About Smokey

THIS IS A GUEST POST: Smokey is an abandoned or lost companion house cat who joined a feral colony but was friendly with people from the start. He had been beat up (probably by unfixed males in the area) before his rescue. He had been neutered as a TNR by someone since he was already ear-tipped. Smokey has a grey, medium length coat, with folded ears so we believe he is a Scottish Fold mix. He is FIV+ and has no teeth but is otherwise healthy. His age is estimated a 6-8 years. He is in foster with a dog and gets along well with them but we’re not sure about his temperament with other cats. He enjoys playing, LOVES getting attention, talking, snuggling, sleeping with his people, purring loudly, climbing his structure and watching cat videos. Smokey must go to an indoor only home. This is a guest post so anyone interested in adopting should contact Nadia Grochowski directly nadia.grochowski@gmail.com

SPECIAL NEEDS Tiny Goosie was abandoned on the side of the road by her family who no longer wanted her, and now a happy new life has sprouted. Goosie is looking for a calm, stable home where she can settle into a routine, and enjoy her golden years with someone who is home all or most of the time, and with special needs dog experience with ability to make her their priority. She should be the only companion animal in the home as she guards her resources so may lash out at other animals. She is house trained but may have accidents due to her age and medications. Her age-related health challenges have improved through prescription diet, supplements and medications (arthritis, early stage renal disease, liver imbalance, tooth tartar, heart murmur) - she remains a feisty girl despite deafness, blindness in the left and partial sight in the right eye. She enjoys short 10-20 minute walks but due to limited mobility needs to be carried for curbs, stairs and uneven terrain as she may stumble and fall. She loves cuddling and napping with her people when it suits her, playing with her toys, and her treats! Riding in a crate or carrier in the car is best and helps to calm her during short drives (which she finds stressful). If you think you could be a great fit for Goosie, please e-mail us for more information! therealbark@gmail.com show less
