Scrooge and his siblings are the babies of Mama Holiday (pictures of her here), a beautiful, sweet bluenose pitbull mix. Holiday is a small girl (~45 lbs) and we do not expect these babies to get much bigger. Holiday was dumped at animal control heavily pregnant, and we took her in. She delivered 8 beautiful babies, who we named the Holiday Puppies litter (Christmas Theme). We do not know what dad was, but considering some of the puppies have curly long hair, he could have been a poodle. Scrooge has the most adorable curly fur and sweet eyes. He is a typical puppy who loves to play, sleep and snuggle. Scrooge and his siblings are available for adoption, and are being loved in their New England foster homes. Blaine is a 4 month old neutered male Bulldog/Border collie mix, weighing about 17 lbs. His siblings Boston, Burton, and Boone made their freedom ride to New England in October and were all adopted, but Blaine had to be held back in TN due to some medical issues. He was born with a large hernia and was very anemic, so we needed to wait for the anemia to resolve before he could get surgery for the hernia. Luckily, Blaine got strong and healthy and is no longer anemic, so we got him the surgery to fix the hernia and he was neutered at the same time. This sweet boy is now ready to come up to New England to find his furever home, just like his siblings have already done! Blaine is a very very sweet boy and his TN foster family absolutely adores him. He is good with other dogs and people/kids, crate trained, and working on mastering housebreaking. Meet Mama Mia, a 1 year old beagle mix, weighing about 35 lbs. Mia is mom to the 7 Italian litter pups (Ciao, Amico, Tutto, Grazie, Notte, Bella, and Amore). She was pregnant and starving when she and dad were taken in by animal control. Now her babies are done nursing and she is ready to find her furever home! Mia is a very loving, affectionate girl who loves to snuggle and be close to her people. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She is good with other dogs of all sizes, cats, people, and kids. She can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly! Tank did not have the best life starting out. Tank found himself at animal control on the euthanisia list. He was EXTERMELY emaciated. His collar had grown into his neck and he had infected wounds ALL OVER HIS BODY :( He had a skin infection and was covered in fleas and ticks. Tank was COMPLETELY and UTTERLY neglected. Only being 2.5 years old, he may have lived his whole life this way. We can tell you he will never have to go hungry again, he will never again know what it feels like to have an empty bowl, or to experience hunger pains. He will never again live with owners who lock him up and forget about him. He will never again be left outside like a lawn ornament or worse, like trash. He will never again spend his days alone, longing for human interaction. After 3 weeks of TLC, he is a whole different dog! He truly just wanted to be loved and cared for. Tank just wants a chance to show you that he is WORTH saving. Tank's New England foster describes him as a sweet couch potato who is adjusting so well, and is very deserving of his own family. Harold is good with people, dogs, and kids. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. Harold's CT foster mama says this about him: "Harold is such a sweet little boy! Loves to snuggle, chase snow balls/snowflakes (the weather does not bother him), and will dance for a treat. Will alert you when someone is in the driveway (this is the fault of my big babies) he is very much into being one of the big kids. Loves kids. No issues with being crated at night, no accidents since being here learned the routine rather quickly. Was little disgusted when we shoveled him an area in the snow, he decided that the snow on his belly felt good and laying in front of the wood stove is quite pleasant.
