About Ty

Ty had a very rough puppyhood, growing up in the streets of Mexico, fending for himself. There he had to learn to be tough and to claim his space aggressively to survive. He was adopted as a puppy at about 5 months, and recently returned for behavior issues, likely unable to shed some of his initial street life survival skills. He is currently housed with a trainer where he are continuing his training and rehabilitation, with progress every day. Ty's best suited home is with someone who has strong dog breed experience and can continue his disciplined lifestyle. He is a working dog, needs a lot of exercise and consistent stimulation, and must live in an environment where there are strict and consistent rules with no room for error. Ty is a smart dog, knows basic commands, and walks well on a leash with a good confident leader. He is crate trained and should continue to use a crate in his new home. His future adopter will continue to work with our trainer to ensure a smooth transition and to develop a strong structured and safe future for him and his family. If you think you are a good fit for this special boy, kindly complete our adoption application.

SPECIAL NEEDS Tiny Goosie was abandoned on the side of the road by her family who no longer wanted her, and now a happy new life has sprouted. Goosie is looking for a calm, stable home where she can settle into a routine, and enjoy her golden years with someone who is home all or most of the time, and with special needs dog experience with ability to make her their priority. She should be the only companion animal in the home as she guards her resources so may lash out at other animals. She is house trained but may have accidents due to her age and medications. Her age-related health challenges have improved through prescription diet, supplements and medications (arthritis, early stage renal disease, liver imbalance, tooth tartar, heart murmur) - she remains a feisty girl despite deafness, blindness in the left and partial sight in the right eye. She enjoys short 10-20 minute walks but due to limited mobility needs to be carried for curbs, stairs and uneven terrain as she may stumble and fall. She loves cuddling and napping with her people when it suits her, playing with her toys, and her treats! Riding in a crate or carrier in the car is best and helps to calm her during short drives (which she finds stressful).
