Buddie was an owner surrender, he was only supposed to have 24 hours in an over crowdws animal control center, before he was euthanized for space. Paws Rescue League had NO available foster homes to be able to save him from the shelter. Animal control gave Buddie 2 additional days, they knew he was a wonderful dog, and the volunteers were desprite to find a rescue for him. A new foster applicant applied to foster with Paws Rescue League in order to save Buddie! We were able to save Buddie, get him out of the shelter and into a foster home! The next 24 hours Buddie lavished in his freesdom! He showed his foster parent how grateful he was by snuggling up with her at every chance! Buddie is a large black lab mix, who is about 1 and half years old. He is full of appreciation, and excitement about life! Buddie enjoys whatever activity his people want to do, walking, hiking, swimming, playing wit other dogs or just napping on the couch! Whatever it may be, count Buddie in! Buddie is fully vetted, netuered, HW negative. He is housebroken, crate trained, and loves everyone! He is dog, and kid friendly, we are unsure about cats, as hes not been cat tested. Buddie would make a wonderful addition to almost any family and home. show less

The local Humane Socitety reached out and asked if we could help take these 2 adorable doggos in. Dora and Diego are currently in a loving foster home, and out of the shelter. They will be arriving to New England on 11/12/2022 and will be looking for a New England foster home, or a FURever home! Diego is a 1 year old male Chi/Spitz mix, he is about 10lbs. He is neutered, and medically UTD on all his vetting and monthly preventatives. He is crate trained, and he is pad trained and working on becoming fully house broken. Diego has done very well in his foster home. He is getting accustomed to walking on leash. He is a very sweet little boy who is shy at first but cant wait to be your friend! show less

Duke is a 5 year old male Affenpinscher/yoekie mix, he is about 10lbs and a sweet little dude! He was surrendered to animal control along with his 2 year old friend Bubs. Duke is great with other dogs, loves people, walks well on leash, but really just wants to be on your lap. He is crate trained and housebroken and pad trained. He has been in a foster home with his friend Bubs, and 2 of our bigger dogs Flapjack and Crash. Along with his foster parents 3 little chihuhahs. Duke does well with all size dogs, he did ok during cat tesing, and he is good with kids. We would suggest older kids, 8 years and up who know how to respect a dogs space, since Duke is about 5 years old. He will make a wonderful addition to most families! Alice was picked up by animal control as a stray, placed on a 3 day stray hold. We took her into rescue once her stray hold was up, placed her in a loving foster home in TN, while she was vetted. Not much is known about he past before she came into the shelter. Alice is a young (under 2 years old) Treeing Walker coonhound mixed with either bloodhound or bassett hound ( to get those gorgeous ears!). She is an adorable girl, with the personality to match! She is calm, gentle, and good natured, she is cuddly when shes in the home, but likes to play with toys, and romp around out in the yard and go for adventures so she can smell all the smells! She is a wonderful girl who is good with kids, people, and dogs. She has yet to be cat tested, so we are unsure hoe she would do. She eager to learn and eager to please her people. House trained, crate trained, and fully vetted. She will be arriving in New England on 10/8/22 and is hoping to meet her PAWfect family! Alice would fit well in most homes, coon hound experience is a plus, but not required for Alice. show less

Chica is very sweet, friendly, affectionate, curious, playful, and gets along with everyone, dogs, cats, and kids. She is working on mastering housebreaking, and learning leash walking skills, so she can be the best she can be when she gets to her new home. Gertrude was saved when animal control was called on a person who had a hoarding case with many dogs, Gertrude was 1 of 19 chi mix dogs that were saved that day. Along with the local Humane Society we helped and took in 3 dogs from this case. Gertrude, June and Olivia. All 3 girls are such sweet and lovely ladies. Olivia and June have already found their furever homes! Now its Gertrudes turn to find her happy FURever after! Gertrude is a 5 year young, beagle chi mix. She is on the smaller side, and weighs aobout 20lbs but she had the gorgeous beagle markings! She is said to be a lap dog, she wants to be on her peoples lap when allowed, and she is the perfect little houseguest! She is well behaved, gentle, calm and low energy. Her favorite thing to do is to be near her people and have a little toy to chew on. She is great with other dogs, we expcect she would do well with cats, but we are not certain. She is good with children, we do suggest children 8 years and up as Gertrude is a little older, and toodlers may make her nervous with their energy. She is a slow paced lifestyle kind of southern gal! She would love to have a home of her own for the holidays! show less

