About Tilly

Hello everyone! My name is Tilly! Below is some information about me: • I am approximately 10 months old. • One look into my eyes and I will make you fall madly in LOVE! • Very energetic and would do well in an athletic and active home. One with a yard would be great since my zoomies are top notch. • I have a little hop when I run or get excited. It is so CUTE! • Great with other dogs and enjoy playing with my foster doggie sibling. Still learning social skills, but am nothing but love. Would need to be in a home with a male dog. • Not sure how I am with a cat since I’ve never met one, but with my good nature, I’m sure we would probably be friends. • When I am not following my foster sibling around, I will be right by your side, snuggling and napping. • I am very AFFECTIONATE and love face scratches and belly rubs. I will melt your heart! • I am highly curious and love to discover everything around me. • Potty-trained and crate-trained and know my basic commands. Please help us get Tilly into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. Don't forget, Passion for Pitties is a 501(c)(3), so all donations are tax-deductible!…every little bit helps! Hello everyone! My name is Brie! I’m a beautiful 2 year-old little sweetheart that never stops SMILING! I’ve been at the shelter since May 29th when I arrived as a stray. Sadly, no one came to look for me there. I’m not sure why, since I would never stop looking for my family! The wonderful people at Passion For Pitties were so kind to pull me from the shelter and now I spend my days with my lovely foster family. This cutie pie is a social butterfly who enjoys being with people and LOVES belly rubs! However, I get a little nervous about being hugged or cornered, so young children could be problematic until I adjust to a loving home. Definitely treat-motivated, but I take them very gently. Going for walks is one of my favorite things to do, but I pull a little on the leash, so I’ll need a bit of help to learn how to walk nicely. I’ve also done pretty well during dog-to-dog intros! However, I still need proper introductions and supervision (as all dogs should have) and would probably feel more comfortable with one mellow dog or no dogs at all until I acclimate to a home environment. Please help us get Brie into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. Don't forget, Passion for Pitties is a 501(c)(3), so all donations are tax-deductible!…every little bit helps! Hello everyone! My name is Donnie! I am a sweet, goofy boy whose personality is emerging more and more every day as I get settled with my humans. Was in pretty bad shape when I arrived at the shelter, but the wonderful people at Passion For Pitties were so kind to pull me and give me a chance at a better life. Below is a little bit more about me: • Super SWEET with humans and am the biggest cuddle bug ever! Enjoy pets and will melt your heart as you look into my eyes! • Because I’m a big lug, I would do best with a family of adults or one with older children. • Don’t tell me I’m not a lap dog. If you’re sitting down, that lap is mine! • LOVE my humans so much, that it’s hard for me when we are apart. Have so much love to give and just want to say “hello.” Looking for a kind soul that will give me the reassurance I need. • Overall obedience is excellent and know all the basic commands. I’ve been told I’m an A+ student! • Enjoy going on walks and am great on a leash. • I am generally well-behaved around other dogs on walks, but would probably be best to be the only pet in the home. • Am eager to please and just need to learn what you want from me. • Ideally would have a home with a yard to play in. • Potty-trained and crate-trained as well. I am a sweetheart who really wants a family to help me become the best dog ever. A family that can help me to realize the happy, loving life that I deserve! Will that be you? Please help us get sweet Donnie into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. Hello everyone! My name is Etta and I am a sweet loving 8 year-old Pittie! My name is Etta and I listen pretty well when my name is called. I’ve had plenty of experience with puppies of my own. Because of this, I am very CARING of my 2 ½ year old foster brother Dallas. He and I gently play together a few times a day, often times playing tug-o-war with the toys, which I am perfectly fine with sharing. If I am done playing before Dallas is, I gently start to tell him I’m over him and may even voice it a little bit, but never get aggressive. I LOVE to sleep on my fluffy bed next to my foster mom while she works during the day. We have a routine down to where if I get up, I typically need to go pee and as long as she listens, I don’t have any accidents in the house. Plus, I have a nice size yard to play in and get lots of exercise there. Walks are great too and will typically listen when told to ignore something, but I