Dove and Chickadee are 7 week old female Shih tzu/Cairn terrier mixes. They are completely healthy, happy sweet extra fluffy girls who are ready to start their new lives in their PAWfect homes! Dove and Chickadee were born to Momma Birdie. Momma Birdie, Bogey and Mulligan were 3 stray dogs that were picked up by animal control, and thier time was up, All 3 dogs were facing euthanasia. Paws Rescue League Inc rushed to save them from being killed due to space. Once we placed Birdie, Bogey and Mulligan in foster homes, we learned Birdie was heavily pregnant, 2 days later she gave birth to 6 babies, Dove, Pipett, Wren, Sparrow, Chickadee and Finch. The same day Birdies 6 babies were born Mulligan passed away suddenly. We looked for a vet who would do postmordem testing so we could determin the cause of Mulligans passing, unfortunately no Vets in East TN offered this service. We had him cremated privately and gave him a propre goodbye. Due to his sudden passing we decided to have Bogey and Birdie tested for everything, and thoroghly examined by 2 vets. They were both positive for parvo. We now believe Mulligan was a young pup, and the illness was too far for him to survive. We began treating Bogey and Momma Birdie for parvo, they were monitored around the clock, got fluids each day, and we were told not to expect Birdies newborn babies to live. Sadly 2 weeks after they were born Pipitt passed away, 2 days later followed by Wren, a week later Sparrow and Finch passed away. Chickadee and Dove survived! We were heartbroken over the loss of 4 babies, and Mulligan, but so very happy some of her babies made it through, and are now completely healthy happy boucing bundles of joy! Dove and Chickadee are both ready to go to their furever homes next week! We are currently working on matching them with adopters! show less

Bean is an adorable 16 week old beagle/hound mix weighing ~25 lbs who is looking for his furever home! He is medically up to date (not yet neutered), pad trained and working on housebreaking, also crate trained. Bean loves all people and animals including cats! He is a typical happy go lucky puppy who is thrilled to be alive, which is especially appropriate given his rough start in life. This guy has been through a lot in his short life. Dumped as a stray, was found by Animal control when he was 8/9 weeks old, he contracted parvo, and was nearly euthanized due to being sick at the shelter. PRL pulled him from animal control and he was hospitalized for parvo for 3 weeks. Parvo is often a death sentence for young pups, but Bean pulled through! After he was clear and no longer shedding the virus, he was sent home. A few days later he developed an awful case of rickets. The last 3 weeks he’s been on supplements and a good diet to get him strong and straighten his legs out, and Bean is doing fabulously! He arrived in New England on 7/15 and is ready for his happy ever after! show less

Booger, affectionatley called Sugar Booger, was found as a stray and picked up by animal control. He was so scared in aninal control with all the dogs barking and smell of fear. He was very matted, and dirty, and appeared shut down. Paws Resce League inc saved him from the kill shelter, and placed him in a loving foster home. We got him to vet right away, where he was determined to be about 10 -12 months old. He showed us immediately that he is a big love, who has the mildest, sweetest temperament and just wants to be friends with ever doggo and person he meets. He is so far housebroken, well behaved, goof on leash and as sweet as they come! He was groomed by his foster momma and he looks amazing! He will be ready to go to his furever home in the next couple of weeks! How can anyone dump this sweet love? show less

June is a beautiful 4 month old female, she is a basset houdn/husky mix, with the most adorable ears, eyes and nose youve ever seen! She is medically UTD, spayed and ready to find her PAWfect FURever home! She is a sweet and gentle, but still playful young pup! She is crate trained, has some leash training and mostly housebroken, We expect she will have accidents in a new home for the first few days, given her age. She is good with other dogs and all people, not cat tested. June currently weighs 23lbs, we expect her to be about 40-50lbs full grown. came to Paws Rescue League after she was surrendered by her owners to Animal Control. June is a Basset hound/Siberian Husky mix per her previous owners. She was from an accidental litter ( per original owners). June was the only dog they surrendered, so we assume her siblings were sold or given away. show less

Stone was dumped at the shelter with his mom. 2 days later the rest of the litter was dumped at the shelter, Selena, Rasnake, Howell and Nancy. Mom was adopted, and we were asked by the shelter if we can take in the 5 pups. Momma was a hound mix, we believe dad was a bernese mix. We believe these pups will be large breed full grown, around 50 + pounds, is our best guess. show less

Zero and his brother Houdini came to us, from a local animal control. Paws Rescue League Inc, saved them from the shelter. TN allows dogs 3 days to find a new family or rescue before they can euthanize for space. If a dog is dumped by their owners, a dog can have as little as 24 hours to find a new home or rescue. Zero was brought to the shelter with his brother Houdini when their family decided they had too many animals to care for. Zero is just 6 months old, a sweet pup, who is healthy and has his whole life ahead of him. He is a neutered male, he is about 30lbs, we believe he will be about medium sized full grown ( 55 lbs or under). Zero is playful, friendly, curious and eager to please his people. He has an adorable tri colored coat pattern . Zero is good with kids, other dogs, and cats. He is crate trained, walks well on leash, good on car rides, and is house broken ( he may have accidents while learning a new routine or home layout.). Zero is medically up to date on annual vaccines, is 4dx negative, and current on monthly preventatives. Juniper is a 1-2 year old mini shepherd mix. She weighs about 30 lbs and is short and stocky, with the cutest floppy ears and longer hair on her tail, which curls up! Juni is a sweet girl with a wonderful temperment! She is friendly, playful, and loving and is good with other dogs and cats as well. She loves to cuddle up next to you on the couch, and she does a cute thing where she puts her front paws on your chest and does a big stretch. Juni is housebroken and crate trained, she is generally quiet and pretty mellow, making her a low maintenence dog that would fit in with most families! She is lower/medium energy and enjoys short walks and play sessions, but typically tires out pretty quickly and is ready for a nap.
