About Peach - Special Needs

Age: 3 yrs
Weight: 45 lbs
Reported good with dogs of both genders and all sizes
Reported good with kids 5+
Special Needs:  Congential Rectovaginal Fistula with Anal Atresia (she lacks an anus and therefore, defecates and urinates through the same interior and exterior structures)

Peach is a very unique, Special Needs lady who is about 3.5-years-old. She is believed to be some sort of Shepherd mix and she weighs 45 pounds.

Peach is an extremely Sweet and Loving girl and she is great with kids, other dogs, and even cats but can be a little fearful with men. She rides well in the car and is a terrific dog. She is currently in a foster home with several other dogs and two cats. She is crate trained and finds comfort in her "home".  Gentle and smart she is great in a fenced-in yard. While she gets along with others she would love all of the attention.

Peach was born with a rectovaginal fistula with anal atresia. In more understandable language, she has no butthole and she poops out of her vagina. She has lived a very normal life with this condition, up until now, so we are fairly certain that she will be fine going forward.

Some rescues would not even consider placing a dog like Peach. We knew what a Love she is and so now she is here and ready to find her Forever Home. If you want to be the Special Place for this very Special Girl, Peach is READY.

Peach will possibly do well in a home with a doggie door and fence. Please contact us with any questions.

Age: 4 yrs Weight: 45 lbs Reported good with dogs of both genders of similar size This 4-year-old Brown Beauty is Belle. The petite pittie pooch is 50 pounds and is an absolute dream. She looks to her people for love and reassurance because Belle is a bit shy. This may explain why she is a cuddler extraordinaire! There is one thing Belle likes as much as hugs - toys! She loves toys. She loves to chase a toy or ball thrown for her but has not quite mastered the ‘return’ of fetch yet. So cute! Belle loves to be outside and go for car rides. She walks well on a leash and loves to greet people in her neighborhood, though she is still very shy when initially meeting them.  She loves walking in the woods and her confidence has been building while in her new foster home.  While in foster, Belle has learned to use stairs and the awesomeness of a bed.  She loves her fruits and veggies, broccoli and carrots are her favorite.  When she is excited about something (walks, food) she gets chatty but she is typically a quiet girl. Occasionally, this little darling will nibble on a pillow or blanket near her face but her foster redirects the behavior, working to help Belle learn what is off limits.  She is a low maintenance, easy gal. She enjoys leaning against her peeps, and likes a good belly rub. Belle is just such a love. She is a terrific dog and she is ready to be a part of YOUR family. Age: 8 yrs Weight: 50 lbs Reported good with dogs of both genders who are smaller than her Reported good with kids of all ages Dorothy is a love bug with the sweetest eyes. She has the most beautiful soft coat of ivory and brown. This 8 year-old, 65-pound sweetheart will melt your heart. She has the cutest butt wiggle and her tail wags all the time. Dorothy wants to be next to you, preferably with her head on your lap or even better, curled up in your lap. She loves to chill on the couch or dog bed, excelling at curling into the tiniest little circle imaginable. She also loves to romp in the grass, where she loves to roll on her back. Dorothy loves children of all ages. She needs slow introductions with other dogs, but has lived in a house with small dogs happily. She might like a slightly larger dog to play tug with. Dori (for short) recently learned to use stairs and she is doing great! She does not like to be confined, such as a crate, because she wants to be with her people or other dogs as much as possible. Dorothy is good as gold around the house if left alone, as she is perfectly house trained with good manners. Dorothy can't click her heels, but she keeps repeating "there's no place like home."
