Momma Barista was saved by Paws Rescue League Inc, the day before Christmas along with a dog she came in with (Ringo). She was HEAVILY pregnant, about to pop! Unfortunately the animal control center was closed for Christmas, as are most places. We were notified that she had delivered 9 babies on the morning of 12/26/23! We had a wonderful volunteer who jumped into action to help get Barista and her 8 surviving babies picked up from the shelter and delivered to her amazing foster momma! We had decided to name the 8 babies after coffee theme, and welcomed Cappuccino, Mocha, Latte Love, Java, Macchiato, Espresso, Chai, and Bean! Barista unfortunately had picked up a bacterial infection, that 2 of the remaining babies caught and their bodies and immune system were too weak to fight off the infection. Latte Luv and Java sadly crossed the rainbow bridge. The remaining 6 babies were seen by the vet, prescribed antibiotics, and their foster mom made sure they got antibiotics 2 times a day to make sure they would survive. Along with constant care, and feedings and plenty of TLC over the course of 6 weeks. The remaining pups fought off the infection, and grew like weeds over the next few weeks in their foster moms careful care! They are now 8 weeks old and have clean bills of health, and are ready to head north to New England to find their furever homes! Bean is a male shepherd/husky mix pup with the most beautiful blue eyes, expected to grow to a medium sized dog. He is crate trained and working on housebreaking. Bean is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone he meets and is eager to learn! Good with all animals and people, and kids. Bean is located in New England and awaiting his furever home! show less

Star and her siblings are super cute lab/terrier mix puppies! They are expected to grow to medium sized dogs. Star is a typical happy, playful pup who loves everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates, with training and consistency they will grow into wonderful dogs. Her CT foster mom says she's almost already potty trained. She loves to eat and cuddle. She doesn't love her crate, but will settle and then go to sleep. She is just so sweet and is going to make someone so happy to adopt her. show less

Miata is a handsome 7-8 month old neutered male catahoula mix, currently weighing about 25 lbs! He appears to be mixed with some type of small/medium terrier. He has a cute curled tail and longer/more coarse hair on his tail and belly. He likely wont get much bigger. Miata has a beautiful, unique coat that is a mix of black Merle and brindle! This little dude is very sweet and playful, he was in a foster home in TN with many dogs of all sizes and he did well with all of them! He is good with people, kids, dogs, and dog savvy cats (although he does try to play with cats, which some cats may not appreciate). He just wants to be friends with everyone! He is mostly housebroken, crate trained, and walks well on leash. A 100% good doggo! From Miata's New England foster: "Miata is a little ray of sunshine, such a very good, sweet, HAPPY boy! He greets everyone in a play bow position, he is always ready to play and make new friends! His tail is always wagging and he is just so happy to be alive. Miata LOVES his people, he will smother you in kisses and then snuggle up next to you or on top of you and gaze at you with such love in his eyes. He loves belly rubs and will flop around and nudge your hand if you stop petting him too soon 😀 He is very food motivated and gets SO excited for meal time, his whole body wiggles with anticipation when I'm getting his food ready. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves to play tug and romp around with his 60 lb foster sister. He also does well with my two dog savvy cats, he will sniff them and try to play with them. He will chase if they run, but he doesn't want to hurt them, he just wants to play. He is a champ in his crate and does fine being crated during the work day, as long as he gets some good play time/exercise/cuddles in when you get home. Miata is a great choice if you're looking for a loving companion that isn't too high maintenance. He is full of love and light and would do well in most homes!" show less

Sally is the sweetest 2 year female spayed lab mix, weighing about 40 lbs. She was saved from the KILL SHELTER in TN in the middle of October 2023. She was heavily pregnant about to burst. Sally gave birth to 11 healthy puppies the next day. Whom we named the Nightmare Before Christmas litter, as they arrived JUST before Halloween, and they would be ready for their FURever homes JUST before Christmas! Sally's puppies were transported to New England in December and all but one of them have already been adopted into loving homes. Now it's mama Sally's turn! Sally is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. She is good with other dogs, kids, and people (not cat tested). She is very very shy and scared at first when meeting new people/new situations. She does not have a mean or aggressive bone in her body, but she has obviously had a very hard past and she needs time to feel safe. She is a super sweet, loving dog, but so scared. Sally needs a gentle and patient human who will allow her time to decompress and learn to trust. She is worth the wait! From Sally's CT foster mom: "Sally is the sweetest girl once she warms up to you! She gets so excited to see me when I first wake up. She gets tippy taps for food and treats and she has full body wiggles! She does hide under the bed and gets spooked quite easily. PRL has placed these sweet boys in loving foster homes, where they will be fully vetted and neutered before heading to New England to find their furever homes! She was DNA tested and is 50% border collie/50% GSD (both parents were full bred dogs). They produced a pup who looks like a little bear cub, hence the name Boo Boo! 🐻 She is expected to grow to a medium sized dog. Boo Boo is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! She is highly active and has a lot of energy. She would do best in a home with another young dog that she could play with. Dolly is a pretty girl with the Dudley lab coloring (pink/light colored nose and eye rims, and light brown eyes). She is a goofy, fun, excitable gal who is very food motivated, which makes training easy! She is quite smart, and has learned "sit", "down", "wait", and "come" while in her CT foster home. She also walks well on leash. Dolly is extremely friendly and kind with all people and other dogs. She has not been cat tested, but she does have a high prey drive and chases squirrels and small birds. Dolly loves kids, however, due to her size and excitability, we do not recommend children under 8, as she may unintentionally knock over a small child. She would love an active family or a family with another dog. From Dolly's Connecticut foster mom: "She LOVES toys and loves to play! She is toy and food motivated and loves all dogs and all people.
