play session!  She is good with other dogs and people (she has a high prey drive so no cats for this girl).  Dottie loves to run and she would LOVE a fenced in yard of her own! Another young dog in the house to run and play with and to keep her company would be ideal.  Due to her breed mix and herding instincts, we recommend older kids 8+, or families experienced with herding breeds. Dottie is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (she has occasional accidents when not kept on a consistent schedule - we think a fenced yard with a doggie door would help a lot with this), and crate trained (she LOVES her crate!).  Apply to meet this special girl today and get ready for a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and unconditional love!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. **OCTOBER SPECIAL** This dog is eligible for $100 off the listed adoption fee, valid through the end of October! Offer applies to select dogs only, and adoption must be finalized by 10/31/2025 to take advantage of this offer. Meet Athena, a pretty 1.5 year old spayed female shepherd/husky/malamute mix with a soft, fluffy coat and soulful eyes that will melt your heart! She weighs about 43 lbs and is full grown. Athena was adopted as a young puppy and was sadly returned to the rescue one year later, after her family realized they did not have enough time for a young, energetic dog. That was five months ago, and this sweet girl is still looking for her REAL forever family who will not give up on her 😔. Athena is a very friendly, silly girl who wants to befriend everyone she meets, however she is still learning manners and boundaries, which she was unfortunately not taught as a young pup. Because of this, she is a bit like an overgrown, impolite puppy. Don't let that scare you away, as she is a VERY charming overgrown puppy, and she has SO much potential to develop into a truly wonderful dog.  She is extremely smart and is receptive to training, but she needs someone with the time and patience to work with her individually and help her learn to be the best doggo she can be! She has been attending training classes with her foster family and has been trained with an ecollar.  Athena loves other dogs and is very social and playful with dogs of all sizes! She does play rough and can be a bit much for some dogs. She does best with other young, high energy dogs with a similar play style. She is not great at reading other dogs' social cues and will need additional work in this area.  She is great with people and older kids 10+ (due  to her exuberant spirit, as she may unintentionally knock over small children). She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats.  Athena would thrive in a home with a fenced in yard where she can run free and burn off some energy! As a young herding breed, she needs adequate physical and mental stimulation to set her up for success. She would be a great match for an active family looking for a running and/or hiking buddy. She is also an excellent candidate for agility or training games.  Athena is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this special girl today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. Offer applies to select dogs only, and adoption must be finalized by 10/31/2025 to take advantage of this offer. Goya and Pinto came into rescue together and have been fostered together, they do wonderfully together and are a perfect pair! We'd like for them to be adopted together as the two of them are really not much extra work than one 😊  From Goya's current foster:  "Goya is super sweet and shy boy 🥰 He loves chewing bones and playing with squeaky toys. He always lays with his paws crossed 😁 He is potty trained and crate trained- doesn’t make a peep at night.  He loves everyone and doesn’t mind being picked up and cuddled. He loves my 2 kids (8 and 10). Goya and Pinto are both so well behaved, love to snuggle and chill on the couch. But they do love to play with toys and chase each other!!!! Great with kids- no spicyness with these guys! Anyone can pick them up and love them!!!! Whenever they come down stairs in the morning, Goya and Pinto’s tails go wild and they jump like bunnies. **OCTOBER SPECIAL** This dog is eligible for $100 off the listed adoption fee, valid through the end of October! Offer applies to select dogs only, and adoption must be finalized by 10/31/2025 to take advantage of this offer. If you're looking for a cuddle buddy to spend your days snuggled up on the couch with, then this girl is the one for you! 🐶  Meet Trixie, a super sweet 4-5 year old spayed female terrier/lab mix, weighing about 75-80 lbs! This girl is a total LOVEBUG who loves everyone she meets! She has never met a stranger and just wants to love and be loved. Trixie loves to cuddle and give kisses! She also has the most stunning chocolate eyes! Trixie is a lower energy dog who does not require much to be happy. She is a wonderful companion and is perfectly content to spend most of her day lounging, as long as she gets one good walk and a little play time that is all she really needs! Trixie LOVES toys (especially balls), and she will do anything for a treat! She is good with other dogs (she prefers lower energy dogs like herself and is not a fan of rambunctious dogs in her face), cats, people, and kids. She loves to chew on a good bone and walks ok on leash (she does pull a bit, but is easily corrected). Trixie would love nothing more than a home to call her own, and she would do well in most home environments.  From Trixie's current foster:  "Fun fact about Trixie: her eyes are brown but both are a different shade! ✨🤎🧡 That’s right, it’s not the lighting or sun casting tricks it’s just her uniqueness that matches her personality. Trixie is a very sweet and low energy dog. She loves humans and has a drive to please. You’re instantly her best friend and she would love you even more if you throw her ball a few times. She’s good around my dogs but definitely lets them know she just wants to chill and be left out of the shenanigans. She loves loves loves toys but balls are her favorite (she’ll take them all if she can). The first day I brought her home she went around my yard picked up a toy, walked to the next one, picked that one up, onto to next, so on and so forth until she touched every one! Although she’s a big couch potato, her main focus is being next to you as much as possible." Trixie is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. Apply to meet this gem of a girl today!
