General Information

If you have found a stray cat, you must first check and follow your local ordinances to see if it is someone's pet. Before submitting an intake request please read our page, "Stray Cats" and/or "Stray Kittens," both of which can be found under the "Resources" section of the menu bar. Please note that CARE does not have a shelter, so intake is limited. Please fill out the entire form in order to be considered.

Feline Information

if more than one cat, please list all names.
If recently found- how long have you had the cat ei: days, months. If own the cat- how long have you owned the cat?

Stray cats may be someone's freeroaming cat, please check for a microchip and search lost pet websites before contacting a rescue or shelter.
Please list all names and corresponding ages if there is more than one cat. If a stray please estimate age.
CARE receives numerous intake requests. Please be specific so that we may determine the best way to help you.
i.e., can you pet the cat(s) or pick up the cat(s)?
If more than one cat, please note description and sex of that cat.
Virginia state law requires all cats to be up current on rabies vaccines.
Please be specific. this helps us determine how to assist you and placemnt in a foster home.