do get excited when I see someone or another pup that I want to play with. So, I am working on that! I also love my 17 year-old human foster brother. He will play with me and pet me and let me give him all kinds of kisses! We all usually have play time outside in the evening til we are all pooped out. I even like to lay on my Human Foster Brother and sit on his lap. I don’t get on the couch or beds unless you ask me to. When its bedtime, I will go into my crate no problem and sleep there through the night. It’s nice and cozy! Oh, I also love to go on car rides! We go at least once or twice per day. Starbucks trips for puppaccinos are my FAVORITE! I will climb up into the car no problem, but sometimes need assistance with getting out. I do have a tumor on my back leg, which will be getting removed in August. It doesn’t really bother me much, but it does get in the way of things. For the most part, I’m a pretty chill girl that loves to be by my foster mom’s side. I do bark a bit when I hear noises outside that indicates someone might be there, but I just want to make sure everyone is safe! Other than that, I do howl and bark a little when I want attention or when she leaves me at home, but will eventually settle down. I am looking forward to meeting you and getting my forever home! **ADOPTER or FOSTER NEEDED** Hello everyone! Meet adorable Guppy! Guppy is 2 ½ years old and approximately 70-80 pounds. This sweet boy was going to be dumped at the shelter because the people who had him decided that they just didn’t want him anymore. Thankfully, a very kind person stepped in to save him and help him find a family who truly deserves this little love bug. That kind person is asking for our help in finding that perfect family. Guppy is currently staying with 5 other dogs and has been great with all of them, small and large. He’s been very sweet with all dogs he’s met in and out of the home, but he does need a bit of training since he never received any from the family who abandoned him. We don’t have much other information on this little guy yet, but we’ll continue to update as we learn more about him. Please help us get sweet Guppy into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. Hello everyone! My name is Minnie and I’m just a bundle of joy! I’m a 6 month-old little Love Bug that just LOVES to snuggle. Whenever I have the opportunity, I am in your lap or resting my head on you. One of the easiest going dogs you will ever meet. Ever since arriving at my foster home, I have been the perfect little shadow to my foster mom. Definitely will express my displeasure when my foster humans leave the room by whining a bit. Get really EXCITED whenever a tennis ball is brought out since it is sooo much fun to play catch! When I’m not spending time with my human fosters, I enjoy playing with my doggie foster siblings. Those boys are a bit rambunctious, but I love chasing after them or following them around the yard. My ZOOMIES are top notch, by the way! Basking in the sunshine is a nice way to spend my afternoon as well. Also enjoy going for walks and am easily walked on a leash. Need a little help with some basic commands, but I am improving every day. My foster mom says I am an A+ student! Am also proud to say that I have not had a single accident since arriving at my foster home. Crate-trained as well and will sleep through the entire night. Please help us get Minnie into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. *ADOPTER OR FOSTER NEEDED ASAP* This gorgeous girl is 7 year-old Mocha. 😍 Mocha arrived at the shelter as a stray on 06-15-2020 where she was found fending for herself alone in a field. 😔 Mocha looked to have been out on her own for quite some time before ending up in the shelter, as she had long nails, was very thin, and had a few cuts and scrapes on her legs. She was so scared and unsure of her surroundings that it took about 10 days before shelter staff could successfully even get her out of her kennel, 💔 but once they did, she became a totally different dog! Her little tail wouldn’t stop wagging as she happily greeted everyone she met and allowed all kinds of handling as the staff loved on her and did their exams. Mocha knows a couple of commands which leads us to believe that she was once part of a family, but due to being on her own for so long and/or no other formal training, she’ll need a strong handler who can help her learn polite doggie manners. 😇 Mocha will also need some work on being around other dogs, as she’s currently too excitable and doesn’t understand boundaries, so she’d do best in a home without other animals or small children for now. Once she’s had some basic training and safe, appropriate exposure, there’s a good chance that with the right family, she’ll eventually do well with other dogs or kids. 💜 If you would like to adopt our loving dog Mocha, please fill out an application at www.passionforpitties.com under the “Adorable Adoptables” heading. show less

