Hello, Champagne here! I am the mama of 6 pups and, now that my work is done, I am looking for a home of my own. Let me start with the basics: I'm an approximately 2 year old mixed Retriever weighing 38 pounds. I am housebroken. I do well with 3 walks a day and a little run time in my foster's fenced-in backyard. I do pretty well on leash and enjoy a walk (gotta lose that baby weight).  I get along very well with the small dogs that live in my foster home; we play all the time. Even though I bark at my foster dad, I get along with him and will crawl up on the couch sometimes to get gentle pets. Actually, it takes a little bit for me to warm up to men, but if you let me set the pace we will do well over time. Crates are not my thing, but I guess that is okay, because foster mom lets me hang in the gated kitchen during the day and lets me sleep in my comfy bed in their bedroom at night. During the day, I will nap with the other dogs and when foster mom gets home, I am raring for some people time and will follow her everywhere, seeking out pets and belly rubs. I also like to stretch my legs and really run around the backyard when we are outside. Their puppy likes to play chase with me, which is sorta funny since his short Terrier legs are no match for my long ones. The only food issue I have is that I enjoy a tablespoon of wet food mixed in with my dry food. If you provide just dry kibble, I will refrain from eating until you provide the proper mix. I am learning (and very quickly) that if I sit and accept it gently, I get this thing called a treat. I love treats. Some of my favorite treats include an occasional baby carrot or bit of banana. I know sit, down, and wait and will perform these actions for a treat.  (I'm no sucker).Make plans to visit me during an adoption event. I'm hoping to raise a toast to a successful adoption!Interested in adopting this dog? As handsome and popular as the brand itself, Gucci is a dog you'll want to show off. Don't worry though, this majestic boy is not spoiled or stuck-up; in fact, he loves the simple things in life. Some of his favorite pastimes include running around the yard, playing with the resident dogs in his foster home, and cuddling up with his human companions in the evening. At 4 years old, this Pitbull mix knows his manners. In his foster home, he will either use the doggy door or sit by the door when he has to go out. He has mastered sit, come, and down, and does not need a crate for he is not a chewer (nor is he a barker). His foster reports that he does well on his walks and is overall a very fast learner. Previously a stray, his good manners are truly impressive. Gucci's quirks? He will crawl into your lap even though he is 66 pounds, attempt to climb trees, and whine whenever his picture is taken. So much for this handsome boy's modeling career! Gucci loves being around people, receiving belly rubs and showing his thanks with his wiggly butt. He does not like being alone for long stretches of time, so a family who is not out for more than 4 hours at a time would be best for Gucci. He loves to cuddle with other dogs so would enjoy having a friend in his new home.A total sweetheart, Gucci is going to make an amazing addition to his future family. Smart, well-behaved, cuddly, and friendly, what's there not to like? Sure to add that extra richness to your life, Gucci will be waiting for you at the show this Saturday!Interested in adopting this dog? Igor Cavalera: smart, affectionate, lovable. Oh, and an escape artist. Named after a drummer from a rock band, this 3-year-old Collie/Great Pyrenees mix is sure to get your blood pumping.Igor is very loving, both with his humans and with other dogs. He's always up for a good game of catch and is happy to share his toys. Igor is housebroken and knows to only chew on his toys and bones. He is NOT a fan of the crate and will let you know he's unhappy if placed inside. For this reason, he would do best with a family who is frequently home. This is one smart dog and he will surely thrive with ongoing training. He figured out how to navigate a door handle and is quick to let himself out if given the chance. Igor is great on the leash and enjoys exploring the neighborhood on walks or in the car.At 85 pounds, Igor is a lot of dog - but it's all heart. He is filled with love and enthusiasm for life. Can't we all use a little more of that?Interested in adopting this dog? Maeve: mostly blind, mostly deaf, and given up for just being old. But that hasn't stopped this Poodle/Bichon Frise mix. At about 15 years old, Maeve still has a lot of life left in her. Her foster mom calls her a "hero dog." She is sweet, stoic, and beginning to feel better after not being cared for properly. Maeve is housebroken, crate-trained, doesn't bark, and never chews on things she shouldn't. She is curious and confident in learning her new surroundings, a task with which the resident dogs are helping. In fact, Maeve would probably prefer to have a buddy in her new home to help show her the ropes.Initially shy, Maeve is very attentive. She is slowly learning to snuggle - something she dearly deserves and needs. She enjoys exploring the yard and going on car rides. Senior dogs can be among the easiest to adopt because they know the rules and the most rewarding because you get to show them what a loving home is all about. Sweet Maeve will soak up all the love she can get. Do you have some to spare?Interested in adopting this dog?
