Meet Elsa, a super sweet approx 5 year old female chihuahua who has a heart of gold! Elsa was rescued from a hoarding case in east TN when she was pregnant, and she and 9 other chihuahuas were taken in by Paws Rescue League. Elsa is the loving mama of Axel and Dieter, born on 1/1/25, who have both been adopted. Elsa is ready to follow in their footsteps and find a furever home of her own! Elsa is a shy girl and takes time to warm up to new people, but she wants so badly to love and be loved. She was the absolute best momma to her puppies - she is so patient, loving, and gentle. From her current foster: "Elsa is an absolute doll. I've had her for over a month now and while she is shy to warm up, she is totally worth the wait. She loves cuddling up in bed with a cozy blanket and when you get home, she'll dance with excitement. She will also demand belly rubs at all times so I hope you're ready! She will blossom with a patient adopter who gives her time to build confidence and come to you when she's ready. A perfect, sweet, gentle girl. As you can tell from her pictures, she doesn't mind getting dolled up and wearing cute outfits - she even grabs her pink sweater and brings it to me sometimes, almost like she's asking to put it on. She loves to gently wrestle with other pups, but is very good at ignoring other dogs when she just wants to relax!" She is good with other dogs, not cat tested but we assume she would be fine with cats. Due to her shyness, we recommend older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space. Elsa is medically up to date (will be spayed prior to adoption), pee pad trained, and working on outdoor housebreaking. Apply to meet this darling girl today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! show less

Meet Beryl, a SUPER cute male chihuahua mix puppy! Beryl and his siblings (the Gem litter) were born to mama Crystal on 12/31/2024. Beryl is still a tiny guy and only weighs about 4lbs or so at 10 weeks old! Beryl is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone (dogs, cats, people, and kids)! Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper socialization and training, will grow into wonderful dogs! Thank you for your support and understanding! show less
