Chamomile is one of 14 puppies from the Herb Litter. Born to Momma Sage on 10/12/2022 in New England! Momma Sage is a Doberman mix, she is on the thinner/sleeker size, and weighs about 45lbs. We saved Sage when we were called about a Dog dumped on someones property. We were able to find a foster placement for her, and get her to the vet and healthy, unfortunately Sage was heavily pregnant, and would be having her puppies within 3 weeks. We sent her to New England, where 3 weeks later she gave birth to 14 beautiful babies! 12 were born over the course of 10 hours, 2 hours after she seem done, she had her last 2 suprizes! Chamomile is one of the 7 female puppies, she is grey and white in color and gorgeous blue eyes, her looks are goergous, and a personality to match!. Being part border collie, she will be on the higher energy side and need a family who can keep up with her and work on her training when she is old enough. . Chamomile (Cammie) is such a happy go lucky puppy, she loves everyone (especailly her people, and kids), great with other dogs and cats. We believe she will be about 40lbs full grown. She is very smart, and knows how to sit on command. She already is learning her name and responds when you say "Cammie!" She loves to play with toys, and she shares very well. She is currently 12 weeks old, and ready to find her new FURever home. show less

Sam, Dean and Rowena came to Paws Rescue League, from a (Tennessee )local animal control, the 3 of them were picked up as strays and placed on a stray hold. Once no owners came to claim them, someone needs to adopt them or a rescue needs to take them. East TN is rampart with unwanted dogs, and animals who are not Spayed/Neutered, it has become so out of hand, there are more than 2 dozen resuces that put in great effort to save these dogs lives, with rescues effort and animal controls helping each other save these dogs, euthanasia rates have dropped, which is wonderful. But until the LAWS change, to keep animals safe, and hold people accountable, there will continue to be dogs in need. Sam is about 17 lbs, 1-2 years old, he is full grown, and will not get any larger, he is a mix bettween small terrier dog, and dachshund dog. He is a little shy at first, the shiest out of the 3, but warms up quickly and loves his people, he is good with other dogs, kids and tested ok with cats,( he showed some interest in wanting to investigae). He is housebroken, but will have accidents the first day or two while learning his new routine. Sam would love a family of his own show less

Sassy is the sole puppy that Momma Sissy delivered. Sadly on December 7th momma Sissy went into labor, delivered little Sassy, but had a hard time delivering baby #2. We rushed her to the vet, and the vet did all they could do get the baby out and keep momma safe. Unforrunately baby #2 did not make it. Sassy is so small and young that it would of been near impossible for her to deliver that 2nd baby. Becasue she was only pregnant with 2 puppies, they were able to grow large in utero ( more space to grow), which is always a concern for small breed dogs. Sassys momma Sissy, is roughly 8lbs, a teny tiny Chihuhahua. We are not 100% certain what Sassy is mixed with but our best educated guesses are Pug, or Boston mix, Sassy we believe will grow to be a little bigger than mom, but we believe she will be under 20lbs full grown. Sassy got her name, because the moment she came out she was described by her foster mom as very Sassy! She has a beautiful brindle coat, and a smooshed face, and big eyes, and just the cutest little thing! Sassy is currently about 5 weeks old. She is able to go to her FURever home the last week of January. We are now taking applications on this adorable little gal! show less

Monty came to Paws Rescue League Inc. as an owner surrender. They were no longer able to care for him. Monty is a standard poodle, who is about 2 years old and weights 51 lbs. He is a silly boy, who loves his people. He is housebroken, and he has been working on crate training since he entered rescue. He does well on leash, and ok in the car. He is good with people, and kids, we do suggest older kids, as he is a big dog, and still young. He could easily knock a small child over unintentionally. He is good with other dogs. He should meet new doggo friends with a proper intro. He has not been cat tested yet so we are unsure how he would do with cats. Hes a good boy, and very smart ( as poodles are). He will need a family who has breed experience, and a fenced in back yard is prefered. Monty is neuterd, HW negative, and medically up to date. show less

