A Cuddly Girl Who Just Wants a Comfy Place to Snuggle! Maman Belle currently splits her time doting on her 4 bébés and snuggling with her foster mom. Now, it's time for her to just focus on finding and loving her new human! Belle loves nothing more than to be held. She will beg for you to pick her up by standing on her hind legs and 'clapping' her paws together! If you don't do it quickly enough, she will jump on your lap or the closest table to get closer to you. She likes to follow you from room to room and watch you with her inquisitive eyes. These bright eyes give her a started look, but her foster mom says it's just her observant and curious nature. She's always happy to be scooped up and pet. She might even headbutt you to show her appreciation! She has a very healthy appetite and will let you know if her food bowl is empty. Even if it is full, it's helpful to watch your dinner around her, as she likes to share! Maman Belle only has a portion of her tail due to a past accident. Because of this, she will need a little extra patience and care when it comes to her litter box behaviors. Sometimes, she needs to be cleaned up a bit after using the bathroom. Her foster mom or adoption staff can chat with you more about what's going on! If you're looking for a cuddly girl with a calm demeanor, Bell might just be the one for you!  It's easy to smile when you're with Clifford! This playful and fun-loving guy is full of joy and enthusiasm. His tail starts wagging as soon as he sees you walking towards him (especially if you're holding a leash)! We think Clifford must have been a family pet at some point since he's house-trained, super affectionate, and thoroughly enjoys car rides. Clifford is also happy to show off when there's a tasty treat involved, and has already earned 'sit' and 'come'. Clifford is a active boy who would love lots of space to run around and play, and he may get along with another dog friend depending on a meet!  Looking for a sweet cat who loves cuddling? Gary "the best girl" Woodland is super friendly and enjoys all the attention you can give her. She loves snuggling up to you when you are watching TV, working on your computer, or reading book in bed. She likes to check what you are doing on your computer (She is a smart gal!). She is quite talkative, she makes cute chirping noises when she chases toys around the room. She loves all cat toys I have given her but she goes crazy for strings (the ones on your hoodie included), ping-pong balls, toy fish, and laser pointers. Gary also know how to fetch!! She is spayed and litter box trained. Gary was not feeling great when she arrived at PAWS with respiratory issues and eye infections. She has received great treatment through PAWS. Feel free to email the foster for a few additional info about Gary's health. Gary has tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), which means her immune system is less developed, but doesn't require special treatment or affect her chances to live a full and happy life.  Meet Koshka, an adventurous little scamp who lives to play! When not sound asleep, Koshka is a constant source of laughter, chasing his toys around, trilling and chirping, and exploring anything new! It's all fun and games for Koshka, and an ideal home for him would have lots of little nooks and crannies to explore, some windows where he can keep an eye on nature, and a hallway he can chase his toys down. He loves to include any and all people in his playtime. This means he loves strangers, especially if they provide him with a round of classics like “sprint after the plastic spring,” “pounce on the piece of yarn,” or “kick the stuffed animal”. In general, he is happiest when he’s with people. When playing, he is pure comedy, doing somersaults, flying leaps and making triumphant chirps whenever he catches his quarry. Koshka can join a home with adults or older teens, as he can sometimes confuse where the toy ends and your hand begins. He would especially be a good cat for a night owl, as it's in the evening that he really gets his energy. While I haven’t had a chance to judge his reaction to other cats, he was rescued from a cat colony, meaning he would likely do well in a home with other kitties, especially if they can match his energy level and drive to play! Come and meet him today, he would love to find a partner in crime! Age: 3 years How I came to PAWS: Stray from Project Meow Animal ID#: A 44106522 I am not at the shelter.   Meet the world’s premier senior private eye, lovable Leo! *Leo is special needs due to his limited hearing and eyesight, a prescription diet to manage his kidney stone and recurring urinary tract infections, and the extra supervision he needs for his developing dementia.