Volunteer Information & Interests

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer with Reach Rescue! We are excited to learn more about you and how you can contribute to our mission of promoting the rescue, adoption, and public education necessary to ensure that all animals passing through our care REACH a stable, healthy, and happy life. Please take a moment to share some information about yourself. 

Volunteers must be a minimum of 16 years old and minors will require parent or guardian signature to volunteer. JV program is available for minors 10-15. Please submit separate application for JV volunteer program.
If retired , profession prior to retirement
If yes, please describe your affiliation and participation with that group.
What experience do you have with animals, if any ? Have you owned pets, worked with animals before?
Do you have any specific skills, interests, or hobbies that could be beneficial to our organization (e.g., experience with animals, fundraising , social media, event planning.
Please provide as much detail as you as this will help us with finding volunteer roles that meet your availability. Please include any seasonal limitations, specific days and times you are available.
We all love animals, but what motivates you to volunteer with us? Please note - We are unable to accept court-ordered community service hours at this time.

Waiver of Liability

RECITALS
Volunteer elects to donate his/her time, effort and services to assist Reach Rescue in pursuit of its care of animals.

Waiver of liability, medical release, photo/video release and indemnification agreement for fosters volunteers and individuals participating in Reach Rescue inc. activities. 

In consideration for participating in various activities as a Reach Rescue Inc. volunteer and/or foster, I willingly waive, release, discharge and hold harmless any and all claims and damages for personal injury, death, or property damage sustained as a result of my association as a volunteer.  This includes but is not limited to negligence, carelessness or misconduct. This rider is intended to discharge Reach Rescue Inc., its directors, officers, and/or agents including heirs, representatives, successors and assignees from any and all liabilities, actions, claims, demands, costs, or expenses as a result of my participation in Reach Rescue activities in any capacity. I understand that certain activities involving dogs and/or puppies can be dangerous in nature involving the possibility of being bitten, scratched, jumped on, dragged or knocked down resulting in possible injury. 

The possibility of accidents and/or injury can occur during participation in volunteer and or foster activities. Knowing the potential risk involved, I nevertheless agree to participate in such activities and hereby agree to assume all risks of injury, and to release and hold harmless Reach Rescue Inc.  I agree that all services I provide are charitable in nature and entirely voluntary, and there will be no compensation of any kind for the performance thereof. Further I fully understand that as a non-employee I am not covered by Worker’s Compensation Insurance or any medical insurance plan associated with my volunteer activities.

I hereby grant Reach Rescue, Inc. Permission to use my likeness in a photograph/video or any other media such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr or the like  which may be accessible to Reach Rescue in any and all of its advertising or collateral materials, including the Reach Rescue website (www.reachrescue.org) without payment or any other consideration. I hereby irrevocably authorize Reach Rescue to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish or distribute any photos/videos taken of or by me for purposes of publicizing the Reach Rescue Inc. organization or for any other lawful purpose. 

I have carefully read this waiver of liability, medical release, media release, and indemnification agreement and fully understand the contents and agree to comply as set forth.