Darrell came to Paws Rescue League Inc as a stray. He was picked up by a local animal control, and placed on a 3 day stray hold. This particular animal control DOES euthanize ( put dogs to sleep) for space. This is the main shelter we save dogs from, as they have very little time and are facing possible euthanasia. Darrell is a sweet, Cairn terrier/yorkie terrier mix, he is about 10lbs, and is between 1-2 years old. He will not get any larger than he is now. We do not know if he is hypoallergenic, he was a stray so we can only give our best guestimate on his breed mix. Darrell is housebroken and pee pad trained, he is ok on a leash, enjoys car rides, loves to be near his people. He would love a home where he can cuddle on a warm lap. Darrell is good with dogs, cats and kids. show less

She was placed in a foster home, and we have had her vetted and now she is on her way to New England to find her happy FURver after, Leia is a gorgous fawn colored pooch with stunning blue eyes. One look at her and she metls your heart. How someone could dump this precious girl is mind boggling to us, Leia is about 9 weeks old now, she will grow to be about 40/50lbs when full grown. she LOVES everyone she meets, kids, people,dogs, cats! Winter and Eve were found as strays wondering the country side. They were at animal control on a 3 day stray hold (after 3 days the dogs can be euthanized for space) The 3 days allows an owner to come and claim the dog, or for someone to adopt the dog, or a rescue to save them. Winter and Eve were horribly matted, so badly so they were labled as Shih Tsus mixes. Once we got them into a loving foster home, we got them cleaned up, and had a groomer come by and salvage of the two girls hair. Once they had their haircut and groomed it was clear they are Schnauzer mixed. With Winter most likely mini Schnauzer/Bichon mix. Winter is a very sweet dog, her foster says she makes a wonderful lap dog, She loves to be with her people, she will cry when you leave her, but she has been getting better and better. Winter is good with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, she is good with kids, but we do suggest kids 8 years and up who can respect a dogs space. We have not cat tested Winter yet but we believe she would do fine with feline friends. She is fully housebroken, She is about 21lbs, and has a beautiful white coat of hair. There near the road and someones property were 5 starving puppies, a 6th puppy was found screaming in pain in a bush a few feet away. This little family of 6 siblings were discarded like trash on December 30th 2022. In the bitter cold, little 8 week old babies, who just stopped nursing, were deemed garbage by their owners. How awful calous, and heartless some people are, its sickening. Sadly this happens ALL the time in TN and other southern states where animal protection laws do nothing to protect innocent animals. We could go on about what is deemed acceptable in these areas when it comes to providing food, and shelter for pets but we'll save that for another day for now. Paddi, a beautiful, now 10.5 week old American staffy mix, with a gorgous blue coat, with white chest, and white socks! She is a typical puppy, she is practicing housebreaking, and leash walking, and crate training. She is still very much a very young pup, with her whole life ahead of her! She is good with all people, despite what her previous owner did to her and her siblings, she is good with all dogs, and cats. She will grow to be a med- large sized dog. She would do well in most homes, who are willing to put the time and effort in to training a puppy. She would LOVE a back yard of her own, and some fur siblings to play with! The 2nd week of January, Padma and Pia suffered from a prolapsed colon, they were so full of worms, after they were de wormed, their tiny tummies were so stuffed up, straining to pottying led to the prolapses. Both Padma and Pia have had surgery to correct it. Pia, a beautiful, now 10.5 week old American staffy mix, with a gorgous brindle and white toes! She is a typical puppy, she is practicing housebreaking, and leash walking, and crate training. She is still very much a very young pup, with her whole life ahead of her! Amelia is a 1 year old pointer who weighs about 45lbs. She was picked up as a stray and taken to a local animal control facility. We took her into our rescue, and she has been in foster the last few weeks. Amelia is spayed, HW negative/4DX negative, she is medically up to date. Her foster parents describer her as a wonderfully, sweet, loving and affectionate girl. She is good with everyone, dogs, kids, people and even cats! Amelia is a wonderful house guest, with great indoor manners. She si food motivated, and eager to learn more! She is at a great age, where she is passed the young puppy stage, but young enough to pick up on new routines, and training quickly. Amelia is housebroken, she uses a doggy door, and does all her potty out side. She has not had any accidnets in the house. Amelia would do well in most homes/families. She is still young, and active, so a younger, more active family would be ideal for her. Amelia will make a lucky family very happy! (Said to be the absolute sweetest dog) very dog, and kid friendly. (We suggest older kids who understand giving dogs space since he is blind in one eye). Fully vetted, spayed, UTD on all preventatives and vaccines. 4DX (HW, and other tick borne illness - negative). Walks good on leash. Housebroken (may have accidents the first few days until learns the new routine). Crate trained. From one foster: "He is the most sweetest fellow full of love and kisses. We had the pleasure of spending 9 days fostering him and he was such a sweetheart!" and also: "He is such a good natured dog who loves to be around people. He is so easy going and is happy to just sit on couch and get his belly rubbed. Brooklynn, Noah and Kathrynn came to Paws Rescue League Inc, when another Non Profit Charity organization called "Chain Free Greenevill TN", whos mission is to prevent dogs from being chained up outside, and build fences/yards for the communities dogs that are tied up. Occassionally while they are out there helping, they are asked to take dogs that are no longer wanted. Some times they stumble on horrific scenes. That was the case for Noah, Kathrynn and Brooklynn, they were in a shed starving to death, and had their dead litter mates around them. Chain Free got them out of that situation and reached out to Paws Rescue League and asked if we had space to take them in to rescue. We took them in, placed them in a loving foster home, and got them fully vetted. They have now been with us for about 6-7 weeks, and they are now ready to head to New England and find their FURever homes. Brooklynn is a 6 month old, austrailian shepard, austrailian cattle dog mix, who is now a happy, healthy and loving puppy! She is potty trained with a dog door, and is crate trained, and learning to walk on leash. show less