Little Man and Skippy came to Paws Rescue League from a local animal control in TN. Both Little man ans Skippy (siblings) were surrendered ( given up) by their owners when they no longer had the time or desire to care for them, after 8 years they gave these two boys up without a thought. They were terrified at the shelter, and we worked to get them out, safe, and into loving foster homes. Little man and Skippy were visibly confused and heartbroken, Little mans foster parents said it was like he was sobbing the first few days with them. Little man and Skippys fosters say they are the absolutley sweetest dogs. They love people, rarely bark (unless they need to potty, they might give a quick bark or two to alert you) They are housebroken, and crate trained, they both adjust quickly to new people and new routines, and they both love to spend their days snoozing. Skippu and Littleman are senior pooches, and are looking for low activity quiet Furever homes! Both Skippy, and Little man weigh roughly 22-24lbs. show less

Yogi is a tan and white 1.5 -2.5 year old male American Bulldog. ( Aka a land hippo). Yogi is a gentle love bug, he has nothing but love to give to his people and loves making doggo friends. Yogi's foster said said he is the sweetest boy youll ever meet, extremtly eager to please, and loves being around his people, snoozing away on the couch, or getting head scratchies, or going for a nice walk. Whatever it is you want to do Yogi is down to join! Yogi was beat up at his foster home, another dog went after Yogi and bit his face and caused some puncture wounds. Yogi did not engage back, or hurt the other dog. Yogi was put on antibiotics and the vet cleaned up his wounds. Yogi will make a wonderful addition to most families, he has no signs of food/toy aggression, hes just a happy squishy boy! We do require breed experince for any potential adopters for Yogi. We also suggest kids 7 years and up, due to his size, and the fact he thinks hes the size of a chihuahua Yogi is great on leash, fully house trained, and crate trained, knows his basic commands. show less

Adam Ant came to us as an owner surrender, his previous owner said her dogs had an accidental litter, all of his siblings were adopted out before we got Adam Ant. The owner told us mom is Shi/Pom, and dad is Yorkie/Chi mix. Adam Ant is just under 3 months old and currently weighs 1.8lbs. We believe he will be between 5-10lbs fully grown. Adam Ant may be itty bitty, but he lets you know he is there! He has a BIG personality! He has come a long way since we took him in. When he arrived at his fostres home, he was scared at first and didnt want to leave the comfort of his crate. We had told the foster to try to build trust with the teeny puppy with some Peanut butter... It worked! And it only took one lick of some PB, and his foster dad was his new best friend! Adam Ant is well socialized with people, his foster takes him to work wiith him most days. Adam gets to run around a gym, and play with everything and everyone! He is only 10/11 weeks old, he is not potty trained yet, we are working on getting him familiar with leash walking. He is crate trained, but of course he rather be with his people. Adam Ant is good with everyone! People, kids, dogs and cats! Woodstock, Linus and Lucy came to us from a dire situation. They were in an outdoor pen with their mother and 4 other puppies, 3 of the puppies had passed away due to lack of food and water, died of starvation. The puppies were trying to nurse from mom, whos milk had dried up due to her starving as well. We were told by the family, that they will be sold or used to breed, and will sell the offspring, like what their intention was to do with Woodstock, Linus, Lucy ( and the 3 who died). Woodstock is a 4 month old Boxer mix, who spent the first 9 weeks of his life in a cage outdoors with his mom and siblings, as his siblings and him slowly starved. Woodstock, Linus and Lucy are the lucky ones, who have been rescued, and we will work tirelessly to find them furever loving homes, where they will never have to worry about not being fed again. They will be loved, and cared for. (Linus and Lucy have both been adopted!). Woodstock is the most gentlest, sweetest little puppy we have ever met (and we have met ALOT). He isnt as rambunctious as most puppies, he is more mellow, calm, and sweet. He LOVES to be around his people, and be close to them. His bad start at life, we are making sure he will have all the love in the world that he deserves. He is special to us because he is a surivor, him and his siblings Linus and Lucy, whom have been adopted already. Woodstock would love to meet you! Woodstock and his siblings are sweet, loving young puppies, who finally being out of that cage have so much to experience in the big world.