*  This kind, gentle 9-year-old professional needs your help as he solves crimes every day. You won’t meet a sweeter, happier soul, no matter what he’s up against. At his advanced age, Leo has begun to experience dementia, so he lazes and sleeps all morning and afternoon, thinking about mysteries. He’s happy to doze while you do your thing and doesn’t mind hanging out on his own, although he likes being pet and a morning snuggle. He often wags in his sleep as he’s getting closer to cracking the case - if only he could remember which one it was... Due to his dementia (and like every good detective!), Leo perks up to do his best work after sundown, and he’ll need you around to be the Watson to his Sherlock Holmes. He spends his evenings pacing in circles around his home office, getting to the bottom of the latest cold case - what were we looking for? Where exactly am I? You can help by reminding him of the details and providing affection and distractions, though his commitment to justice never wavers. Unless you have his dinner - then you have his full attention for as long as it takes to get it! Leo’s on a special diet since he’s developed a kidney stone, which can make him need to go out frequently, especially in the evening. Leo will always try his best to tell you when he needs to go, but he’s perfectly happy to be in a belly wrap in case of an accident. He loves nothing more than his investigative walks around the same block, at the same time, every day, so he can conduct Advanced Contact Tracing in every shrub and patch of grass. Leo can’t see or hear well anymore and is a little wobbly from an old injury, so open spaces or new places aren’t fun for him, but he’s happiest on-leash with a guide human to help him navigate obstacles on walks. When he’s on the scent of a chicken trail, he can forget that curbs exist...  Leo is a perfect gentleman - extremely friendly, resilient, and deeply trusting of people. He will be on a few daily medications for life, and his kidney stone is currently stable on a prescription medicated food. Leo needs a consistent routine and he will do best as your one and only pet/detective in a quiet, adult-only home, or could live with mellow, gentle cats or dogs who will respect his space and stay calm when he bumps into them. This dedicated thinker may never figure out where you left your bone, but Leo’s tail is always wagging while he ponders!  Age: ~9 years old How I came to PAWS: originally found stray; then adopted & returned for  Animal ID#: A-36229 Weight: ~12 pounds Mixed breed (It’s impossible to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.) Location: Foster Care All our dog meets are by appointment only; to get started, please complete the adoption application. Due to Leo's special needs, after general adoption approval his adoption meets will be up for manager review to further discuss his care. _____________________________________ To adopt a cat, complete the application at phillypaws.org/catapp.To adopt a dog, complete the application at phillypaws.org/dogapp.            Please reference this animal's ID NUMBER when inquiring.  Senior seeking lots of attention and cuddles. Hi I'm Marilyn. I am a 14 year old love muffin. My age is just a number...I am full of life and enjoy the finer things like cat trees, salmon treats, and some fancy feasting. I enjoy siting on laps and getting brushed. They used to call me sour patch kid because I could sometimes get grumpy,  but I'm learning more positive ways to express myself. I get overstimulated around children and other animals, so I'd prefer to be an only child...just me and my humans. Age: 14 How I came to PAWS: Animal ID#: A48143 I am not at the shelter.  Mr. Beluga is super sweet, loving, and playful! This special cat is a senior fellow with a heart of gold who is very affectionate and still has a fair amount of playful energy. He will show you his love with lots of cuddling, purring, head bumps, and 'hugs', but also likes to sit by himself--a nice mix of cuddle time and personal space! Mr. Beluga also likes to play and has tons of fun chasing ribbons and playing with spring toys. Like many senior cats, Mr. Beluga eats a special diet to stay healthy, and will likely need some dental work down the road to keep him comfortable in his golden years.   This very special guy has been through a lot, but through it all has remained incredibly sweet, kind, and gentle. He would be happy in a relatively calm household with adults or possibly older kids/teens, where he has room to play and windows to sit by (he likes to keep an eye on the birds!). Mr. Beluga has tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), which means his immune system is less developed, but doesn't require special treatment or affect his chances to live a full and happy life (learn more info here: https://phillypaws.org/wp-content/uploads/PAWS_FIV_FAQ.pdf). His foster mom and PAWS staff will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have, so we recommend you meet this sweet little guy today!
