Meet Tinsel, a SUPER cute female chihuahua mix puppy! Tinsel was born to mama Ribbon (rescued from hoarding situation when she was pregnant) on Christmas Day, 12/25/2024. Sadly, Tinsel and her siblings were born premature and Tinsel was the only surviving puppy from the litter. Mama Ribbon's milk never came in, so Tinsel has been raised by her "auntie" Crystal (another chihuahua rescued from the same hoarding situation) and is an honorary member of the Gem litter. Tinsel may be tiny, but she is feisty and has a big spirit! She is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone (dogs, cats, people, and kids)! Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper socialization and training, will grow into wonderful dogs! Tinsel will be available for adoption at our adoption event on 2/23/25 in Dayville, CT. Meet Duck, a super friendly 1.5 year old neutered male Dalmatian/hound mix! He is an expert at using puppy dog eyes to get snackos from his foster family. He weighs about 50 lbs currently but is underweight and needs to fill out a bit (his foster parents are working on this!). Duck is best described as a big LOVE! He was a staff favorite at the animal control facility he was at before being taken into rescue by Paws Rescue League. He loves to cuddle and really enjoys butt scratches and belly rubs! He is a smart boy who already knows some commands like "sit" and "paw" - he is a fast learner and eager to please! He loves to chill out on an assortment of dog beds after playtime with his foster siblings & chomping on squeaky toys. Duck loves other dogs, people, and kids. Meet the Highway 68 litter: Genesis, Livingston, Miller, Lantana, Maryetta, Pomona, and Pevine! While we are unsure of their breed mix, our best guess is some mix of Australian Shepherd and poodle/doodle (or possibly wire terrier) as most of the pups have a wiry coat. Based on their age and current size, we expect them to grow to medium sized dogs. Lantana is a beautiful tri colored female! These sweet babies were found abandoned in a tote bag on the side of the road in East TN when they were just a few days old 😢 They were named after roads in the area and dubbed the Highway 68 litter. Lantana is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. Meet Weaver, a sweet ~8 years young spayed female beagle/shepherd mix, weighing about 30 lbs! Weaver was seen being dumped out of a pick up truck at a car wash in east TN (sadly, dumping/abandoning dogs is very common in this area). She was dumped on a street called Weaver Pike, which is how she got her name. Fortunately for Weaver, she was taken into rescue and is now ready to find her furever home and put her past behind her! Weaver is a sweet, friendly girl who is good with other dogs, people, and kids. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats. From her foster: "Weaver is very sweet and gets along well with other dogs. She has low-medium energy and is a great size pup! She is amazing with house training and her tail never stops wagging!! Meet Ivy, a super cute 2-3 year old spayed female chihuahua! Ivy was rescued from a hoarding case in east TN, and she and 9 other chihuahuas (several of which were pregnant) were taken in by Paws Rescue League. They were in a TN foster home for over a month decompressing and learning to trust people. Ivy is now in a New England foster home and is ready to find her furever home! Ivy is a shy girl and takes time to warm up to new people, so she will need someone who is patient and gentle with her, and who will work with her on continued socialization. Once you earn her trust, she is a very sweet girl! She is good with other dogs, not cat tested but we assume she would be fine with cats. Due to her shyness, we recommend older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space. Ivy is medically up to date, pee pad trained, and working on outdoor housebreaking. Benny and his brother Remie were sadly surrendered by their owner when the owner could no longer care for them (through no fault of the dogs). Benny is a super sweet dog that is good with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. From Benny's current foster: "It’s been two days with Benny and I think his favorite thing is being called a good boy 🥹 He flops on his back as soon you start to pet him and will hold on to your hand with his paws so you don’t stop. He has been very respectful of my 9yo dog who doesn’t have much energy to play and has kept up with the crazy playful dogs he got to meet today. He is housebroken and doesn’t protest the crate too much (though I’m not sure he really needs one). If I was looking for another dog, he would absolutely be staying with me. Meet the Highway 68 litter: Genesis, Livingston, Miller, Lantana, Maryetta, Pomona, and Pevine! While we are unsure of their breed mix, our best guess is some mix of Australian Shepherd and poodle/doodle (or possibly wire terrier) as most of the pups have a wiry coat. Based on their age and current size, we expect them to grow to medium sized dogs. Livingston is a male puppy, he was the runt of the litter. These sweet babies were found abandoned in a tote bag on the side of the road in East TN when they were just a few days old 😢 They were named after roads in the area and dubbed the Highway 68 litter. They are now 8-9 weeks old and ready to find their furever homes! Livingston is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids.
