Houdini and his brother Zero came to us, from a local animal control. Paws Rescue League Inc, saved them from the shelter. TN allows dogs 3 days to find a new family or rescue before they can euthanize for space. If a dog is dumped by their owners, a dog can have as little as 24 hours to find a new home or rescue.  Houdini was brought to the shelter with his brother Zero when their family decided they had too many animals to care for. Houdini is just 6 months old, a sweet pup, who is healthy and has his whole life ahead of him. He is a neutered male, he is about 30lbs, we believe he will be about medium sized full grown ( 55 lbs or under). Houdini is playful, friendly, curious and eager to please his people. He has an adorable black and white coat pattern. He is good with kids, and other dogs. He has not been cat tested so we are unsure how he would do with cats. He is crate trained, walks well on leash, good on car rides, and is mostly house broken ( he may have accidents while learning a new routine or home layout. Houdini is medically up to date on annual vaccines, is 4dx negative, and current on monthly preventatives.  Houdini is currently in a CT foster home, and is very excited to meet potetial families who would love to add him to their family!  Check out his video on Youtube: https://youtu.be/7r05X1Ng86k show less

I may be small, but I have a big personality! I am a wise and loyal companion. I love napping in the sun and snuggling up with my humans, or my Fur sibling Boop, whom I love very much and am protective of her as she only has 1 eye. Ive been around the block a few times, but i still have so much love to give! Together we make quite the duo, Im always there to guide my sister and keep her safe. When I'm not taking care of Boop, and my family, you can find me snuggled up in a cozy spot catching some zzzzz, dreaming about the days I used to chase those pesky squirels. I have a big heart, and am so excited to find my final family who will love and care for me ( and hopefully Boop) until the end of my days.  Betty, and Boop were surrendered at a KILL shelter when their owners no longer wanted them. Betty is a 15 year old shih tsu, and Boop is a 9 year old Shih tsu who only has 1 eye, she had her eye removed in the past due to an injury.  All these 2 want to do is stay together, and have a warm place to snuggle up, and a human who loves them, who they can love in return. They are ready to find their FURever home, and hopefully it will be the only home they have for the rest of their lives. While we would LOVE for them to be adopted together, they are pretty bonded, we do know that its not always possible. The ideal home for these girls would be a calm, more laid back home, with a single person, or couple, or family with other kids who understand how to respect dogs, as Betty is getting up their in age, we want them to have the most relaxing life possible, these two have been through enough.     show less

My sister Betty has been with me from day 1, and has yet to leave my side, we are like 2 peas in a pod.  I have a big heart, and am so excited to find my final family who will love and care for me ( and hopefully Boop) until the end of my days.  2 is ALWAYS better than 1!!! Introducing Tobie, the brave and resilient 2-year-old neutered male Akita/Husky mix in search of his forever home! 🐾 Tobie's journey to safety was nothing short of miraculous. When he was dumped at the animal control, he was filthy and his life was hanging by a thread. Thanks to the dedication of multiple volunteers from the AC/Humane Society, Tobie's life was saved, and a compassionate foster stepped in to provide him with the care and love he desperately needed. Initially timid with new people, Tobie quickly warms up and shows his playful side. He's a true Husky mix, displaying the energetic and spirited nature of the breed. Tobie is crate trained and appreciates the company of other dogs. When left alone in the foster yard, he may bark as he longs for the presence of his furry friends or the reassurance of human companionship. Although Tobie's past may have left him a bit skittish, he's still young at heart. He enjoys playtime, chew toys, and bones. His foster describes him as great with her dogs, although he may need some guidance to understand boundaries. Tobie finds comfort and happiness when surrounded by his four-legged companions. In the first few days, Tobie may appear shy and seek attention on his own terms. Approaching him directly might cause him to retreat or hide. However, with patience and understanding, Tobie's trust and bond can flourish. He's mostly housebroken, with just a few accidents that can be attributed to the adjustment period. If you're ready to provide Tobie with a loving forever home, filled with patience, companionship, and understanding, he will reward you with unwavering loyalty and a lifetime of love. show less

Brodie was picked up by animal control, when a breeder called animal control to come and get 4 Schnauzer mixes they were using for breeding. Brodie, McGregor, Connor, and Margo were all at animal control when we got a call from the humane society who asked us to take then into Paws Rescue League inc. We took all 4 into our care, and had them all placed in TN foster homes, while they were vetted. Margo has been adopted, as has McGregor, and Connor. Brodie is the only one of the 4 who are still available.   All 4 were very shy, and timid, and all 4 liked to follow their new foster parents around. These 4 doggos didnt have the best start at life, and have not been exposed to all the sights, sounds, and love from people. While they are all loving all the affection and care they are getting, they are all still nervous in new situations, and sounds. All 4 are gentle, and sweet, no aggression. Since they have been exposed to caring loving people, they are learning how to share that attention with other dogs.   Brodie is a beautiful sweet boy, who is crate trained, and is housebroken once he learns the layout of the home, and the routine. He weighs about 23lbs, and is very fluffy. We do not know if he is hypo allergenic or not, we do know he is a low shedder.  Brodie is medically UTD, and is scheduled for neuter in 2 weeks.  Brodie is currently being fostered in CT, and is hoping to find his furever home soon! show less