Hi everyone! Our names are Poncho & Lucky! We grew up in a wonderful home with a loving owner that always took great care of us. Sadly, our owner recently passed away and we are both heartbroken. We are 4 years old (Poncho) and 2 years old (Lucky) and have always been together since Lucky was born. We are super bonded and really look out for each other. We really need to be adopted together because of our strong bond and will not be separated under any circumstances. Thank you so much for understanding!!! Below is a little bit more about Poncho (tan & gray male): • LOVE people and want nothing more than to be a lap dog. If you forget to pay me enough attention, I will remind you by gently placing my paw on you! • Playtime is the best and always love to play fetch in the backyard. • Playtime with other dogs is WONDERFUL and get along with all dogs. • Great on a leash and ignore all distractions. • Do well with children. • Overall my manners are really good, but still need a little bit of guidance from you. I’m a good boy and want to learn! • Am potty-trained and crate-trained. • Know how to sit and learning other basic commands as well. Below is a little bit more about Lucky (black & white female): • A ball of JOY that lives life at a slower pace than my brother Poncho. • Shy at first, but I warm up quickly and love attention. • Playing with my doggie brothers is nice for short amounts of time, but my favorite activity is lounging on any COMFY surface. Will steal your seat on the couch if you leave it even for a moment! • Always up for an adventure and happy to follow my brother Poncho around. • Great on a leash and ignore all distractions. • Do well with children. • Am potty-trained and crate-trained. • Know how to sit and learning other basic commands as well. Please help us get Poncho & Lucky into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. **FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED ASAP - BY AUGUST** Hello everyone! This cutie pie is Sharky! Due to a lack of training and being too excitable, sweet Sharky was dumped by his "family" on 4/20/2020. 😠 Sharky deserves a chance and will need some extra love and patience as he acclimates to a safe, loving home environment; as if being abandoned at only 8 months of age wasn’t enough, it was also apparent by the marks on his nose that he was stuck wearing the velcro muzzle he was left at the shelter with for extended periods of time. 😔 He's clearly been through a lot in his young life and is very confused about what's going on and why he lost his family so we're doing everything we can to set this little guy up for success, which even includes some extensive in-house behavioral training to help him become the calm, polite boy we all know he can be. Sharky is very young and like most bull terriers, can be determined, so even after training, he’ll need a dog-savvy person/family to keep him on the right track. 💙 While at the shelter, he did well with other dogs but it was noted that he has a rough-and-tumble play style. At this point in time, he’d do best in a home without young kids or small animals. Please help us get sweet Sharky into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. Hello everyone! I’m an adorable and handsome 9 year-old Bull Terrier/Pit mix named Stitch and I’m in need of a new home. My previous family was going to have me euthanized, but the wonderful people at Passion For Pitties were so kind to save me and now I spend my days with my lovely foster mom. Such a sweetheart and I absolutely LOVE people! My favorite activity is snuggling up next to my humans on the couch and am a master at it – despite having no concept of personal space. Will curl up next to or on top of any person! Unfortunately, my previous family had a baby about a year ago and the baby’s behavior has made me increasingly anxious, leading them to make the difficult decision of finding another home for me. I’m great with older kids, but due to the impulsivity of young children, a home with kids aged 10 and older would be best. Enjoy lounging in the sun, going for walks and am very food motivated! Know all the basic commands and am potty/crate-trained. Although I have some separation anxiety, I do not exhibit destructive behavior and am fine with staying in my crate. Although I have lived with a Jack Russell since 2012 in a largely peaceful coexistence, would be best to be the only pet in the home at this time, as I often react to other animals. A strong and experienced owner that has an active lifestyle to give me the proper exercise I need would ideal. With the right leadership and proper training, my new owner can help me overcome my issues to become the best dog ever. Unfortunately, I just didn’t get that with my previous family. Please help us get sweet Stitch into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated.
