About Cody

The Anti-Cruelty Society has the Home-to-Home Shelter Bypass service to help people find new accommodations for their pets privately. These animals are not located in any of the Society's physical locations. Please refer to the contact information in the profile below to inquire about adopting. Cody is a very sweet and energetic boy. He knows basic commands, is house trained and loves to go on walks. Cody does well with adults, children and other dogs, and he likes laying on the patio and snuggling on the couch. He is in great health and recently had a dental cleaning. Cody grew up in a loving home with the same family until late last year where it is probable he was kept in a crate for several days at a time. He suffers from separation anxiety, barks frequently and is scared when left alone. We have tried several things to ease his anxiety but unfortunately nothing has worked for us and we are at risk of having to move. Cody will do best with patient, knowledgeable adopters who have their own home (or very tolerant apt/condo neighbors!) and who have the time and energy to help him settle into a new family and routine.
