Meet Bailey Bob, a 9 month old neutered male basset hound/cocker spaniel mix! He weighs about 22 lbs and is good with other dogs, people, and kids. Miss Trunchbull (Miss T) is one of the puppies from the Matilda litter. She is now 14 weeks old and is suspected to be a Catahoula/Cattle dog mix (based on mama Matilda, we are not sure what breed(s) dad is). We expect Miss T and her siblings to grow to about 25-35 lbs. She is a typical playful puppy that is doing great with potty and crate training in her foster home, but what she really wants is a furever home! Miss T is a sweet girl who loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home, she has even befriended a lamb! This darling pup loves to be close to her people, she will lie by your feet and walk by your side when you're outside. Nellie is an owner surrender, her owner sadly had to give her and his other dogs up due to personal reasons. We can say that her owner was devestaded to see her go, but he made sure that she came to rescue and is entrusting us to find her the very best home where she will be loved and pampered. Nellie also came in with a pup of hers. Balto is a 4 month old male golden doodle. Nellie is a 4 year old spayed female AKC registered Standard Poodle. She has a sweet temperament and is very smart, which is true to the breed. She is great with kids, and new people, she loves people and is very laid back and calm inside the home, and in cars. She is just a true sweetie. We can see the love and care she was given in her previous home. She knows some basic commands, is housebroken, and crate trained, though she rather be with her people. She is good on leash, in the car, at the vet, and a dream to groom! She actually fell asleep during her grooming! She would fit well in most homes, and she will make a family very happy! show less

Stephen is a beautiful 3 year old neutered male St Bernard! He weighs about 120 lbs and is housebroken and crate trained. Stephen is very sweet, loves his people, and good with other dogs, he has not been cat tested. We reccomend an adoptive home with children 10 years and up due to his size. Cami was born to momma Darla on 09/29/2023. Darla was found as a stray heavily pregnant, large efforts were made to locate her owners to no prevail. A wonderful woman took Darla to the vet for scans, to find out how far along and how many babies she should expect her to deliver. Its safe to know the number of babies to make sure all are delivered safely, and none get stuck inside mom, which is deadly for the baby, and mom. Darla had her 11 darling babies 2 weeks after being picked up off the streets in NC. Sadly at only a few days old one of the babies passed away, and a few days after that, a 2nd baby passed away. Darla has 9 susrviving pups, who are all goregeous pooches and are almost ready for their FURever homes! These puppies are currently 6 weeks old, they will be 8 weeks old when they go to their FURever homes.. They are young enough that they will adapt to any animals, and people in their homes. Like toddlers, 8 week old puppies will learn what you teach them! They are currently fostered in a home with small children, dogs ( Chihuahas, staffordshire terriers, and Bloodhounds, and cats). Cami is a female treeing walker coon hound, she will be 8 weeks old when she arrives in New England. We are hoping to get all 9 of these darlings into thier new homes, to avoid them being bounced around and having to adjust to another foster home. Cami has an lavender collar. show less

Banana and Bread are sweet 4 month old spayed female hound mixes that were picked up as strays. Banana weighs about 35 lbs. She is very sweet and friendly and loves other dogs, although she can be a little shy at first. She is good with people and kids and is housebroken and crate trained. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats. From Banana's foster mom: "Banana is an absolute sweetheart, like her sibling Bread. She loves to be near me and my own dog. She "sits" and is quite a good girl on leash (amazing for her age). She is very observant of her surroundings and loves all the scents in our large yard. She was fantastic in her crate overnight. Today she did nap on the bed and clearly by how she cuddled right up, this is not her first time, lol." show less

Meet Spot! Spot is a 5-6 year old neutered chi/small terrier mix weighing about 24 lbs. Spot was relinquinshed to animal control with Mink after their owner died. Spot is a sweet doggo who was loved and cared for his whole life, he is a good dog who is used to living in a home and does well with other dogs and people/kids. He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. Spot is a chill guy who enjoys lounging on the couch or in bed with a warm and snuggly human! He would do well in most homes. From Spot's foster mom: "Spot was so named because of his perfectly round spot on his left side. He's my 18th foster for Paws Rescue League Inc. and is definitely one of my most favorite. He was loved by someone who passed away and the family brought him to animal control. I have no idea why they didn't keep him because he is absolutely perfect. He loves everyone - people dogs and kids - he gives all a smooch when he meets them. He gives the BEST kisses too! He loves to snuggle. He's completely potty trained. He barely barks. He barely sheds. He has no behavioral issues whatsoever. And most importantly he is cute as heck 🥰🥰 Honestly, if I didn't have enough of my own dogs, I would keep him in a heartbeat. He's not overly energetic. He likes a short walk every day but doesn't need to be entertained all day long. He deserves the most comfy place to spend the rest of his life." show less

