Personal Information

Prospective Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Hope for Life Rescue. We are glad that you are choosing to donate the gift of your time to helping animals in need. Our volunteers are a vital part of the day to day running of Hope Center and we appreciate all useful time donated. All volunteers are expected to be self directed and work well as part of a team whose goal is providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our animals, staff, and visitors.

As much as we appreciate everyone who is interested in becoming a volunteer, we do require that you be at least 18 years of age if you are volunteering in the facility. An exception to that is when we offer puppy & kitten socializing opportunities, where we do allow volunteers as young as 7 years of age to participate with parental supervision.

We need volunteers every day between the hours of 8:00am - 03:30pm on weekdays & 8:00am - 4:30pm on weekends.

Volunteers will be asked to:

  • Help us maintain the general cleanliness of the facility
  • Walk dogs
  • Scoop litter boxes
  • Clean and disinfect animal rooms
  • Wash dishes
  • Sweep & mop
  • Socialize animals
  • and more!

Volunteers can also help us at events, with fundraising, and any way in which they feel they can contribute to our rescue!

Hope for Life Rescue, Inc. assumes no responsibility for any injuries incurred while volunteering.

Once you have finished filling out the form, just come in and we will get you started!

Thank you for choosing to Volunteer!

I hereby freely, voluntarily, and without duress execute this release and waiver of liability. I understand that the handling of domestic animals comes with certain risks and that caution must be taken when introducing animals into a new environment. I also understand that this release (and the terms specified below) applies to all members of my household and any persons I allow to have access to the rescued animal, both before and after an adoption contract. RELEASE AND WAIVER: I do hereby release and forever discharge, hold harmless, and agree to indemnify Hope For Life Rescue, Inc. from any and all liability, claims and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from my activities with Hope For Life Rescue, Inc. including, but not limited to adoption of a rescued animal or volunteering with a rescued animal. I understand that this release discharges HFLR from any liability or claim I may have against HFLR, with respect to any bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or personal property damage, whether caused by the negligence or unforeseen circumstances or behavior of a rescued animal. I will indemnify, defend, and save and hold HFLR harmless from any loss, liability, damage, or cost which may be incurred as the result of such claim. I understand HFLR does not assume any responsibility for or obligation to provide financial assistance or other assistance, including but not limited to medical, health, or disability insurance in the event of injury or illness.
I do hereby release and forever discharge HFLR from any claim whatsoever which arises or may arise on account of any first aid, treatment, or services rendered in connection with the handling of the HFLR rescue animal.
I understand that stray, feral, abandoned, injured, sick or other animals may be hazardous. I hereby expressly and specifically assume the risk of injury or harm to myself, my children, and all members of my household while in possession of the animal(s) and release Hope For Life Rescue, Inc. from all liabilities for injury, illness, mental duress, death, or property damage resulting from activities associated with the visitation or adoption of a rescue animal.
I acknowledge that I have carefully read and fully understand the contents and legal ramifications of the Release. I understand this is a legally binding and enforceable contract and agree and submit it of my own free will. I also understand that this Release also covers members of my household and any visitors I allow contact with the rescue.
