Volunteer opportunities with Border Paws

Please select any and all volunteer opportunities you would be interested in helping with

-Bathing dogs: (they get stinky!) Pick one of our dogs up, and take them home for a bath or take them to the Spaw and bathe them there (cost is covered), and bring them back when you’re done, or sign up to keep them for the day😊 -Buddy for a day: our dogs hate being at the facility all day everyday, so sign up to pick a furry friend up in the morning and you can bring them back that same evening. Examples of activities: (walk around pet friendly stores, go to the parks, get a pup cup, go for a car ride, take the dog to your house and let them relax, etc.) -Laundry: we don’t have a washer/dryer set up yet, and we have LOTS of dirty bedding that needs to be washed. We can pay if you want to take it to the laundromat. We will meet you at the facility to pickup the dirty bedding and you can bring it back anytime after it’s washed. We can provide detergent/bleach-72 HR foster care: ever considered fostering but it still seems like too much of a commitment? Consider taking a furry friend home for just 72 hours. We will provide food, kennel, and anything else needed. Help give a dog a break! -Misc events: sometimes we need extra help setting up events, help during events, or even help delivering materials to participating vendors during events such as Angel tree. -Assist in the daily caretaking of the dogs. This will require training, once you are trained you may be able to take care of the dogs at the facility. (includes monitoring groups of dogs, cleaning kennels, feeding times, etc.)

Release of Liability waiver

Type your name in the box below the waiver agreement as a virtual signature agreeing to the waiver. BY SIGNING BELOW, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ AND AGREE WITH THIS CONTRACT.

DEFINITIONS:

“I” shall mean any individual in the care or custody of any animal/pet from Border Paws.
“Pet” shall mean any pet or pets and shall include, but is not limited to, any animal associated with Border Paws

TERMS:

- I AGREE that this Agreement applies to and will be valid for any current or future animals originating from or associated with Border Paws.
- I AGREE that I will return the dog back to Border Paws within 24 hours.
- I AGREE that any purchases I make with respect to the Pet are not refundable or reimbursable to Border Paws.
- I AGREE that I am solely and exclusively liable for any injury or liability that occurs once I take possession of any Pet. I FURTHER AGREE that I will be responsible for taking all precautions to ensure any Pet in my care does not run loose, become a nuisance, destroy property, injure or be injured by another animal, or injure or be injured by any person.
- I AGREE to indemnity and hold harmless Border Paws or any of its volunteers, employees, agents, or associates, however classified or designated, from any and all claims, costs, charges, penalties, demands losses, liabilities, judgments, damages, or fines of whatsoever kind or nature, arising out of or related to this Agreement, including but not limited to reasonable attorney fees and costs, which include all taxable and non-taxable costs, including but not limited to expert witness fees, travel costs, court reporter fees, and any other fee or tax incurred during litigation (the “Liabilities”). I expressly agree to be bound by the actions of co-caretakers or other individuals coming into possession of the Pet and that, by signing this contract and agreeing to this indemnification provision, I understand that I am responsible for indemnification regardless of whether the Liabilities are incurred or occur due to my own actions or the actions of a third party.
- I AGREE that Border Paws does not make any guarantees and/or promises of any kind regarding the Pet’s disposition, temperament, or future health and personality.