Fiona is a 3-4 year old chihuahua mix, weighing about 7 lbs. She was dumped at the kill shelter with Henri and Hank. Paws Rescue League was full, many other rescues are full, and animal control was so full, that they were going to immediately euthanize these 3. Thankfully one of our volunteers offered to foster all 3, to save their lives. We soon discovered that Fiona was pregnant. We took her in for a scan and she had 1 very big baby. She delivered her baby Ally, a few days after her scan. Sadly 2 weeks later Ally passed away, she had failure to thrive. Fiona is great with people and kids and likes to cuddle them. She is also good with other dogs, pigs, and horses. She has not been cat tested, however her TN foster feels she would be good with cats as well. She is shy at first but opens up and is a cuddle bug. She is playful but does not play rough. Fiona is housebroken and crate trained. Fiona is now ready to find a family of her own, and put all her sadness from her prior life behind her. And see what the future has to offer her! We promised her she will never have to be abandoned again, and never have puppies again. We promised she would find the best home, who will spoil her and give her all the love in the world. Fiona is not yet spayed, but will be spayed after she arrives in New England. Fiona arrives in New England on 11/11 and can't wait to meet her furever home! show less

Lloyd is a handsome 3 -4 year old neutered lemon Beagle. Just look at that happy smile on his face! Lloyd is a sweet boy, weighing about 23 lbs. He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Lloyd is good with other dogs, people, children and cats! He was fostered in a home with dogs, children and cats. This sweet happy boy will make a lucky family very happy! Lloyd was saved from Animal Control, where he was facing euthanasia due to the massive amount of abandonded and stray dogs, animal controls are full, and many euthanize dogs afrer 1 - 5 days of being in the shelter. Lloyd has booked his freedom ride out of TN and will be arriving in New England on 11/4! show less

Jolene is a 5 month old border collie puppy with the prettiest blue eyes! She was picked up as a stray, with an adult male border collie. We named her Jolene and we named the adult male Jessie. A play on some songs. Jolene weighs about 20lbs currently, we estimate she will be between 35-45lbs full grown. Jolene is playful, friendly, affectionate, and super smart! Her TN foster says that Jolene loves to cuddle and is so excited to come out of her crate in the morning and give kisses! We can't imagine how anyone could dump these two sweeties (Jolene and her friend Jessie, who she came in with, possibly her dad but we are not positive). Jolene is great with other dogs, she loves to play with them and is good at following social cues. She is crate trained and working on housebreaking (her foster says she is doing very well). Jolene is good with people and kids, she has not been cat tested so we are unsure how she would do with cats. Jamison is a stunning 8-month-old Catahoula mix eagerly searching for his forever home. With his striking coat and soulful eyes, he captures the attention of all who meet him. Jamison's friendly and sociable nature makes him an excellent companion for both dogs and kids. Although his compatibility with cats is yet to be determined, his curious and adaptable nature holds promise for successful introductions. Jamison is a very active young pup and would do best with a fenced in yard to run around in. He likes to be around his people and is a cuddler. He is working on slowing down his pace with eating, and may need to be fed separate from other dogs in the home as he may try to steal their food. Clara is a sweet as pie 1 year old spayed female small terrier mix, weighing about 16 lbs. She was picked up as a stray with several other small terriers: Nora, Mojo, and Busy. Clara contracted parvo shortly after being taken into rescue, which is often a death sentence. Not only did she recover fully, but Clara blossomed into a super sweet, playful, and friendly girl who has been flourishing in her TN foster home. Clara is good with other dogs, she has not been cat tested so we are unsure how she would do with cats. She is good with people and would do well with kids. Habibi is a 1 year and 2 month old neutered male, Bernesdoodle, who was surrendered to Paws Rescue League Inc, by his owners who no longer were able to care for him. Habibi is a sweet playful boy, who is still in his puppy years ( arounf 2 years old is when dogs tend to wind down from their puppyhood). Habibi is good with other dogs, loves his people, and all people, and good with children 8 years and up ( hes not been tested with children under 8 years old). He is crate trained, and housebroken. He has not been cat tested so we are unsure how he would be with cats. Habibi is a mix between a standard poodle, and a bernes mountain dog, its important for anyone interested in adopting Habibi that they know the breeds, and temperaments, and understand their energy level, and size, and grooming requirments before adopting. Meet Morrison, a handsome 1 year old neutered male Pembroke welsh Corgi! He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Morrison is good with other dogs and people and, as you can see, he is cute as can be! Morrrison loves to play with footballs, enjoys playing with his human foster brothers! He loves pets, and attention from his people, He is good on car rides, on leash and in the bath! He sleeps well in the crate, and has been a great house guest according to his TN foster family!
