**This dog is eligible for the April Adopt-a-Thon promo! Listed adoption fee will be reduced by $200 for all eligible dogs adopted by 4/30/25.** Meet Drake, a 9 week old male mixed breed puppy! Drake is one of the D litter pups (Drake, Daisy, Darcy, Duchess, Dominick, and Demeter), born on 1/31/25. Sadly, their mom was hit by a car and killed when they were just 4 days old 😢 We think they are mixed with some kind of hound, and we expect them to grow to medium sized dogs. Drake is a typical happy, friendly puppy who loves everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs. From his current foster: "Looking for a puppy who’s confident, playful, and full of love and adventure?! Meet Drake, an adorable 9-week-old puppy with the silliest personality! He is happy, excitable, eager to learn, and loving! He has shown confidence and expected puppy submissiveness when interacting with other dogs! As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
