How you would like to volunteer for Because Animals Matter in Hurricane, Utah?

I am interested in shift work which includes: letting the dogs out of their kennels to go to the bathroom, feeding the dogs, giving them fresh water, and giving them medication as required; cleaning the kennels, doing laundry, washing dishes, mopping floors; picking up poop and playing with the dogs. (Not glamorous, but very rewarding!) Morning shifts are from 8:00 a.m. - noon. Evening shifts are from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. or 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. I would like to give dogs potty/play breaks and supervise them between the hours of noon and 3:00 p.m.I would like to help exercise the dogs by taking them on walks. I would like to open my home to dogs in need through foster care. I am interested in fostering cats in my home.I would like to help with adoption events. This may include preparing dogs and/or materials for transportation to and from the event, walking dogs, talking to potential adopters, making sure dogs have access to water, etc. and unloading/re-kenneling dogs back at the Adoption Center after the event.I would like to help with fundraising programs/events like garage sales, manning a booth at the Hurricane Farmers Market, on-line auctions, etc. (We would love to hear your ideas!) I would like to assist with grant writing. I have a background in public relations and/or marketing and would like to offer my skills to help spread the word about BAM’s adoptable pets. I would like to support BAM by working at the BAM Thrift store. I would like to provide transportation for animals coming into BAM’s care, going to veterinary or spay/neuter appointments, adoption events, and/or to other rescue organizations or animal shelters as needed. I would like to work as a liaison with schools and other community organizations to spread the word about humane education and BAM’s community support programs. I would like to support BAM's online/social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). I am an amateur or professional photographer and would like to offer my talents to better showcase BAM’s adoptable petsI am very handy and would like to help with repairs and maintenance at the BAM Adoption Center and/or BAM Thrift.

As a volunteer of BAM there is a risk when interacting with animals and you will be required to sign a Volunteer Waiver of Liability, Medical Release, Photo/Video Release and Indemnification Agreement which releases BAM, its officers, directors, participants, volunteers and/or affiliate(s) from any and all claims, actions, liabilities, damages, and costs of any kind arising out of transportation, fostering or any other work or activity connected with BAM or any officers, directors, participants, volunteers and/or affiliate(s) or animals in our care from liability.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. BAM reserves the right to deny, for any reason, an applicant's request to volunteer through BAM.
