Spatula is a puppy whos owners took her to the shelter after their dog had a litter, and sold all the puppies but Spatula. She was taken to an animal control shelter at the age of 6 weeks old. She is now 8 weeks old, and is making her way to New England! She will arrive on 02/18/2023! and Spatula is hoping that she will have the pawfect family waiting for her to arrive! Spatula is an 8 week old lab/ small terrier mix, she is mostly white/cream in color with a cute black button nose. She is very much a baby, just only now being old enough to be away from her mom. Sadly she has been without her mom since the age of 6 weeks. Spatula loves everyone and everything! She adores people, and enjoys the company of dogs cats and kids! Spatula is utd with her age appropriate vaccinations, and medcially cleared for adoption, she is not yet spayed as she is much too young. She is not house broken or crate trained yet. Spatula would make a wonderful addition to most families. Spatula would love a kind, and caring family, who have the patience to train her, and socialize her so she can grow to be the best doggo she can be! We believe spatula will be about 30lbs full grown ******JULY 2023******* Unfortunately Spatula (Tula) was returned back to us. Now at 6 months old, she is again, looking for her furever home. She was returned through NO FAULT OF HER OWN! We were contacted by a CT animal control officer stating that they had Spatula at their facility. We personally tried contacting the owner (by calling and leaving a voicemail, as well as sending her a message on Facebook that was opened but not answered) to find out if she was lost/stolen or surrendered before we reached back out to animal control. Without an answer, we called back animal control to find out the situation. As of and on July 18th, multiple anonymous calls were placed to the animal control officer claiming abuse, neglect, and awful living conditions at the address in which Spatula and her owners lived. Apparently there had been previous calls reguarding neglect prior, but now that there were concerns of abuse, this triggered an investigation by AC. During this 8 day investigation, they were able to substantiate these claims after seeing the home and talking with neighbors/family. Once AC learned of these conditions, their main goal was to get spatula out of there asap. Today spatula was handed over to AC without a struggle/issue and without explanation from owner. Spatula is now 6 months old. She is a female lab mix. She is good with all people, dogs kids, and cats!
