Gideon, Freeway, and Thimble came from a breeding mill. They are Toy Australian Shepards, (about the size of a pomeranian).  They were covered in feces and urine, their skin fur was stained from being locked in pens, and having to stand and live in their own waste. We were asked to help and take them in to our foster based rescue so they could be cared for, vetted and learn to live in a home, and not just be a tool to breed Toy Australian Shepards.   Gideon is a 3-4 year old male, who weighs about 10lbs, with a beautiful black and white fluffy coat of fur! They are NOT hypoallergenic dogs.  Gideon is timid and shy, but warms up to his new people quickly. His foster mom says he loves belly rubs.  Gideon and Thimble are very close to one another, and Thimble cries if she isn't able to see Gideon. We have been working on that with Thimble.   Gideon is full grown, he will not get any larger, he is practicing what its like to be a dog, and live in a home instead of a cage. He is practicing leash walking, house breaking, positive crate association (becasue they were locked in crates, we are teaching them crates are ok).  Due to thier past, and Gideons age we suggest children 10 years and up. Gideon is good with other dogs, and warms up to people after a few days. He is NOT cat tested so we are unsure how he would do with cats.  Gideon arrives in New England on 03/18/2023 and is in NEED of a FURever home or a foster home asap! show less

**PLEASE READ HER FULL DESCRIPTION AND ONLY APPLY IF YOU CAN MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS.** Hellen is a 12 week old female Chewenie ( Chihuahua/Dachsund mix), she was born deaf, and mostly blind. Due to her genetics, she's has what is called the "double merle (heterozygous) gene'. Double merle is most common in Australlian Shepards, Collies, Catahoula Leopard dogs, Shetlands, and Dachsunds, but has been seen in other breeds as well. Dogs with a double merle gene are typically white in color, most times having pale blue eyes or pale green eyes. This gene often times affect dogs hearing, most dogs born double merle are partially deaf or fully deaf. It can also affect the appearance of their eyes and vision, sometimes dogs with the double merle gene are born blind, or near blind .  In Hellens case, it has affected her coat, she is mostly white, with a bit or merle dappling on her back. Hellen was born totally deaf. She has 2 pale blue eyes and is mostly blind, she had red pupils. Right now she is able to see some shadows, and see shadow movement, but the vets beleive that she will loose that vision as time goes on. The double merle gene can aslo cause more issues with dogs eyes, which sadly Hellen has inhereted ALL the possibilites of double merle. She has a diluted (white) coat, deaf, mostly blind, and has both microphthalmia ( small eyes), and corectopia (off centered pupils). Her pupils will always be different shaped and off center, and due to the microphthalmia her eyes won't grow with her. As she grows her eyes will stay smaller, her eyes lids may completely cover her eyes in the future, and or may need to be removed some day.  She is able to see shadows, and sense movements near her. Hellen loves to be near, and touching her people, or another dog. She is friendly with everyone. Although when on her persons lap, she prefers to be the only dog on your lap and will growl at others. We do suggest older children, only because of her disabilities, we feel that older children who can understand her disabilities and limitations would be best for Hellen. Hellen is NOT aware of how close others are to her and can get injured easily. An adopter with experience with very small dogs, special needs dogs, and/or deaf and/or blind dogs would be prefered.  Hellen needs to be touching someone at most times, she does not like being left alone, someone who works from home or can bring her to work with her is needed. She can't see well or hear where you( or animals) are, she gets scared, and will cry and scream, she can get hurt very easily.  We recommend a home with no large dogs or cats. Hellen only weighs 1.11lbs, and due to her being deaf and mostly blind puts her at greater risk of getting hurt or lost.  Aside from her disabilities, Hellen is perfectly able! She is a typical playful puppy who is eager to learn about the world around her as long as youre RIGHT there with her.! She just needs a wonderful family who will love her and care for her, and meet all of her needs. She doesnt take any medication at the moment, or require any special tools. She will just learn a little differently than other puppies, and need lots of closeness to her people. She will need to learn through touch, and/or vibration. Hellen is medically up to date, spayed, and on monthly preventatives. She is not fully house broken, she does use a pad but you have to bring her to the pad, she is NOT crate trained, she does ok on a leash when in a familiar area. She tires quickly and takes many lap naps through out the day.  We believe Hellen will be no more then 5lbs fully grown. Check out her YOUTUBE link: https://youtu.be/d723zkpqwXI   show less