Moose came to Paws Rescue League when animal control was called on an individual who had many dogs, who were not getting the care they needed, and were all living outside. Animal control asked the owner to surrender the dogs. 8 dogs were signed over, Hudson, Sheldon, and Moose are 3 of the 8 PRL agreeed to take in. Thankfully the Humane Society took in a few, and the remaining dogs were adopted! Moose is a sweet boy, he is believed to be a golden/doodle mix. He is a very handsom boy! He is estimated to be about 2 years old, and weighs about 45lbs. He is friendly, good with other dogs, kids and people, has not been cat tested yet. Moose loves the water and the mud! He also loves to cuddle! Moose has been in foster with many other dogs, and has spent time at doggy day care while he was in foster in TN, He would love to finally had a family of his own who will let him live inside and be part of the family. Which is something his prior owner never gave him. January 2023 Moose (Bailey) has been returned to the rescue. He is a very loveable dog. He walks well on a leash and is crate trained. He loooves to give love and kisses. He has been called Bailey by his previous owner and will respond to Bailey. Moose needs an adopter who is patient and is able to give him the training he needs. A confident owner with experience in anxiety in dogs is a preference- or an owner who is willing to provide the training he needs. He has some nervousness around cars outside and will also need to help with his potty training (due to the anxiety of things outside) as well as has some resource guarding with food. Moose is great with people as long as a proper introduction is done! A home with older children will be best for Moose until he learned to get over his fears. Moose is currently in a foster home with Paws Rescue League. We will continue updating his biography as we collect more information as well as see how he grows! Roselle was found as a stray by a local animal control. After her stray hold were asked by humane society if we could take her in, We agreed to take her into our rescue. Once we finalized the paperwork we were told that her owners found her and were going to pick her up, 24 hours later they decided to call and give her up instead. This sweet, adorable little girl was not worth the trip to the shelter to pick her up. Thankfully she is now in our care, safe in her foster families home while she awaits her FREEDOM ride up North! Roselle arrives in New England on 01/21/2023! She is currently looking for a FURever family or a New England foster home. Roselle is a chihuahua mix, she currently weighs 10lbs, and being 10 months old we dont antiipate her gaining more than another 3-5lbs, if that. Roselle is good with dogs of all sizes good with cats, and children and people. She is the sweetest girl according to her foster family. Thalia came to us, when the owner put our a plea for help with a momma dog, and 8 puppies, who they did not want. When we arrived to the scene, Thalia (momma), was tied up with a chain and a padlock to a panel of fencing, on the outside of the yard, so. she was not protected inside a fence. The 8 puppies, some people had already came and took 2 of them. The reamining 6 puppies were free raoming, near a road, in the drive way, and some huddled up under some cars, wrapped up to try and keep warm. These puppies were saved just adter the bitter cold week, where temperatures in we the negative tens, -10 windchill. These 8 puppies sleeping on a hard dirty gound, under cars for warmth and cover while momma was chained up with a pad lock. Both Thalia and the puppies were all very underweight. No food or water bowl were seen at the site the dogs were rescued from. We took Thalia and the 6 puppies, placed them in foster home, where we worked on getting them all to healthy weights, and into the vet to make sure they are all healthy and recieve vet care. Thalias foster family say she is such a sweet loving girl, with an easy temperament, She shows every day how grateful she is to be out of the awful life she was living before rescue. We beleive Thalia is a mix of German Shepard and Collie, people breed these two breeds to make " Mini German shepards" while theyre not a breed, sadily people cross breed dogs to try and make money off of back yard breeding. Thalia is good with other dogs, great with kids and people, the foster mom has 4 grandchildren who visit daily and interact with Thalia and her babies. Thalis ia fully house broken, crate trained, walks well on leash. Her foster parents cant say enough wonderful things about her! Thalia is spayed, and HW negative, and UTD on all her vaccines and vetting, She arrives in New England on 01/21/2023 and is excited to meet her FURever family who will never chain her up to a fence outside again. show less

