Hi, I'm Brinny and I want to be your 24/7 cuddle buddy and exercise companion. I love keeping you company while you work by sitting on your lap, but I'm always ready for a walk, a run, or a crazy zoomie session. I especially love sitting on your lap with my head in the crook of your elbow and my tummy in the air, waiting for tummy rubs. I can be shy at first, but once you've won my heart, I'll drape myself over your arms, cuddle, kiss, and beg for tummy rubs. My foster mom says I'm already acing my potty training and crate training at night. My ideal family will spend a lot of time with me at home-- I want to be with you 24/7 and I'm going to need some time, patience, and practice to be left alone without you. I may do better with a quiet home with adults or older kids. I believe Brinny already has familiarity with potty training. She does not signal when she needs to go out, but I take her out several times per day and she does her business. If she doesn't go, getting her moving (10min walk) tends to help. Her only accident was on her first morning when I let her out of the crate but didn't rush her outside. Getting her outside as soon as she's out of the crate has worked perfectly.Brinny does seem to naturally like "dens" but because she traveled home in the crate, was initially hesitant of confinement. We started with the base and top tied open and lots of treats and praise for going inside. She's continued to get her meals, kongs, and surprise find-its in her crate. She has slept in the crate every night. Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Cream Weight: 10.31 Age: 2yrs 0mths 2wks show less

Animal's Name: Buckie (Buckaroo)Animal ID Number: A180487What should your foster's bio say? Solidly built little companion. Energetic and loving lap dog. Always excited to see his humans! What did you implement for house training? Do you think it's working? He seems to be good at not marking indoors.Have you introduced them to a crate? If so, what kind of crate and what was their reaction? He sleeps in an open door crate that has an xpen attached. He does well going in on his own without complain. Interestingly he has not had any accidents in his quarters. How many hours did you leave them home alone? What was their behavior like when left alone? Buckie hangs out outside in the yard. Will occasionally have barking episodes, but can easily be quieted down. What is their behavior like with other animals? He's excellent with our large dog. Neither has a playful personality, but they get along even to eat side by side. He is great at not guarding food from people, but when he's done eating his meal, he imposes his dominance to eat the other dog's food. Been working on this with him.He has chased a cat and during a walk, was highly inclined to chase squirrels. He wouldn't be a good companion to a house cat. What is their behavior like with new people and/or children? : Buckie is cautious around new faces, but will get comfortable quickly. Is there anything else that you would like the new adopter to know about this dog, such as any special tricks or adorable traits? Good car rider. Good at walking on a leash, although a bit zig-zagged, but at least he looks back to check on his human.