Emily, Monica, Emma, Rachel and Janice were being given away by their owner "free to homes", the owner stated they were going to put them in a box and drop the box off at Walmart. We had one of our volunteers go see the puppies and ask about mom, so we could ask to spay her to prevent future unwanted puppies. We were told mom wasn't available for us to fix. We asked to take in the remaining 5 puppies (originally there were 8), the boys were already given away. We took the 5 females who were left. All the puppies looked healthy aside from wormy bellies and not eating nutritious food. Except for Janice, we noticed her face was swollen, and we took the family of 5 puppy sisters and got them to the vet right away.  Emily got a clean bill of health, and received all of her vaccines, and has been cleared for adoption. Janice sadly has developed painful puppy stragles, and dermititus, which she surely would never have made it without medical care.  Emily is a sweet playful little girl, who is adorable, and will quickly make everyone who meets her fall on love, she has an almost solid black coat, and the cutest little face and ears!  Emily  is good with everyone! We believe she will only be about 30-40lbs full grown, She would fit in most homes, and make a perfect addition. She is hoping she has a family waiting for her when she arrives to New England on 02/18/2023! show less

Fawks is a 18 week old male Louisianna Catahola Leopard Dog. Fawks has a beautiful red merle coat, with blue eyes. Catahoulas are active dogs, and would do best in a home where their owners like to go for walks, and/or hikes, a nice large fenced in yard to run around and play in. Fenyx and Fawks came to us when a local Humane Society called us and asked if we could take in 2 puppies, whose owners wanted to surrender them to an already over crowded animal control. Animal Controls in the area we save dogs from are kill shelters. Stay dogs are given 3 days, for their owner to be found, or to get adopted or saved by a rescue. Owner surrenders by law are given 24 hours to find an adopter or a rescue to save them. The Humane Society refered the owner to us, to take in the 2 puppies. The day we took them in both Fenyx and Fawks were not feeling good, and we took them to an emergency vet for testing. Both were negative for parvo, and other serious illness, but did have worms, which we treated.   Fawks is not yet fully house broken but has been doing fantasic in his training, he is good on leash, and crate trained, Fawks is good with other dogs, and great with people and kids. He has not been cat tested so we are unsure how he would do with cats.  Fenyx and Fawks have had all their age appropriate vetting, and vaccinations and are making their way to New England on 03/17/2023, they will arrive on 03/18/2023 and are in need of a FURever home, or a temporary Foster home! show less

The Batman Villian girls (beautiful Husky mix pups), were being given away on Craigslist. Their owners no longer wanted them, an accidental litter is what they said. Our foster volunteer went to pick them up, and the 3 girls were infested with fleas, and very dirty, wormy, and appeared to be kept in a small area from the urine stains on them,  Our volunteer got them home, got them bathed in dawn 3 times, and combed out as many fleas as possible. The 3 girls were treated for fleas, and worms, and saw a vet to receive age appropriate vetting and vaccines.    Harley Quinn is a gorgeous white husky with tear stain markings, or clown markings on her eyes, whch are very unique and striking to look at! Harley is a 3 month old female husky mix, maybe mixed with australian shepard. She is healthy and ready to find her FURever home! She is currently under 15lbs, but will be a medium to large breed when full grown, with high energy. Breed experience is prefered, a fenced yard is a must for these 3 female pups, due to their breed mix, physical and mental stimulation are very important for their development long term.  Harley is working on housebreaking and doing great, she is crate trained and good on leash! She loves all other dogs, is ok with dog savvy cats, and good with kids!  If you think your family and home would be a good match please submit an application! Spaghetti is one of the 6 Pasta puppies born to Momma Mia on January 2nd 2023! Her mom ( Momma Mia ) is a Chihuahua mix, and dad we belive is Rufio, who is a Xolo mix ( Mexcian Hairless Dog).    Spaghetti is a typical 8 week old puppy, he is just now ready to leave his mom and siblings and find her new Furever family! Being a Chi/Xolo mix he will likely grow to be around 15lbs full grown. He is a small breed dog, he would do well in most homes, as long as his new family understands the dangers small breeds face. At 8 weeks he currently weighs about 2lbs, he can easily be trampled by large breed dogs, or children. He can NOT be left alone outside, or off leash. With Spring approaching, hawks and predetor birds will be out in more abundance, and a small 2lbs dog looks like a rodent to them, and the danger of them being swooped up by a hawk is real.  Spaghetti is a happy boyl, who is learning about the world and needs a family who has the time to work with a train a brand new pup! He is good with everyone! He was born while in a loving foster home. Spaghettii and his siblings have only ever understood love, and care and are well rounded pups who have been socialized with their ( we belive are their cousins) Faith and Shiloh (who were born to Momma Merci).  Momma Mia and Momma Merci had their puppies 1 day apart.  Momma Mia and Momma Merci ( 2 heavily pregnant Chihuahuas) were saved along with Rufio, Trixie and Sassie ( all Chi and Xolo mixes) just befrore Christmas 2022. We were called when someone drove to a trailer park and opened their car door and let 10 little dogs loose and drove away. We spent the next 3 days trying to catch them and work with other resuces to help take some of the other dogs in. Paws Rescue League Inc. saved 5 of the 10 dogs, and the other 5 dogs went to 2 other rescues.  show less

