Meet Jim from The Office litter. This handsome guy is just under four months old, crate and almost potty trained, and best of all he loves other animals. If the cat in his foster home would give him a chance they would be playmates! Jim came to us from an independent rescuer in Mexicali. His littermates have been adopted but Jim has been working with his foster, who is a trainer, to gain some confidence around new people. He is making great progress! Jim is wonderful on leash, he is learning new things each day so stops to observe often, he is also learning walk time isn't play time. He is a sweet, playful and loving boy. He absolutely LOVES animal friends. He bounces after toys or grass which is so entertaining. After some play time or a good walk he will calm down to take a nice long nap and is snuggly! He is a puppy though, so you will have to watch your shoes. Jim's mom is a cattle dog mix but it looks like dad was a pit bull so we are looking for an active family who can continue all the great socialization he's getting in his foster home. We think he will be happiest in a home with another confident dog, and older respectful kids. Breed knowledge a plus! Meet sweet Darla, who came to us from a local shelter. Before that she spent most of her life, two and a half years, at a rescue in Mexicali. At about four years old Darla is learning about life outside a shelter, everything is new to her. She is a very easy, a sweet, loving dog. Playful with other dogs and runs so fast when she gets the zoomies in the back yard. She is otherwise very calm and relaxed indoors. She was very scared when rescued but has adjusted well in her foster home. Darla is working on basic commands, she is crate and house trained, and doing well on leash. At 32 pounds she is the perfect size for any living situation. She is looking for a family will get her out in the world with lots of experiences. She would love walks and hikes, she’s extremely happy when she’s outdoors and exposure to new environments boosts her confidence! Darla came to us with another dog from the same shelter and hasn't been the same since he was adopted. We think Darla will be happiest with a dog sibling and will need a patient family, with older children, that will help guide her through this transition into being a loving pet. If you would like to meet Darla please fill out an application on our website and an adoption coordinator will be in contact. show less

Meet sweet Faith. Are you looking for a mellow couch potato type dog? Faith may be the girl for you! She came to us from a rescuer in Mexicali with a litter of four puppies. The puppies were old enough to be on their own so we moved Faith to a foster where she could get all the attention she deserves. Faith was new to living in a home, and she has decided she likes it! She is crate and house trained, but still learning the ropes at leash walking. Truth be told, she is not a fan, for that reason we think Faith needs a home with a yard and humans who will take the time to teach her how much fun a walk can be! Faith has no tail and the cutest little wiggle butt when she is excited. She does jump on people which her fosters are working on so she will do best in a home without young kids. Due to stay at home orders she isn't left alone much but she does whine a little in the crate when her fosters leave the house. She loves sleeping in her crate though and often times puts herself to bed when she is ready. Faith has an underdeveloped eye which she can't see out of, but she does just fine. At 3 years old and just under 40 pounds Faith will make the perfect companion for just about anyone! If you would like to meet Faith please fill out an application on our website and an adoption coordinator will be in contact. show less
