Zink came to Paws Rescue League Inc, as a stray, he was originally in an animal control shelter, hoping someone would adopt him, but someone didn't come, and his time was running out. We took him out of the shelter and placed him in a loving foster home, while he was fully vetted, and waited for his freedom ride to New England! Zink found a new family and was renamed Goose. Unfortunately, they can no longer keep him. He is looking for a FURever home or a temporary foster home, while he awaits his PAWfect people to find him! Zink is a Lab/Boxer mix, or a Boxador as some may call the mix, he is a sweet boy who is about 3 years old. He would be fantastic for almost any home. As long as a proper introduction is done, he gets along with most dogs. Due to his large size, we recommend a home without small children. He is a very sweet lovable dog, who is older and through all the puppy years. He is hoping to find a lovely home where he can spend the rest of his life being part of the family! Zink is about 80lbs, has the cutest little stubby tail, and an adorable smile! Zink is crate trained, housebroken, does well in the car, and good on leash with a harness. Darla was found by a good citizen, and a large attempt to find her owners, as she was heavily pregnant and struggling to survive on her own. She was taken into a home, while a large search was made to find her people. 2 weeks passed, and still no sign of her owners. On September 30th 2023, Darla went into labor and delivered 11 babies. Sadly on 10/01/2023, one puppy passed away, and on 10/02/2023 a 2nd puppy passed away. We beleive the 2 babies passed away due to a strong antibiotic the vets had put Darla on. We made the decision to stop allowing the puppies to nurse from mom. Since 10/02/2023, the puppies have all been doing well, and no more have passed since. The C litter, ( Darlas babies) are now 1 week, and 1 day old. Her babies will be available for adoption once they are 8 weeks old. Darla is a wonderfully sweet Treeing walker coonhound with a wonderful temperament. She adores kids, her people and other dogs. show less

Hank is a chihuahua mix, and wont get much larger, maybe another 5lbs or so, when he is full grown. he could also end up staying about 11lbs. He is slighlty smaller than Henri. Hank is a love bug who likes to be held, and lay on your lap and get belly rubs, and to play with his brother Henri. Hank is good with kids, people and other dogs, he has not been cat tested. He is looking for a FURever home in New England. About their history : Henri, Hank and Fiona came into rescue when we were contacted by volunteers at animal control. Animal Control was so full these 3 sweet hearts were going to be euthanized on the spot. Their owners came and dumped them, usually an owner surrendered dog is given 24 hours for an adopter or rescue to come get them. But due to the over crowding of Animal Control all 3 were to be euthanized. An amazing volunteer called us IMMEDIATELY and we got all 3 of them out and into a loving foster home. We found out Fiona is pregnant, and only had a couple weeks until she would go into labor, we are now expecting her to deliver anytime. show less

Carmela is a 20 month old female terrier mix, who was found as a stray, at 15 weeks old. She was at Animal Control with only a couple days before she would be euthanized for space. Paws Rescue League Inc, took her into our rescue, and placed her into a loving foster home. We immediately realized this sweet girl was very sick, and not eating. We brought her to the vet where she tested positive for the terrible disease Parvovirus. Carmela was hospitalized for a week while she fought for her life a THIRD time in her VERY young life! She survived being tossed out on the street like trash, she survived being at the kill shelter, and she now survived Parvo! This AMAZING girl has beat the odds stacked against her, with the love and care provided to her by our amazing volunteers, and parterning Vets in TN! Carmela is now looking for a FURever family, where she can live the life she deserves, surrounded by people who love her! She is an INCREDBILE dog, who is sweet, loving temperament, who gets along with dogs, cats, children and all people. She would make a wonderful addition to most families! She is mostly housebroken, she may have an accidnet the first day or two when adjusting to a new environment, and routine. She is also crate trained, and knows a few basic commands. Her foster parents, and other volunteers, and vet staff who treated her parvo, only have amazing things to say, about how sweet, gentle, loving this darling is! Now that she has fully recovered, and is completely heathy and ready for a home, she is looking forward to finding her FAMILY! Carmela is not yet fixed, but will be paid for by Paws Rescue League Inc.