Snoop is a 2 year old Black Mouth Cur/ Lab mix!  She got her name, becasue she was at a kill shelter, running out of time before the rescue took her in. Her foster family called her Snoop. She is such a sweet, laid back and loving girl. She is a bit of a goofball and will make you laugh! She is good with kids, cats, and other dogs! Snoop is potty trained and also crate trained. Her southern foster has told us she would absolutely be a "foster fail".   Statement from the southern foster "Snoop would definetly be a foster fail for me, if I didnt alreay have 4 dogs of my own. She is quite the perfect pacakge, pretty quiet, great with other dogs, lovely with children, ok with cats, very friendly, very loving and affectionate. She is a very smart dog, she learns very fast, and follows rules and boundaries put in place, has a very even temperament and awesome personality. She has a low prey drive, and has been just wonderful to have around these last few weeks. She is housebroken, we do have a dog door, so she had access to outside whenever needed, good indoor house manners, and crate trained.  We did have one mishap when we first took her in as a foster, where she got loose from me. Once I opened the door she ran over and hopped in! Did I mention she is great in the car as well? We would have been happy to keep her here as long as needed. She really is the complete package, atleast for us she was a great fit! We hope she finds her perfect family to match.  She is going to make a lucky family very happy!"  Snoop is currently in New England in a foster home awaiting a FURever home. She would like everyone to know  " She is currently spending her dayz snuggling on the couch, getting head scratchies, belly rubz and playing with ALLLLL the toys, and protecting the couch from the weird broom that makes loud noises and sucks up the toyz!  Also getting lotz of cookies.. for being the bestest girl!  As much as she loves her foster mom, she would love really love to be doing all this in her FURever home, with a FURever family of her own.  show less

Nayalynn is a 1 year old small/med terrier mix, she weighs just 29lbs! She came to the shelter as a stray, she was flea infested, and was so scared at the noisy shelter. She would just tremble in her kennel. After a couple of days of decompression, she should staff how sweet she was! She was eager to play with the other dogs, and get attention from the staff. Her favorite thing to do was sit with one of the women volunteers and hear all about a family in the North waiting for her, and getting head scratchies.   Natalynn is medically UTD on her vaccines, she is 4DX/HW negative. She has not been spayed yet, but will be fixed at her next vet appt. She is full grown and will not get any bigger, she may gain a few lbs once her food is a better quality. Natalynn is good with other dogs, has not been cat tested yet, she is good with kids, we suggest kids 8 years and up due to her being so scared at the shelter. She loves her foster family's children and loves to play. She is good with people, and people friendly, she may be shy or nervous at first, but that is common with almost all rescue dogs at initial meetings.  Natalynn is a very sweet and loving dog. She know some basic commands and is still working on more training! She loves bones, especially smoked beef bones and antlers. She loves to play with her foster sibling as well!  if you are interested in adopting Natalynn, please submit an application! show less