Tot is a male 11 week old small shepard/pug mix. We were told by the owner of Thalia and puppies that a pug mix was the dad of the puppies. We believe most of the 6 puppies will be small to medium in size. Mom Thalia is about 40lbs, and we expect the puppies to be under that weight when fully grown. This is an estimate based off mom, and dad, and the puppies current size ( this is not a gaurantee they will all be under 40lbs). Thain is light brown brinde, with a small white stripe of fur on his head and an adorable smoosh face! He is working on house breaking, and crate training. They are all young puppie and just now starting to discover what its like to be a dog, and not in survival mode. Tot ( and siblings) would do well in most homes, as they are young puppies, who like small kids, take in everything you teach them. They will need adopters who have time to train and bond with a new puppy. Tot will be arriving in New England on 01/21/2023 and is excited to start his new life with a loving family. How awful calous, and heartless some people are, its sickening. Sadly this happens ALL the time in TN and other southern states where animal protection laws do nothing to protect innocent animals. We could go on about what is deemed acceptable in these areas when it comes to providing food, and shelter for pets but we'll save that for another day for now. Packo, a beautiful, now 10.5 week old American staffy mix, with a gorgous tan coat, with white chest, and white socks! He is a typical puppy, he is practicing housebreaking, and leash walking, and crate training. Packo is still very much a very young pup, with his whole life ahead of him! He is good with all people, despite what his previous owner did to him and his siblings, he is good with all dogs, and cats. Packo will grow to be a med- large sized dog. He would do well in most homes, who are willing to put the time and effort in to training a puppy. He would LOVE a back yard of his own, and some fur siblings to play with! Rufio was dumped along with 9 other dogs, 8 small dogs and one large dog just days before Christmas. He was dumped by his owners late at night in negative degree weather. 4 of the dumped dogs were xolo mixes, for those that dont know a Xolo is a hairless dog, that does not much fur or hair to insulate them and keep them warm. 5 of the other dogs were Chihuhas. Paws Rescue League Inc, and anothr rescue stepped in right away to save these little dogs from freezing to death in the extreme cold chill that swept through TN, then made its way to New England around Christmas time. Who can do that to 10 helpless dogs? Before the holidays? In arctic tempatures? We just will never understand what drives people to do awful things. We are thankful for the communties calls to us, so these precious lives could be saved. Rufio is a 2 year old male Xolo/Chi mix, he is super cute! And loves to be near his people, he does well with other dogs, good with kids and ok with cats. He is a precious litte guy. Note from Rufio's foster mom "Rufio is a chill and relaxed boy, he prefers to spend most of his time curled up on your lap or under his blanket (how ADORABLE), He has zero aggression of any kind. He shares well, doesnt know what a toy is. He can be nervous, and tuck his tail when meeting other dogs, but he likes to watch them, and you can see he is curious and interested. He is ok on leash with a harness, and he is crate trained and house broken. He occasionally will cry in the crate but a clap of the hands or a quick "no" or "quiet" he settles right down. We believe Rufio is Trixies Dad, and dad of Momma Mias pups. show less
